  1. Looking at the paintings again, I find it very unlikely that Lord Harcourt is a Dragon. We see that the "assassin" (playing the name game again, this is a "bad" word) tries to kill him. This assassin is wearing a hood and a cloak, just as the killers of poor Fergus the scullion did. Therefore, the assassin must be a Dragon. If Harcourt was a Dragon, why on earth would he be attacked by one of his own? Thus, he must either be a vigilante or a serial killer. If he had no allegiance, then I assume that his sworn enemy the Wizard would also have no allegiance (well, it would seem to fit). However, a character with no allegiance having a protecting role would be useless. Also, we only saw 2 night killers doing anything in the paintings. Since it is much more likely for there to be a vigilante than a serial killer, and there could only be one of these 2 options, I would say that he is the town vigilante. So, we just voted off our vigilante. I hope that tomorrow, we'll think all of this through before we vote aimlessly.
  2. I was directing that question more at the bandwagon voters, who would otherwise have no clue what was going on if they were loyal. I suppose that's plausible. You are seen standing next to Lady Harcourt at the beginning of the day.
  3. And Sirion, what exactly did you do last night? Surely a Wizard's role isn't bedding women? I assume that since the Sorcerer appears to be a night killer, you must be a night killer too?
  4. Oh wait, you did. Nevertheless, I trust you more than I trust that ImperialSnake and his Scorpions over there. Strange that there are so many night killers though - at least 3, I count. I suppose at least 1 must be a sort of serial killer?
  5. I haven't had time to read through this thread.. of life again, but I thought I'd better throw together a few sentences (of life?) before night comes again. It's amazing how desperate some of you are to get Lord Harcourt voted off. I'm sure that that can only mean that he is loyal. How else can you be so certain he is scum, unless you are yourself scum and you know for a fact that he is loyal Ricecracker, General Armendariz, Striker... you're all far too hostile and nonsensical for me to believe that you're loyal. Alice and Sir Dillon... you're more subtle about voting for peopl, but you're still on my watchlist. Zepher - You didn't join the bandwagon for a vote against Ethel, and for that reason I trust you.
  6. But on the other hand, the lord turns rogue, they have more to lose. They're already in a high position of power, why would they want to risk losing that to stop a treaty from occurring? On the other end of the spectrum, what do maids have to lose but a couple of rags and a broom? Face it, everyone is just as likely to be a Dragon. Even still, I'm not voting for Ethel. We have no evidence at all against her. It's just a random stab in the dark. I'd rather risk "sudden death" than risk killing a loyal town member based on no evidence. Indeed. Ethel, if you have any useful night actions for the town, now would be the time to speak up. The last thing I want us to do is vote off an investigator or something without any evidence.
  7. From what I see, I do believe there are only 3 people who come from outside of Matidoer - the 2 ambassadors and Nicholas the guard. That's mainly based on their colour scheme and costume though.
  8. Ooh, what's this "Red Moon" I see, Hinckley? There's a nice basic guide to hosting mafia games here. Other bits and pieces can be found in the original 2 links in the OP: mafiascum.net MafiaWiki
  9. Thanks. Wanna get married?
  10. Really? I've always preferred another timeless classic: "Fernando's Inquisitor's Guide to Witch-Spotting" Surely sudden death can't be much worse than killing off someone without any evidence? If we do get enough evidence to vote someone off, I'll be all for it, but if not, I won't be voting just for the hell of it.
  11. So, who wants to hook up? In times as bleak as these, I need a Count that I can, err, count on. ... and I'm not a witch either!
  12. Oh dear, this is terrible news! It is horrible that people are trying to stop the progress that our beloved land has been making. I too am curious as to where Betty is, if she still lives I'm sure she'll be able to help us out in some way. It seems that one of the hooded intruders did. We only saw one of them leave the castle too, perhaps the other is still loose in the west wing?
  13. To be fair, I only started giving out bigger clues against you when you had helped to kill JimButcher and you were trusted by the majority of the town. If the town had caught onto the clues I would've stopped, but they didn't. I also felt obliged to give the scum a bit of a handicap, because I had made them a tad too strong in the beginning (with a killer, converter, blocker and bodyguard - also the reason why I included a scum usurper). Not all of the clues were directed at you and the scum either - there were a number of red herrings throughout the game. The main ones that spring to mind were the latecomers without night actions and Quarryman being at the scene of Dragonator's death. I personally like the idea of clues in mafia games. It stops players from always lurking and staying under the radar and forces them to defend themselves at some point. Of course, decisions should be made mainly on the behaviour of the player, but clues allow players to think on their feet and stops the game from being bogged down when players don't know what to do.
