  1. What a brilliant model. The "dumb" customer pays 450 EUR and there are bugs on release. Interesting what will be happen in 5 years when the app is full of other models and profiles and will reach up to 2GB. And the lack of B-model is a bod joke. Whats the problem to make another app profile, maybe for a cool tracked loader like 8043 B?. This is the first "flagship" in newer Technic history without alternative model and this decision makes me sick. The next TLG decision will be to save the instruction book and replace it with digital building only. "Hey, the fanboy customer needs anyway his phone or tablet to control this model, he also can build it on digital device - why we include a instruction book here". This model is far away from beeing a worth Technic flagship as Andromeda from Milkyway - and this model is far away from what Technic should be.
  2. A bit offtopic, but has anyone tested the new hub (42099 since August) with the regular Powered Up App? I'am interested in whether the hub connects yet or not. For me it is a buy decision 'cause I will ofcourse use the hub for Mocs with PU app
  3. Bucket in the back could be reused from 42055
  4. Infos from somebody who knows one that knows one. Don't know if all matches. Same Procedure as every year
  5. 42111 Entertainer: Something similar to Creator Fairground Mixer. A foldable thing to transport. Colorful. 42112 Air: Helicopter similar 9397 in functions, all operated manually. White and dark azure. Mudguards are used for housing the rear Rotor 42113 Truck: Something like Cherry Picker, matches 42098 wheels and scale. Classic gearbox to control 4 functions with one motor. Green cabin, white arm 42114: Yellow Backhoe all pneumatic. Xerion wheels in front and back with steering mode. Motor to drive pump and maybe other functions 42115 Ultimate: unknown license but wingdoors and red. Price, scale and piece count similar Bugatti
  6. I wonder where the C+ goes in 2020. Imagine a remote controlled car with tracks like 42095 or with simple drive/steering, there is for both cases just a need for two motors. I think not that we will see the 4-port-hub in every "remote" set, unless the set only needs two motors to control. The 1H lineup is more designed for younger customers, so I think we will a) see an new 2-port-hub in Technic for C+ or b) we get the 2-port-train hub in Technic. The upcoming 42109 "remote" set for kids makes more sense and is better playable with a physical remote, so it is very possible that we get remote-controlled Technic-sets with new train remote, but with only 2-port-hub and maybe the new motors connected to it. A simple car 42109 that only drives and makes fun like 42095 does not either need a smartphone nor a 4-port-hub.
  7. I think the 2020 2H flagship is a pneumatic set. For me it is a logical step after many Control+ stuff this year. In 2020 we will see not many construction equipment except the mobile crane in 1H, so I bet the 2H flagship is a backhoe-loader full of pneumatics with the new valves, powered with one Control+ motor and simple battery box.
  8. I guess the 42108 crane is bright light orange. After 42099 we will see this color more and more in Technic, especially for construction vehicles.
  9. You can not control this model with Prime. The only way to control and program the model without Control+ is to use the PoweredUp-App, but PU does not support 6 outputs. The app can only connect with 2-port-hub, move-hub and at release with the new 4-port-hub. To steer and program the model with Prime-hub it is necessary to use the Prime-App. If this supports programming and manual steering, ist seems possible
  10. it is not really bad, but it is not worth the money when it depends strict on the App. The oppurtunities are amazing considering what the servo motors can do - like counting its rotation or speed. But you are ducked off if the app is just shit or will not work.
  11. No B-Model for such a price is more than a shame. Imagine the case you buy this set for 450€ !!!! Euro and the app does not work on your mobile device. No app - no fun. Without app, this model is useless ... for 450 (!!!) Euro. I have the same problem with 75253 Boost Star Wars now. The app crashes in building process or at start, but my device is compatible. This is more than annoying and can happen with other app-controlled sets, even if the app runs properly before.
  12. In terms of design and system parts it looks like Milan Reindl
  13. 42096, 42099 and 42100 are the 3 biggest Technic sets in 2019 and ALL of these sets have no official B-model. Thats a shame for this price point. What the designers do the entire year? What are the official 2019 models by Reindl, Pederson and the french guy?
  14. Anyone noticed that this year is nearly free of gearbox selectors? The entire 2H lineup ist free of it an the only set is the 42094 this year to control the speed of winch ... Lol. The trend goes to "give every function a Motor" or "control every function by hand only". For those who loves gearboxes this Technic year is not good. IT is overall more an AFOL year
  15. For existing bright light orange it looks very dark compared to 60197 train for example. Maybe this is a new or rare color exklusive to this set. Think at brigth green of 42035. It is a shame that it is not regular orange. I would prefer to see the tapered panel in orange
  16. The color is bright light orange. I think we will see this color more and more in upcoming construction vehicles 'cause it fits better than regular yellow
  17. I think this set is a good playground for Powered UP builds. Just imagine that one motor controls the upper deck and a sensor in the lower structure detects when the car drives in. The sensor could see when something (the car) drives over an control the upper deck. Just an idee, but seems possible.
  18. I have checked the size and scale of 42078 close to 42098 and have seen that booth models should fit together very well. It is interesting to see that trucks are getting larger with those tires. For example the 2014 truck 42024 with the same tires is smaller with a 13 studs wide cabin. There is a trend for larger scaled trucks with trailers.
  19. In box design it looks like the successor to 41999 - looks more something special rather than a regular set. It is strange that the electronic parts are not spotted on the box
  20. Exactly. On port in the lower hub is spare. There is no wire-chaining of hubs due drilling through turntable. The chaining is done by the App
  21. No one said that it is exclusive by him, but it is showy...
  22. It is interesting to see how a designer uses his handsign over and over again. The panel as door is used in 9397 as well in 42070
  23. On an image with another angle the truck looks really colored. The trailer is very bulky and 19 studs wide in total. Lifting of each deck is done by gear rack. A new worm gear (introduced 2017) drives the rack like the 42061 telehandler does. This slides the beams holding the decks. The mechanism is the same for truck and trailer.
