  1. I love generic Spider-Man sets with Venomized versions of classic villains. Seriosuly tho, couldn't care less. They're fine for kids, but they should've made the villains fully Venomized. This halfway-through thing does not look good.
  2. He's included in Egalt the Master Dragon and the Shadow Dojo. He won't have a mech in any of those sets.
  3. We are not. Remember, those were preliminary concepts of those sets. Some of them might never get made. The ones coming in the near future are the Sorting Hat (March 2024) and Gotham Skyline (April 2024). Will the rest get made? Some of them are already rumoured for next year. Saying all that, X-Mansion is extremely likely.
  4. Cool, but we as consumers shouldn't be okay with everything just because we know the budget is tighter. I don't care about any of that. I want a good set. If I don't like a part of a set, I will complain about it. Simple as that.
  5. I did not expect Magneto to use that suit, but I love it. Venomized Spider-Man villains were made with barely any effort or creativity. Guys how do we tackle Venomized Doc Ock? Give him cool new arms? A fresh new suit? Nah, just have half his torso and face printed with a copy-paste Venom design.
  6. It's always funny when LEGO decides not to reveal a wave of sets, and they almost immediately start leaking from multiple sources.
  7. They easily could've. Instead of Integrated Suit Spider-Man we could've gotten his Upgraded or Black & Gold ones. Electro could've been in his pure energy form. And if not, it would've been a good opportunity for Green Goblin with his mask. Would it make sense in context of the scene? No. But it would've been a much better choice if they were going to sell it as an expansion to a 100€ set.
  8. Honestly, mixed feelings on this set – particularly because it's not a great expansion, nor a great standalone set. The build is really good. Sandman looks awesome — the annoying thing is that there's only half of him. This makes it a pretty lacklustre standalone set. Can't imagine it being popular with kids. As an expansion it has another problem — the builds look amazing when combined, but two out of three minifigures are useless. As for Lizard... *sigh*. The prints are good, but the tail ruins the whole front. They shouldn't have printed the waist if they were gonna leave a huge unprinted strap above it. Demogorgon legs would have made it so much better too.
  9. I love the mech, it's extremely unique. It absolutely doesn't look worth 70€ tho. He doesn't, he's not even included in this set.
  10. It actually looks really substantial, considering the fact it has less than 300 pieces. Saying that, I'm not a big fan of the build.
  11. Looks much better on the box art. The difference of colour between the hood and the armour is unnecessary. I hope not all Ninja suits will look like this.
  12. I actually find it quite impressive that LEGO has gotten that good at preventing leaks. We barely get low-quality leaks anymore.
  13. The only thing I want to see from this wave is Lizard. Genuinely don't care about anything else tbh.
  14. You're right, it actually got mentioned both times in 2019. Not in the top 5 tho. They added a line saying that the theme "performed strongly". https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news/2019/september/lego-interim-results-2019 https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news/2020/march/annual-results
  15. Not even in 2021. It has never been mentioned. https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news/2022/march/2021-annual-results
  16. Some people don't like customising their sets, and I'd prefer if they were consistent with the design choices. I really hope that we get a new setting for the Summer wave – stretching a single season to three waves across a whole year would be an overkill. We got a single wave for the first season — because there's no need for more. Don't know what your source is, but I seriously doubt it. They released the first season (20 22-minute epsiodes) in a four-month span. How would they stretch that to a whole year? Getting half a season every six months?
  17. Plese tell me you're not being serious. If I'm correct, Marvel (or Super Heroes in general) hasn't even been mentioned once in a LEGO annual report. Themes like Friends and Ninjago (but especially Friends) are among the top selling themes in general. Just because LEGO Marvel is based on one of the most popular IPs doesn't mean its popularity is reflected in sales. Themes like Star Wars and Harry Potter constantly outsell Marvel. It's visibly reflected in the budget — notice how many new prints and moulds all of the other four themes I mentioned get, while Marvel can barely afford leg printing?
