  1. Good idea to flash out some scene of minifigs' everyday life, despite they are still wearing uniforms. I like that levelling instrument. I also like the advertisement for Eltina Shipyards.
  2. Nice job with the terrain elevations, combined with different plants and trees, give a convincing look to the whole build. Nice minifigs posing as well.
  3. The most frequented place in New Nassau. Nice collection of flintlocks and swords, and it's great to see some old faces, for example captain Ironhook.
  4. Thank you Mister Phes, appreciate it.
  5. Nice build, it looks huge, I like the details included in it, such as the staircase and the shrouds, the ship's section looks good too.
  6. Please, do build one, fire ships are even rarer, I don't remember having seen one in the Bobs. Thanks for the compliment, I'll try to keep it coming.
  7. blackdeathgr, Keymonus, Professor Thaum, thanks guys, glad you like my ship. @Professor Thaum ce sont pas des blasters, le gars a gauche a une mitrailleuse Lewis, l'autre a droite a une mitraillette PPSH.
  8. The staggered build looks good, it helps to better distinguish the defenders from the attackers. Nice minifigs posing too.
  9. Covering the black stripe with plates is a good solution to work with these two tones hulls, I just need more practice.
  10. Thanks guys! Maybe I could try to extend the plates further towards both ends next time, I won't hesitate to give it another try as I'm a fan of those classic hull pieces.
  11. Did I hear Terraversa? Interesting... @Sir Kingston if I'm not mistaken that agent of yours is wearing an OL officer jacket, not sure if it's a good idea to him to send him on the field dressed like this, he may face a different fate than Sir Cooke, who's already enjoying Terraversans hospitality.
  12. Thank you! Glad you like it. Thanks for commenting. By neutral, you mean a white background? A piece of white cloth should do the trick. And much faster. Glad you like the snot deck, I forgot the correct word these "grids", they are built with 1*1 brown bricks, part number 4070, they are connected to the deck with snot bricks.
  13. The terrain looks very good, I like the diversification of landforms and vegetation. I also like the custom built harquebuse, not sure if it's the correct term, that primitive firearm in the hands of one of the Lotii soldiers.
  14. Thank you Sir Kingston, as said above, I failed to find a better solution for the helm, but I'm sure it should no longer be a problem at a larger scale, with the helm placed underneath the poop deck, sheltered from tempests, I wonder if this configuration could provide certain degree of protection during naval engagement.
  15. Glad you like it, Thomas. The other advantage with snotted bricks is they are much easier to detach than tiles, they have the tendency to break even when I remove them with a separator. This everlasting home quarantine certainly helped. I'm also satisfied with the result of the upper gunports, I tried different combinations to have a decent representation of these gunports, as the upper ones were smaller than the lower ones. Using Windows frames is a good solution, as captain Greenhair did with his magnificient Fleuron, but I don't have that much red windows, so instead, I had to build the entire deck with snotted plates and using red fences to represent gunports. Thank you for the correct terminology, the helm was a result of compromise, playability was sacrificed in place of aesthetic, otherwise, you'll see a blocky box structure on the top of the stern. Thank you Fraunces, glad you like it.
  16. Nice build, I like all these masonry bricks, looks very sturdy. The emblem looks good too.
  17. Thank you Fraunces. In fact nothing fancy with the rigging, it's just a time-consumming job. Thank you Spud the Viking. Thank you Ross. Thank you, glad you like it. Thank you KotZ.
  18. Looking good, I like ships built with these narrow hulls, and nice job with the sails and rigging.
  19. Thanks for the positive comment, and I'm curious about your opinions of Oleanders. I guess they had to rely on oral commands from the lookout to steer.
  20. Well, that's what happened when people fight against firearms with swords. Nice terrain, and greenery, those flamingoes look really good, do you know which set do they come from?
  21. In contrast with the eye-catching launch of large SotL, the arrival of a bomb ketch had drawn much less attention. Though of modest rating, as a vessell specially built to deal with land fortifications with its mortar(s), a bomb ketch could still find its place in a fleet. The boat is built with narrow hulls, elongated with slope bricks. As I used captain Greenhair's technique to cover the black stripe with more colour matching plates. What distinguish a bomb ketch from other ships is its large mortar, le Poule mounts two of them. The front one is fully functional, able to shoot a rubber round to the target. The other one has a more conventional look, can't shoot a round but looks more realistic, I think. Serving aboard of a bomb ketch can be dangerous with all the explosives lying around, so the boat was crewed by a bunch of moustached veterans, note the importance of the moustache, as it means experience and seniority. Alas, at the exasperation of the young lieutenant, seniority may also bring some side-effects, such as arrogance and insubordination. Vive le Roi!
  22. Succumbing to heavy load, the ramp squeaks and groans, with a exclamation of joy, another tall ship was launched. It was a two-decker warship, pierced with two rows of gunports on each sides. The ensign of la Royale flying proudly in the wind. Its stern was richely ornated, reflecting the might and wealth of the Kingdom of Light. On the quarter, commandant la Gaufre kept an eye on his men, as they maneuver to the channel. Weighing anchor, the capstan is functional. Where's the helm? The helm is placed under the quarter deck, the roof is openable to access it. I placed it here because I used the Protecteur (a French third rater) as reference, it was tricky to find a right spot for the helm, since it's invisible from the exterior, I could assume that it's covered by the quarterdeck on the real ship. Two marines mounting guard in front of the quarterdeck, no one shall pass without authorisation. Fighting tops. Has he spotted an enemy ship? Vive le Roi!
  23. Ever since the discorvery of the New World, the colonies have been regarded as importants contributors to Oleon's royal treasurery. Alas, the view of tail ships full of exotic richess arriving from the other side of ocean became rare. The stakeholders of oversea's commerce couldn't refrain from asking the cause of this decrease in activity. Without obtaining a satisfactory, mainly because the colonial department preferred to play deaf and dumb for some obscure reasons. Consequently, the most enterprising of them put their money together to order a new Terraman from the Eltina Shipyards. Hoping to compensate their losses from more profitable shipping. They were indeed compensated, but from another way, they received a message from the admiralty informing them the requisition of their ship. From now on, all the shipyards shall work exclusively to satisfy military needs. Historically, it was a common practice to convert Terramen/Indiamen as troop transports or auxiliary warships. A class 8 with 6 hull parts. Six studs between gunports, no need to cram a lot of guns into a cargo ship, The figurehead. Stern. Cargo hold. Vive le Roi!
  24. Part 1 A few hours later, when the young man set foot on the way to the harbour. Unfortunately, he was stunned by the view of an empty dock, his ship has left without him. Or should we say nearly emptied, there was a dinghy moored at the dock, maybe he still got a chance to catch his ship. Another build to increase Oleon's shiplimit.