  14. Now for the clues! Some of these were fairly hard to spot, but others were more obvious. Day 1 Morning - Donna and Shawn are late - they are both scum Day 2 Morning - Donna has a scared face when looking at Augustus' dead body - she is scum - Bob the Construction Man is looking at Darth_Legois - was blocked by her that night - Latecomers - Carlo, Zita, Shawn (scum), Artie (investigator), Sal (killer), Rose (killer - Henry is looking around for her (Henry was going to get more and more clues that his wife ws a killer as the game progressed, but he was converted before anything could really happen, and Rose never killed anyone again)) Day 3 Morning - Latecomers - Michelle, Jerry (ordered killing), Sal (killer), Artie (investigator), Henry & Shawn close togther (Shawn had just converted Henry) Evening - Shawn is now the leader of the Mob, now that Jerry is about to die. - Jerry no longer has the support of the rest of the mafia - Shawn, Sal and Donna have turned against him - Henry & Shawn, together again, are heading to the Aventine again - as in the letter Artie found Day 4 Morning - Artie is still studying the letter he found- disproves Shawn's theory about the letter being Jerry's - The vigilante and the blocker exchange pleasentaries - they have seen each other before (Donna & Robert) - Shawn had failed to convert Aida that night; he had been to the Aventine last night - as it had said in the letter! - Samuel is a no-good investigator, just like that lovable man in red back in Azufre. - Samel, Sal (killer), Donna (blocker), Robert (vigilante) and Shawn (converter) are not even seen at the morning meeting - all late Evening - A similar picture to the one of the mayor's death. Shawn is in the same position as the killer was Day 5 Morning - Shawn and someone else return from cinema Shawn is acting, making up his story - Shawn wearing a fedora and seen right next to that car that has carried out all of the killings - I wonder if he's a member of the mafia? Evening - Shawn, Sal, Donna and Henry are main figures seen - all scum/Mob. "deaths of their friends" - Rose had only killed a member of the scum, no town members. Day 6 Morning - Robert, Samuel and Shawn had all wanted to meet at the Aventine after their night actions. Instead, it was arranged to kill Robert. Someone involved in the meeting had to be scum. Evening - The scum had been deciding everything for the town for the whole game. In the end it's the machine gun man/Sal who kills Zita, incidently a member of the scum. - Sal is standing in the same position as the gunner was - he is the mafia hitman Day 7 Morning Joey can see the scum meeting outside, but like the rest of the townies, doesn't do anything about it. 2 scum have fedoras, one doesn't (has been convered). Good work to WhiteFang for spotting that. - Carlo (protector) and Henry (scum) are late. Above Henry is the Aventine, as he was converted there(as stated in Artie's letter), and also because he is an oinking Aventine pig. - Samuel is late (investigator) and behind himk is the old Fernandez trick again. Sal is not even in sight, the latest of the bunch (killer). This is the 3rd time Sal is late (no Striker, this wasn't the first time I can't believe you got away with saying that.) Evening - Shawn being a sneaky silvertongue one last time. PMs - Samuel Stevens is naive - Weasel words were used - "you believe", "you decide" etc. - None of the investigations were thorough - "after quickly searching", "brief search" etc. - You hear Eugene being shot at, but don't help out as a police chief would do. Instead you hide and go to bed when it's over. - Again, you do nothing to help Donald as a policeman should have - go to the Aventine instead. - You hear that a hit is going to take place, and do nothing to stop it again. The Conclusion - the final clue I hope that one was enough to sway the town's opinion. ------ All of the roles were random, I swear! How else do you think Zepher wound up as a man? Thanks to everyone for playing, this was a lot of fun.
  15. Margaret Durville, Countess of Matidoer is here!
  16. Sorry, I've got exams running at the moment. I'll get the rest of the nonsense posted in about half a week.
  17. Looks great Dragonator. Vote: ImperialShadows I mean... sign me up please!

  20. Christopher Tortellini/NewRight stood in the Aventine. "Is everything ready?" he asked. "Yes sir." "Excellent. Dish it out." "Here you go Father. Your meal is ready." Father Walters/WhiteFang's face lit up, "May the lord smile upon you son." "Mmmm. Delicious." *Ratatatatatat!* "This gravy is divine!" *Ratatatatatat!* *Ratatatatatat!* Father Walters finally realised what was going on, and quickly dived behind a table. Christopher Tortellini had been killed. He was a humble Townie. The hitman looked around, "where did that damned priest go?" Walters had turned to the only thing he could still trust - he climbed up the chandelier. Eventually the hitman found him however, and began to open fire. *Ratatatatatat!* Unfortunately, a few shots in the back put the poor priest off balance. Father Walters fell from the chandelier, dead. A Grim fate indeed. He was a member of the Town. Sal/Striker congratulated himself on a job well done, "Where are the others?" he wondered. Aida/Alice strolled along the street with a smile on her face. She suddenly stopped at the sight of Hawks Diner. She suddenly thought back at something that had happened last week. That horrific event that had changed the city forever. *A man had approached the mayor from behind, gun in hand. She hadn't quite caught sight of the man's face* *A gunshot had rang out. BANG!* *Gloria had tried to run* *The killer didn't want any witnesses. BANG!