  18. Most likely March. That's what I can't figure out. If they switched to Climber variants in the March wave, we'd never get variants of Kai, Cole, and Jay with shoulder pads. But if they don't, we won't get some Ninjas' Climber suits. There's also the option of saving those for a June wave, but I fully expect a new setting with new suits and new villains. That's what always happens — two separate waves a year based on different seasons. Unless they are changing things up with Dragons Rising, and we're only getting one setting per year. No evidence to support that tho. Master Lloyd will also appear in the Dragonstone Temple.
  19. The biggest problem with this wave imo are the suits. They are ridiculously inconsistent. The worst part is how Arin and Sora are totally separate from the other Ninja. Whereas in the first Season they looked good next to each other and made sense since the series was just beginning, now it feels much worse. What's just as bad are the suits themselves. Sora is repeated from the previous wave. Wait, what? That's ridiculous. She does get a new variant with hair, but it's inaccurate (really? they couldn't have made a new mould?), which makes it even worse. Same goes for Arin, but even worse. They don't fully reuse the previous suit, but rather slap a gold mask on it, which looks awful. As for the original, the suits are mostly consistent. No shoulder pads when they have a mech, which is understandable, although the suits look much worse without them. The legs are inconsistent tho — Zane and Cole have them coloured the same as their torsos, making their suits much cleaner in effect (while some, like Nya's light blue and dark grey look messy). The fact that Lloyd and Kai have new, exclusive suits makes it even weirder. I suppose the March wave will add even more weird suits (Arin will probably get another suit that's a messy mash-up). TL;DR: Sora and Arin are annoyingly inconsistent with the other Ninja, and the fact that they reuse parts of their suits from the previous wave is ridiculous.
  20. The January wave is kind of a mixed bag in terms of everything. There's too little variety — three gimmicks, six mechs, and two dragons. Dragon Strike gimmicks are really weird. Don't really know how I feel about those. The 4+ sets are pretty good. Arin's mech isn't noteworthy, but the Kai set is great. The dragon looks awesome (for a 4+ set), and it has some unique minifigures. All the mechs are pretty cool, but I feel like there's too many. They are all well-built, but they aren't particularly interesting. The Lloyd and Kai one have good minifigures tho. The battle pack is great. Four minifigures for 10€ is a win, and a really cheap way to get Master Lloyd. The mech isn't good — way too bulky around the chest. Egalt the Master Dragon is clearly the standout of this wave. The build is fantastic and extremely unique. Love how they gave him a hat, a moustache, and a sword. The minifigure selection is good enough, but it's really weird how they put the same three minifigures in a cheaper set (Lloyd's mech).
  21. It's extremely weird that Rocket is so well-built, but his face is absolutely horrifying. Those teeth are the stuff of nightmares.
  22. Most of the sets are great, and as a whole his wave is pretty awesome, but am I the only one who's getting burnt out by this theme? Yeah, the sets are nice, but none of them are exciting or must-buys imo. Hedwig set is okay. I don't like how big the owl is compared to the sign. Ford Anglia is a good small set, I appreciate it. Nothing interesting for people who already have one or two of those tho. Forbidden Forest sucks. The price is awful, minifigures are redundant, the creatures aren't exciting, and the build is lacking. The colour scheme is the only good thing about it. The owlery is surprisingly awesome. The build is great, and the minifigures feel fresh. Weird that they brought back grey roofs tho. I don't feel they are much into the modular expansions anymore. The boat house is another great set. The build looks unique, and it has a lot of minifigures, even if they aren't particularly novel. Hagrid's Hut is clearly the standout of this wave. Fantastic build, nice variants of minifigures (Hagrid's outfit is lovely), with awesome animal moulds (especially Norbert).
  23. Spider-Man's mask isn't as bad as it could've been, but it still looks rather lacking and rough. The 4+ sets are really good tho. Don't care about them at all, but they are nicely done.
  24. Can't wait to see this wave. Most of the smaller mechs and cars don't seem particularly interesting, but this wave will have some of the best Ninjago sets ever.
  25. Really hope that the Tangled set includes minifigures. I adore that movie, and would love to get a set based on it.
