Fingers crossed that’s a placeholder hairpiece for Mera, as a crowned head would be spot on. Aquaman’s suit is good enough a match to put with comic style head/hair. Assuming it’s only the one set, as@Duncan Young says, potentially one of the best of the year.

Without trying to perpetuate the off-topic leak argument; whatever your views on it, consider that without them these threads would be full of diddly squat, speculation, or nothing until the sets came out. All the time there are leaks, we are talking about impending sets. It is keeping us interested and it gives Lego a regular unofficial litmus test. There is a certain amount of control involved - they don’t want everything leaked, but no leaks dulls the excitement. Can we please get back on track before a grown up comes in and prods buttock?

You may be torn on that Talon set, what with the Batsuit being awesome and everything. To be honest I buy them to build a collection, and not buying a figure because of how it looks kind of defeats the object, at least for me.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
RedHoodPug replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I’m still surprised that what may be my favourite batsuit after the desert armour is coming in a small, regular set featuring Talons. Ace’s depiction kind of makes it a bit cheesy, though. Still, I’ll be happy when it’s out. -

Yes the battle damaged look is a really nice touch. I was wary of the leg printing, what with it being there and everything. -
That’s the one. Fair enough. I definitely wouldn’t have recognised him if he’s SW!

There’s a Batfig on instagram that kind of looks too good to be true. He looks like the one from the Talons set. If he is right then he’s got some nice details to him. If not, I’ll keep quiet. -
I’m guessing that it’s Grindewald I see on instagram, looking a tad more Depp like.

I would stick with the original because of the ears, they will look really out of place on a different coloured head.

I can tell you without a photo that the two BBs use different greens. Like obviously different.

I disagree. The lack of leg print is almost a given these days, especially in a cheaper set. There are loads of Talons with individual looks; they have been around for nearly 400 years, so a separate cowl piece seems unlikely. As a generic Talon mask it is spot on. If you are desperate for leg printing, Cole from Ninjago has had like fifty costume changes, and most of them are suitable. He won’t miss one pair of legs. That figure leaves scope for personalising your Talons with hoods, short capes, weapons, etc. Love it.

Dang it, I nearly forgot about that. Three exclusive figures in quick succession. Seems a shame that the Flash movie didn’t get one, really. Lego rarely needs an excuse to take my money, and they lost an opportunity there. Or at least they would have done if I hadn’t bought it anyway.

Luthor seems likely as it’s much like the Wonder Woman figure from the last book, in that it’s a non-traditional suit. I can’t see him rocking up in a set wearing SuperLex.

That’s what I meant. If they find that people are only buying the movie for the figure, then they know where the money is. Which is going to sell better in the aftermarket? The cost of producing a cgi movie vs one minifigure should be a fairly easy comparison. Lego and WB will be looking at the sales difference and making notes.

I wonder if the decision to not include a figure with the Flash movie was a conscious decision to test the water regarding what people buy it for; the movie or the figure. Because I would be surprised if The Flash sold well.

The correct torso (ie Ron with check shirt) with the same head has only just now appeared on Instagram.

Lego BrickHeadz 2018 - Rumors & Discussion
RedHoodPug replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I would rather have a regular set, but what are you gonna do? My son will be happy, anyway. -
That’s quite a leap for an Ideas set, let alone a regular licensed set. The cost of four new theme-specific parts would drive the price up or push the piece count down. They didn’t even do that for Mr Incredible, despite the game showing a new torso.

I don’t know, the trike we haven’t seen before; and the Batwing is a nice play on the idea that some of his vehicles transform, given its similarity to the Batski from the Freeze/Aquaman set, and it’s nowhere near as lazy as the 2nd gen Batwing. On a side note TLG have been churning out massive sets as of late and have felt the repercussions of that as the world faces austere times. It’s nice to get a couple of cheap sets with a decent figure range. Figure design is arguably the most important aspect of licensed sets, and you have two new moulds and four new characters over two small licensed sets, as well as the new Batsessory pack. If they sacrifice leg printing or dual moulding for character variation, and top level builds for playability, I say carry on.They will never please all of their fans all of the time, but they can’t be accused of not trying with this and the previous wave. Sorry, doing it again.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
RedHoodPug replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
The rather heavy implication is that Grundy is in the app controlled Batmobile. Is it the same with Copperhead, or is there another set coming out of left field? If this is the case it seems odd given early reports were that the Batmobile won’t be minifig scale. I’m cool with waiting if I’m getting ahead of myself, but I keep seeing these breadcrumbs. Ta. -
Batwoman is a different person to Batgirl. Lego has a working relationship with DC, so it would be remiss of both parties not to utilise that. The blue figure is an OMAC, a group of cyborgs that spread a virus turning people into more OMACs. The Brother Eye is the satellite that controls them, originally a Batman creation.

The word was surprises although frankly at this stage if there is a non Bat-fig, or even a new one on top of that, it’s gravy. The massive hint we already have is Gold.

I don’t care that these sets are Bat-centric, they are awesome, and Batwoman! I had a feeling it would be her rather than Beyond. And new elements as well as the lineup. Happy days
