  1. Lukewarm? Even his biggest fans know this ain't it. The whole director's cut bit is ridiculous here. It made sense for Justice League, but here it feels like nothing but a corporate ploy to get people invested.
  2. It's even funnier that for some reason he decided to give new titles to both of those movies. I have no idea what's going through his head.
  3. Mr. Turtle being interested in the Superman movie, do wonders never cease!
  4. I can't be sure, but I think he's referring to Man.
  5. A tier list would only work if we were to rank all the DC sets, and no no one's doing that. All the sets and minifigures I've chosen are S-tier to me, so I'm not sure how you'd benefit from a list like this.
  6. Yeah, I think that ship has already sailed unfortunately.
  7. All right, here you go Mr. Turtle (now with minifigures). MINIFIGS (HEROES): 1. @THELEGOBATMAN 2. Commissioner Gordon (TLBM, CMF) 3. Cyborg (CMF) 4. Batman (1966) 5. Alfred Pennyworth (TLBM) 6. Commissioner Gordon (The Batman) 7. Stargirl 8. Flash (dual-moulded legs) 9. Batman (Lobster Lovin') 10. Robin (TLBM) MINIFIGS (VILLAINS): 1. Killer Croc (TLBM) 2. Bane (TLBM) 3. Riddler (TLBM) 4. Poison Ivy (TLBM) 5. Lex Luthor (suit) 6. Joker (TLBM, vest) 7. Two-Face (TLBM) 8. Captain Boomerang (TLBM) 9. Harley Quinn (TLBM, dress) 10. Hugo Strange SETS: 1. The Riddler Riddle Racer 2. Scarecrow Harvest of Fear 3. Egghead Mech Food Fight 4. The Joker Notorious Lowrider 5. The Scuttler 6. The Animated Series Gotham City 7. The Justice League Anniversary Party 8. The Joker Manor 9. Catwoman Catcyle Chase 10. Gorilla Grood Goes Bananas
  8. Well, the chances of LEGO making an original theme based on Eastern European folklore with creatures vaguely similar to the ones from The Witcher are... well, not too great. But still, people don't want just any creature that looks like Leshy — they want the Leshy. Otherwise, it won't be different from any other non-licensed LEGO set. A lot of sets based on mature video games have potential to be fantastic, and it's sad we'll never get them, because most video games have M / 18 ratings. But still, gotta respect LEGO for sticking to their values. Never heard of it, but it does look like something LEGO could make a set based on tbh. Not sure how many people would be interested in it tho.
  9. Uncharted is the one obvious contender here. Saying that, I don't think LEGO would suddenly make sets for a franchise that has ended, with no future in sight, over a decade ago tho. I can't really think of many other video games or franchises that would be beneficial to make sets from LEGO's PoV tho. Horizon and Legend of Zelda have a single set. Fortnite might have some sets coming iirc? Star Wars: Jedi has a BD-1 set and Cal as a minifigure (but that falls more under Star Wars than video games). What else really is there tho? Hogwarts Legacy is a recent T-rated game that LEGO could make sets based on, but it has a custom character which makes it much harder (not to mention that it would fall under the Harry Potter theme, in which case LEGO would just prefer to make a regular Hogwarts expansion with Harry, Hermione etc.). Same thing goes for Marvel's Spider-Man.
  10. Horizon. Not an Arkham Knight set. A single minifigure in it is vaguely inspired by the suit from that game. They've never marketed it as such, nor should they have.
  11. Never gonna happen. I mean, on one hand The Witcher is bloody, has sex and violence, and definitely has a lot of mature themes... but on the other hand, wouldn't it be cool to get a Geralt minifigure with a buildable Leshy? I feel like some franchises can be too dark for LEGO, but a lot of them have potential for some really cool sets — The Witcher, God of War, Baldur's Gate. It's not like the LEGO sets would include blood and naked minifigures. Then again, LEGO will never touch anything an R, TV-MA or PEGI 18 rating — and I respect that.
  12. 1. Batman 1989 2. The Animated Series 3. Bronze Age 4. Batman 1966 5. The Batman 6. The Dark Knight 7. @THELEGOBATMAN :( 8. Batman v Superman
  13. Honestly, it's a fantastic deal. The fact that it's only 20€ with over 320 pieces and 8 possibilities to build it is great. Keaton looks best here imo, followed by BTAS, classic blue and West (don't dig the studs on the belt here). Bale also looks great (I just dislike the suit), TLBM looks too bulky, Pattinson looks sad (genuinely curious how they justified it in the creative process), and Affleck has a completely different suit than all the other ones for... reasons (weird decision, no idea why they didn't just include his regular suit).
  14. The Turtle hath awoken from hys slumber. ...and he's addicted to LEGO DC?
  15. @legoturtle has been completely missing from the last page of discussion. Guys, we need to send out a search party. Gather your flashlights and raincoats people.
  16. That reads as unnecessarily rude and inconsiderate. There's no need to name-call others. This thread has, out of nowhere, turned from the most boring and desolate one to nearly everyone's favourite place on this forum. We all (or nearly all) enjoy discussing things here — whether it's LEGO Batman, the future of LEGO DC, Aslume, DC as a whole, or even random nonsense. We're having a lot of fun here, and I have no idea how it makes your childhood trauma resurface, but have you considered... not participating in this discussion if you find it not to your liking? No offence, but trying to shut down the discussion (or whatever you wanna call it at this point) for everyone here because you find it unfunny and off-topic is pretty egotistical and self-centred. You may find the "boring gag" overdone, but everyone else seems to thoroughly enjoy it. If we have actual LEGO DC things to discuss we do, but, well... there's not much to discuss.
  17. There's no reason they wouldn't make at least a single Superman set next year, right? Right guys? Oh my god... There's no Batman in James Gunn's Superman... Fell to my knees.
  18. Imo he was the most enjoyable part of the otherwise mediocre movie. While he's a... problematic presence, I loved him as Barry.
  19. I really hope they keep Horizon sets in the more affordable range. Thet could've made a 300€ Tallneck, which would look just as amazing, but I love that they contained it to an 80€ display set. I'm not opposed to a huge D2C set, but only if they also make more affordable 20–100€ machine sets.
  20. LEGO Horizon Adventures has been officially announced, launching later this year. https://blog.playstation.com/2024/06/07/lego-horizon-adventures-launches-holiday-2024/ Seeing all those brickbuilt machines makes me hopeful we'll be getting more sets. Thunderjaw was really prominent here, so if we're getting at least a single set, that one is almost guaranteed.
  21. You know what... can't argue with that. Keep that attitude king. 👑
  22. This thread has turned into Turtle v Superman: Dawn of Character Depth. If you think there's no drama to Superman's character, then clearly you haven't read or watched a single well-written comicbook or movie with him. Do I prefer Batman? Yes, mostly because I have been exposed to much more content with him. (I feel like I've been turning into a Superman guy recently tho.) Saying that, Superman is the coolest superhero ever. Just because he's indestructible and has various superpowers doesn't mean he's a bland character, nor does he lack depth — only if someone writes him so. His physical superiority only elevates the stories — my favourite example is Pa Kent's death (something Snyder butchered beyond my comprehension). Even with all his superpowers, Superman couldn't save his father from a simple heart attack. Things like that make the character so much more interesting — the stories aren't focused on physical struggles, but the mental ones.
  23. That's a Zack Snyder movie, of course it has a sad atmosphere. I was talking about Superman movies that are actually good, or at the very least try to act like a Superman movie.
