The volvo is a great parts set. But not a set set. Just like the BWE. -

The hearse continues. I'm quite happy how the front grille turned out.. Now i need to make a bumper for this. At first i was trying to make this a drifting hearse. But then i acquired some buggy motors and drag slicks and wondered if i should go make this a drag hearse instead. After fitting the double buggy motor axle under this bodywork, it was kind of sluggish to start accelerating but decently fast once you got going.. Then i started to think about making this a crawler herase.. Kind of like this. It could also be made with tank tracks. But i think the crawler would be the best choice to go with. Currently it has these features: -Roll cage -Forward opening hood -Sideways opening trunk. -Openable doors -All doors have a stud that locks them. The hood has a hood pin that you pull out. I'm aiming for these features to come: -Full interior -Coffin at the back -4x4 crawling axles. -Fake engine -Front bumper with winch possibly. (Winch could be mounted in the front mask which would be pretty cool.) Anybody following this thread? I haven't got this close making an actual good moc before. -

Use a 4 long axle with end stop. That way you can wiggle the stop loose enough for a knife or fingernails to pull the axle out. This will be a precaution in case the pins get placed the wrong way. -

Looks great! "BEFORE ANYONE BUILDS THIS: If assembled incorrectly, the parts will be very hard to disassemble, the blue 3l pins must be facing a certain way to disassemble the structure." I don't get it? -

It's an awesome axle design. All it needs is suspension and how to attach it to a frame -

How do the CV axles handle torque? Will the motor yield or the CV pop out? -

It's amazing. It's better than the original model by far! Very creative use of that mud guard as a front grille. You just murdered the original model by far with this C model.- 21 replies

I think we should include suspension solutions with the axle in this thread. So many axles to make but so very little solutions on for example: live axles, how to attach them to frames with linkages ect.. -

Actual working airride would be amazing on lego. Even a mechanical one would be cool. -

MAN truck is such a delight to drive in real life.. Glad to see more MAN trucks being moc'ed! If you're taking any suggestions, i'd love to see the adjustable suspension on a MAN truck. (If parked on a hill, you can straighten the body so u don't have to push pallets in a hill.) -

Well honestly there are only a handful of people who can make amazing mocs like these, but there are millions of people who simply can't build any mocs. You are in the 1% whos mocs are so amazing that the chinese take all that effort to start copying it and mass producing it. In my opinion i think it's good that some of those 1%ers are sharing instructions for free. The rest of us with no talent have a solid base model moc to start modifying from. Perhaps even learn new building techniques. Of course lego is expensive and getting money from instructions helps.. But what fun hobby isn't expensive? Sure it sucks that the chinese are making money off of your creation. But there is realistically very little we can do about it. So we are only left with two options. Pull the strings and put the work in and actually do something about it. Or just forget it and move on. -

Just use a 2 long axle instead. That's pretty much a blunder on the instructions. -

There are two ways to fight these chinese copy cats. Option 1: -Make instructions that cost money. -Get copied by chinese copycats -Take legal action -????? -Profit. Option 2: -Make free instructions. -Get copied by chinese copycats -They can't make sales because the original instructions are free. -????? -Profit. If you can think of a water proof solid plan that works then please share! Either way, the chinese copy cats sell full models including bricks and instructions. While we only sell the digital instructions. Which is considerably cheaper than the full model the chinese sell. -

I wonder if lego has fixed this planetary hub so it doesn't disintegrate when used on mud and dirt. -

Nicjasno is the first one to stream a lego build from start to finish that i know of. Excellent idea. I've learned so much from viewing hes stream. Hope to see more streams like this in the future. -

It would be easier to build steering for the wheels only but the CV or U joints used would be a weak link considering the raw power the buggy motors have. Rotating both buggy motors with the front wheels is going to be tricky. You'd probably need a some sort of virtual pivot linkage and build a frame around the buggy motors to accept it. Not to mention if you want suspension for it, it'll be even harder. But it all depends on how much space do you have in your use?
