Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
RedHoodPug replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Very easy to custom build a full team. All you would need would be seven sets and six extra heads. Off the top of my head I can remember Blackhawk himself, Andre, Henderson, and the difficult-to-portray-without-a-name-change Chop-Chop. Additionally I would be pleased to see Huntress. I work on the basis that if Imaginext makes a figure, Lego have no reason not to. I don’t like my collection being outdone by my sons -

@Digger of BricksI saw this, a most welcome addition, especially if he can capture the Golden Age charm. And it shows they are not rushing into things. If it’s played right it would be one you would like. -

Existential-based irony. If history ended years ago Rob would be unable to comment due to a crippling lack of existence.- 3,962 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
RedHoodPug replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lego isn’t cheap because of the size of the company, they actually have to design the sets for the licenses they bought, design the minifigs, the boxes, the marketing, everything. Customisers and bootleggers are taking a property they don’t own, a license they don’t own, the cheaply produced figures that are printed in the same style as Lego often come in solo sets with the same little build, in a box with a logo that suspiciously resembles Lego. The amount of work that Lego do that the knockoffs pilfer is staggering, which makes it all a vicious circle of rising costs.- 3,962 replies

Is there any idea as to when we might see these sets, either as leaks or officially?

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

I’m glad I’m not going nuts an Aquaman or Squad set would make far more sense than a crowbarred-in Flash set. Hey, a Mystery Men run would be outstanding! -

I’m guessing he turns up in the TV show, cos I’m not remembering their comics meeting. -

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
RedHoodPug replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Making Of book suggests that there was a big free build for ideas, and that TLG, the studio, and the animation team spitballed ideas back and forth. When you see how many concepts each character went through, it certainly looks like they had a committee approach to set/vehicle design. With the CGI only vehicles there is a possibility that they were built physically prior to final rendering. Some individuals are named, however. -

Not so much a lack of appreciation, more an inexplicable desire to not have minifigs representing young teens in close fitting underwear I do however have an appreciation for the obscure ones. One from the archive -

When you say try to sell us three Killer Moths... I’ll rephrase that, I don’t want an Aqualad with either Speedos, a mullet, or both. Marketing be damned. This is when it all goes out of the window and they present us with Mer-Boy. -

I don’t get it I dig the Tempest look, really, but I’m not sure the Silver Age or Mullet Age looks are quite so marketable. I’m down for Kaldur, as well. -

My bad, I was looking right at them front and centre the whole time. Even so, it’s impressive to see it laid out like that. -

@deemen I can’t see Lightning Lad and Superboy, but I can see one hell of a set up. Good work! Are the Comic Con figs the real deal? -

I’m sure the initial hint indicated red, which gives me hope for Batwoman. She was in the Night of the Owls storyline. Alright she’s gone done bad recently, but she would be more than welcome on the Batshelf. -

Yes it is bigger. The details are around here somewhere, but also with mention of a fig. Seems that info may have changed. -
I’d like a Starman, but that’s because I’m all about the Golden Age. But yes, that helmet is proving itself to have potential as a start point. Much like the rest of the All-Star Squadron guys, good old Ted wouldn’t need much in the way of special moulding.

The Incredibles 2 2018: Rumors and Discussion
RedHoodPug replied to Falconfan1414's topic in LEGO Licensed
Unless there is a scene where she interacts with any of the villains, then it would be a case of crowbarring her into a set. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up being a polybag. -
Have you been lobbying for so long now that they are going to finally break out a Firefly just for you? The text under the pic suggests a Rebirth Supes as well as Cruz and Luthor.

Can’t have Cruz without Baz! Sacrilege! Looks good though. -
I think one of the SW trooper helmets has the right sweep, darned if I know which one. Somehow the classic air tanks wouldn’t do it. I’m sure there’s enough suitable parts to MOC one, depending on the particular look you would be going for.