* *Aida had seen a man leaving the scene of the crime* Of course! Aida began to run, eager to find someone and tell them what she had realised. Unfortunately, someone else had found her first. "I tried to convert you a few days back. You were more loyal to the town than I expected. You could've joined us. Now I'll have to kill you." *BANG!* Aida was dead. She was a member of the Town. Samuel Stevens/Stash2Sixx came outside, pleased with the work he had done. He had just visited Shawn Imperante/ImperialShadows' apartment. A smile appeared on Samuel's face when he found another town member... "Henry," Samuel said, "come here!" Henry/Hinckley turned around, pleased to have found another citizen still alive. "Listen to me. We're the last members of the town left. The scum are killing every townie they can find. We have to find somewhere to hide." Samuel led Henry to a safe-house he knew of. "I've got some good news Henry. I just searched Shawn's house. I'm not naive anymore! Shawn is a confirmed member of the scum! He's the new boss!" "Yeah, I know. Asked me to visit him at The Aventine on the second night. You've been very helpful to us, Sam, and I'm grateful for that. But now that we're in complete control, we don't need you anymore..." "The show's over for you. Haw haw haw!" *BANG!* Police Chief Stevens was a member of the Town. A car pulled over. Shawn Imperante stuck his head out of the window, "Henry, nice job. I knew it was a good idea to convert you. All opposition is gone now - we've won. We're heading over for dinner at The Aventine now. It's a celebration. Come on." "Congratulations guys! Biggs should be on his way here shortly." "There they are!" "Good work guys. I couldn't have become mayor without you. I hope that we continue doing business together. Cheers." "... This is taking forever. Is the food here usually this slow, Imperante?" "No, they're usually very good. I don't know what the problem is. They must be having some trouble in the kitchen..." ... And that's how it all went down. Guilder City would always be a breeding ground for the scum. It would always be a town full of corruption and extortion. Well, unless a sequel comes at some point. But it probably won't be. So yes, Guilder City will always be corrupt.
  21. Has anyone seen 10193 in stores? I just noticed that two 10193 Medieval Market Village sets are being sold on TradeMe for the first time. Does this mean that the sets are being sold in NZ, or just that 2 sellers have happened to get the set from SaH at the same time?
  22. Vote Count Carlo Ferguson/Commander Flash: 5 Votes (ImperialShadows, Striker, Hinckley, Stash2Sixx, Alice) Sal/Striker: 2 Votes (Commander Flash, NewRight) Undecided: WhiteFang Guilder City had made a decision. Did they still have a chance in winning? Or did they just blow their last shot at surviving in this town? What am I asking you for, none of you have got a clue. In their usual suspenseful fashion, the town closed in on poor Carlo Ferguson/Commander Flash "Stop you fools! I'm a member of the town! If you kill me our beloved town will fall. If -". "Nonsense! You're lying through your teeth Carlo. Trust me, this man is the one that has caused our town all its hardship. He has murdered six of our dear friends and family with his dreaded machine gun: Dr. Agon, Eugene, Donald, Lorraine, Robert, and just last night, Joey Quinn... "... You're a sick, vile man, Carlo. You are Scum. It's a good thing we've finally got you now. You won't be harming our good town ever again." *BANG!* Carlo Ferguson lay dead on the pavement. "Oops, when I said Scum, what I really meant to say was the Towns' last bodyguard. Easy mistake to make, right guys?" "Fair enough," the town agreed. The sun had fallen and Guilder City was engulfed with the darkness of the night. Who would live to see the coming day? The town dispersed and headed back to their homes for the night. Day 7 is over. It is now night. PM me your night actions within 48 hours or it will not be counted. If everyone gets their night actions in sooner, Day 8 will be posted early. This thread may be closed.
  23. I've actually made about half of these over a year ago, but never got around to posting them. Now I've become interested in the idea again though, and have added some more creations. I'm thinking of perhaps making a comic based around these. Crown Knights Light Crown Troopers Crown Knight Troopers The Crown Parliament / Ambassadors Trolls Troll Warchief Elite Troll Warriors Large Troll Troll-Armed Dragon Barbarians/Dwarfs (I'm not entirely sure who these guys are -they're something of a cross between the Dwarf and Viking factions, with a bit of Russian influence. Whatever way, I like them. ) Generals' Staff Crown Knight Embassy Barbarian Gang Leader Shock Troops The Dwarfs Communications / Scout Sniper / Heavy Weapons The entire gang Skeletons The Evil Wizard Skeleton General (Death) Elite Skeleton Troopers Skeleton Horde Enjoy! Feedback much appreciated.
  24. I bought the 5973 Hyperspeed Pursuit today for about 20% off at Moore Wilsons today. The set was better than I had expected. The twins look fantastic, and the ships are great, I love the odd shapes of both of them. A great buy.
  25. Vote Count Carlo Ferguson/Commander Flash: 4 Votes (ImperialShadows, Striker, Hinckley, Stash2Sixx) Sal/Striker: 2 Votes (Alice, Commander Flash) Undecided: WhiteFang, NewRight 5 votes are required for a majority. Remember that if the town vote for the wrong person today, they will almost certainly lose the entire game... of life. Also remember that it is possible for the town to vote on a No Vote if they wish, in which case no one will be voted off today. The day will not end until a decision is made by the majority.
