[TC26] Arctic support train
msk6003 replied to msk6003's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
When I build that locomotive, I think I can add distribution transmission using that motor and rotary catch. But cancled cause I can't think which function can add on locomotive. -
I always want and like to make which nobody will not to do. This contest is no exception, so I want something which is not snowmobile or some tracked vehicle. Therefore, when selecting candidates, I think screw tanks, icebreakers, and trains. Screw tank is not usual vehicle but I think someone will do it. So passed. Icebreaker is unusual in lego build but it is hard to make float on water. So passed. Remaining candidates is train. And it is unusual enough in technic theme. Main drive is finish. I need to make other function. All vehicle is 9 wide(currently 7 but need to add exterior) and work on normal lego track. Planned Combination of 4 vehicles: locomotive, power plant, crane, and passenger car Locomotive - Drive, Snowblower connected with drive, Snowblower lifting or something else, Maybe light Power plant car - Include battery. I think between C+ hub and spike/RI hub. Crane car - Manual outrigger, Crane lifting, turning, hook Passenger car - Manual door on both end, Something else or interior

I also trying make special set for cada. After short searching, seems like no one make this as technic RC model. Only I can found is speed champion moc and static brick-built mocs. Use - 2 buggy motor for drive, 1 servo for steering. I use old PF plug version of motor and battery but if use current C+ like plug, need one splitter. I also considering add light here but I don't know if the original vehicle used lights. Scale - looks like 1:10. Not 1:8. Color - White outside, Blue interior. Yes. Based on the information I knew and the AMG ONE parts list, I did not use parts that were not made by CADA. Chassis is done and driveable now I need to make bodywork. One problem is, does CADA make wheels with the same offset and size as TLG's land rover wheels?

RoLUG RTXP 2023, My Models
msk6003 replied to Alex Ilea's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes. Looks very fun! And in real RC drift vehicles, most use gyro and RWD. I considered using a C+ hub to program the gyro, but it seemed like it would be too much complicated. And in my experience, 4WD with tireless wheels performed the best as a Lego drift vehicle. I am attaching a video of my Mustang RTR drift modification. Use 1 BW 2.0, 1 servo, 1 buggy motor/BW motor for 1:1 gear ratio 4WD drive. Or if you have more room, you can use some 'trick'... -
After build 9x8, I started to search which model will be good alternative for this set. And I found Peugeot 205 T16's main color is dark gray which is same with source set. Those car is also got great achievement in WRC group B, so I think this is perfect for both brand(same peugeot), color(same DBG), symbolism(group B). I also found another model which also satisfied those 3 condition but it looks even harder than this so I don't know I will make it. Anyway Function 4WD with horizontal L4 engine Front wheel steering with HOG and working steering wheel Opening engine bay and both side door Glow-in-dark front headlight Suspension is removed due to width It's hard to make because this set don't have many flat panel.

About that I also feel depressed. I kept 100% of all the features of the original model also with engines and steering systems which is typical in modern technic sets into an almost 1:1 scale model. @howitzer Anyway are you have instruction of that hovercraft? It looks very awesome and make me want to built it. -
