Pirate Halloween Contest: Anouncement of Winners!
Brickmaster replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Pirates
Congratulation you guys, belated maybe because of the tie's, but the ranks were well earned, nice job, and nice mocs! -
Exo force had a sort of odd product release aswell, in 2005, only 2 human robots and 2 enemy mechs were released, then as they did well, they released the 100 dollar base in 2006. And as it stands, they show no sign of weakening up on the exo-line..

Thank you very much guys! I beleive I can make a rendering out of those, quite easily really. Thank you both, been a great help *wub*

I have done this somewhat, but with space cities, between unitrons and exploriens, and no train, but a large monorail complex. There were also landing bays for other lego space systems to land and trade cargo, it was quite a project, now, sadly, I cannot rebuild untill my lego space has been completely moved.

Well, there seems to be a lovely contest hype going around, and it's very hard to keep up - and to my prior knowledge, there is not a forum or collections of links soley dedicated to organizing current competitions and votings - you have to go under each category, one, by one. And some of us dont go under all sections and themes, so may be completely unaware of these contests! Being a contest lover myself ( *skull* ) I was wondering if we could sort out some sort of compilation of links or topics based soley on contests. (If there already is one ill look like a total idiot, but I've looked and found nothing!) But Its been very hard with me to keep up with it all.. And I dont want to miss a beat really :-$ So I was wondering if any kind of contest based area could be formed, rather than having to search through every theme forum and gandering at ths stickies? :-X Was just a thought of mine, anyhow *n*

Today I got let off early, and hung out with some buddies of mine, then one finally forced me to create a facebook, and after that talked with my brother whos home from college for the holiday *wub*

The person above me questions ones inate abilities of judgement to whether one doth be "surrounded"... Bottom and top 'tis barely surrounded I hath say! In a three dimensional world, atleast... Or fourth dimension.. But lets leave quantum physics out of this, shall we?

Correct me if im wrong, but I believe these are the same wheels on this set; http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=8466-1 Im a lego nerd with peices :-$ Overall, interesting set, but nothing in too much demand for me, looks ok though, but nothing to useful. As always, a good parts pack is nice (Especially new parts!)
-
I was wondering if anyone could hook me up with a print or picture of the lego octane logo - just the logo, probably white backround.. I was thinking it would make a good shirt. I have been researching.. yet I cant seem to find it anywhere :-| Could anyone hook me up? :-$

Oh wow, very nice find! I hope the other new set looks better, though.. Looks like a great parts pack in any case, but even though it does look ugly I can see it being fun to play with, and with some nifty parts and such. But nice luck and find on this one!

Got a wonderful bricklink order in today *wub*

I will work on that, or even better just plain red - at the time of building I only had the parts from the dino creator set, and the blue robot creator set, so selection was limited :( Thanks for all the comments guys, I really appreciate *wub*

The Disappointing State of Things
Brickmaster replied to Lt. Col. Thok's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For the most part, its also cheaper, and the models in the end seem 'larger' because theres so few large ugly useless <insert that tiresome argument> peices. Because of the cheapness, gift givers also seem to like it.. -

There are probably many local factors aswell, depending on how past performance of sales have done, maybe megablocks boom in your area, and lego not as much, so they switched abit, but as for here, lego is still going strong *y* -
Harbinger; Your pictures are not public yet inthe brickshelf gallery, and they are not deeplinked, I suggest you take a look at the deeplinking tutorial if you donnot know how to, sothen we can take a gander at your moc *y*

I can only post 3 pictures in your topic :-X

At this point it is not, I could probably add a cockpit but it would mess up the overall structure and make it look pretty fat overall, I ment it to be a humanless contraption.
-
The technique has actually been used by the lego company itself, take a gander! http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=6076-1 Bodily part rearanging aside - it is quite a nice vig, like the others, swell job ole chap!

Thou individual yonder above ye seems to have a peculiar attraction to LinkinPark, hath ye agree, indeed?

Heres my entry - One of my first mecha ever built, please be easy on me :-P (and the color scheme!) Here we see it stepping on a 3 year old semi I built, can get to see some of the mass jointwork, gunning and posability options. It is the most jointed mech of the few mechs ever built, fun to play with, heh. I quite like how this picture turned out. Little more posing.. Curious.... Ugh oh.. I do realize the colors may seem alittle odd - but hey. I'm alittle odd, so that all works out. Any comments or reccomendations welcome, on how to make it better, or just any ole critisizm if you must.. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/41624 Mocpages site.

Heres my entry - One of my first mecha ever built, please be easy on me :-P (and the color scheme!) Triumphantly stands on the 3 year old semi I've built.. can see some poseability and gunwork here. This is the most joints I have ever used on a mecha, I tried to model the frame having about the same moveability as a human joints, and I think I just about hit it :-$ Here is the fig the mech would be based on: Commander of the mercinary army (Even the visor matches the mechs eye color heh) Here is the entire gallary aswell: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=286210 Thanks for lookin

The Disappointing State of Things

All seems to be true, however what amazes me more is how megablocks are so popular with stores, Ive never seen more than a handfull of people with them, and, to my knowledge, there are no forums and sites utterly dedicated to megablocks, or such an online empire as lego has. However, I feel your grief, alot of stores around here are loosening up their lego stocks abit, for reasons unknown to me. (Lego has really been improving in my eye, compaired to the handful of brick city buildings and huge <insert that tiresome argument> peices afew years back) This will be especially hurtful as this xmas season is drawing near. -
Unitron, baby. I have two of every unitron set (Even monorail) I love the stuff! *wub* *wub* I just do. Heh. >:-)

At school all day (still am, posting in web design class :-D ) Something I ate made me gassy, bwaha. Then I need to go home, contact afew people about some sales, then build a mecha. (or finish building, for that matter) Unsure if I should have a dark brute mecha, or a light fast sniper..
