Curious about that myself. He got temporarily suspended—which, from experience, usually ends with a talk with a moderator. What did he say to them that he got banned? That's the fun part. One that we'll probably never hear in full detail. (Unless, @Clone OPatra—perhaps you know what has happened behind the veil?)

Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Yeah, that's an incredible looking set. Glad they are focusing on chaotic and pleasant family vibes instead of "Oh no, it's Bellatrix; and she's burning the house!" Weird that the only picture from the movies' is a HBP shot with Harry and Ron tho, since both of them as minifigures are based on CoS... -

@legoturtle is GONE?! A new age has dawned upon us. The fight for the leadership of the Aslume has begun. The inmates will fight viciously—but only one of them can become the warden. But I appeal to you, my fellow inmates—it's time to abandon the rule of one. We should run the Aslume like brothers, not enemies. Democracy must become the new norm, or we shall all perish under the rule of those who would enslave us.

Oh boy, do I have news for you. May I introduce you to the Hulk Monster Truck, coming this Winter for a sweet price of 35€? -
It's quite ridiculous that we still haven't got a Dragons Rising Nya in a magazine. Why do they hate including her so much in them? I hope we at least get her Tournament suit.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Really hope it's the former. Brickbuilt minifigures have an actual charm—I don't think it'd work well for Surtur, but Ant-Man is a perfect example of case where it should be used. -

Modular Joker head. Like, literally an enormous buildable Joker head. You can open his mouth to reveal an entrance (to where? no idea). All on a modular plate of course. Minifigures include Batman (repeat from the 2024 wave) and five different Jokers (minor differences, two of them are repeats). -

That would require LEGO actually caring about anything other from DC than Batman and Joker. Granted, this all could change if Gunn's Superman is really successful, giving the DCU a much needed headstart, but I don't think we'll see any kind of DC modular soon (and by soon I mean in the next two years). -

If by "smaller price" you mean 55€, then yeah. Includes four minifigures and a buildable Igor that you can fit a minifig inside of. -
I wasn't making any kind of statement about them—I don't know him or his opinions well enough to even think about forming those kind of accusations. It was just a general thought, that what might be just a general opinion, some might perceive as bias because of how said thought had been phrased. The discussion has been civil, and I am genuinely curious in finding out why someone would care so much about the race of a fictional character, to whom that race is completely irrelevant. It's an interesting line of discussion, seeing as both of us have clearly opposing opinions; but not because of hatred or bias, just general views. Because it's the greatest thread to have ever existed on Eurobricks. Are you not entertained? Yeah, you're right. Sorry if most of my replies seem targeted directly towards you—they're not. I'm just quoting parts of your replies to discuss general issues that I find particularly interesting on a larger scale.

Reminded me of this gem: Just absolutely ridiculous. Favourite inclusion is LEGO Batgirl, for some reason. The funniest part is that most of those characters either have red hair in both interpretations, or never even had it to begin with. In topics like these, there's a very thin line between an opinion and visible bias. Don't act like the same group of people wouldn't just whine about introducing original characters in a Batman series. Bonus outrage if they're black, a woman, or non-hetero. I can already imagine the Tweets. "All I've wanted was a proper Batman show, but no, they have to introduce some new characters no one cares about." The thing is, it doesn't matter what they do. The same crowd will always complain about diversity, no matter how you hand it to them.

I've recently argued with some fool on Twitter whose argument was that "review bombing is justified when you think the project is going to be bad" and "that other Acolyte project was just fallout damage". Like, I genuinely have no idea how anyone can take things like RT audience scores seriously. Like sure, I don't think we should heavily rely on critics' opinions, but at least they aren't illiterate, "anti-woke" review bombers. Uh... um... disappears
-
Notice how I didn't even say anything about the series itself? I like Caped Crusader. I don't think it's great or anything—definitely worse than, say, My Adventures with Superman—but still really good. I was rather talking about audience vs critics ratings, writers for comicbook projects, believability in fictional stories etc. I can absolutely understand someone not liking the series—it definitely has its flaws, which might be much more impactful for some than they are for me. What I can't understand is people trying to justify their ridiculous "forced diversity" takes, or gatekeeping who should be allowed to create those projects.
-
You mean the believability of a fictional city inspired by 1940s and noir cinema, with a guy dressed like a bat chasing literal ghosts and murderers? Yeah, certainly. If your complaint about the believability is a kiss between two women—which I believe you might be alluding to by "didn't happen" and "weren't as open"—then uh... I don't know what to tell you. If not, ignore this paragraph. I don't know, I think the only thing Deadpool & Wolverine proves is that nostalgia sells, but that might be just me.
-
What do you mean by "these days"? Audience score is absolutely worthless—at least on Rotten Tomatoes. You're either a "9/10 incredible movie", or a "5/10 boring slop". Just look at Deadpool & Wolverine—9.4/10? Seriously? Even people who have seen the movie know that it absolutely does not deserve a rating like that. It happens because people on websites like this one, or IMDb, operate in extremes—you're either a 10/10, or a 1/10. Not to mention review bombing, which happens more and more often. I believe the only reliable rating aggregator is Letterboxd, which isn't prone to review bombing or recency bias. That's quite possibly the most close-minded take I've ever seen. You realise that most directors, writers and actors aren't actually passionate nerds who have been following the source material since their childhoods, right? My favourite example is Tony Gilroy—he isn't a fan of Star Wars. Yet he still wrote and was the showrunner of the best Star Wars project, that doesn't rely on nostalgia or previous knowledge of things.

That sounds like an absolutely awful idea, and I cannot express that enough. Making a trilogy of Avengers movies with no build-up whatsoever sounds ridiculous (not that it's much better than two, but whatever). Releasing a new huge-event level Avengers movie every year for three years is gonna tire the audience like nothing else ever has, increasing the Marvel fatigue to enormous levels. Not to mention the VFX crew is gonna be overworked like never before—those people will not see their families for three years straight, and they are gonna work until seconds before each movie releases. Or you know, maybe they should just do it. Seems like a perfect spot for DC to come in with actual variety and creativity to take the comicbook movie studio crown. -

No idea where this weird rumour comes from. Secret Wars is already a second part to Doomsday, just like Endgame was to Infinity War. Why else do you think they'd release them a year apart from each other? -

I genuinely have no idea. Was wondering about that myself. Mind you, that's Blade's third release date, and they're gonna keep pushing it back as long as they want to. This movie is an absolute disaster, and it's hilarious that for some reason they can't get the simplest concept ever—superhero vampire hunter—to work. How many directors and writers have already left this project? At least seven I think? I'm fairly sure they have no director attached at this point, because we would've heard something by now (the last one left two months ago). -

Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Scarlet Witch, and either Nick Fury or Bruce Banner.
