1. I’ve thought about this as well, but the A-Wing isn’t that much simpler (if at all) than the Snowspeeder, which was made twice. I think the problem is that A-Wings used to be obscure, but now they’ve featured prominently in Rebels and the Sequel Trilogy. 3. True, but LEGO isnt getting the money from the Ewok Village anymore; resellers are. I agree it would be a waste of a D2C set, though. 5. Can’t argue with you there. Even though the current schedule says we’re due for a giant play set next year, I think they might reconsider. I think Yavin IV or a Jedi Temple would be more appealing than a Cantina, simply because they are architecturally more interesting, and I doubt a new Cantina would deliver on the massive variety of new minifigure alien molds that most people would like to see.

3720 to 1? ? In all seriousness, there’s no way to know until the rumors start coming around (and I just want to say that all the UCS rumors from the past three years have been accurate). I don’t think the UCS TIE Fighter sold that well, but I have no data to back it up. My guess would be that it will be rereleased at some point, but not until 2021 at the earliest. My dream scenario for UCS (complete with realistically extortionate pricing) would be: May 2020: A-Wing $200 September 2020: Yavin Base $300 May 2021: [Starfighter of some kind] $200 September 2021: Imperial Shuttle $400 And it’s too exhausting to think beyond 2021.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
RogueTwo replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
IGiven that Betrayal at Cloud City does not seem to be selling great (Amazon has it on sale again) I have to assume that Jabba's Palace (which isn't a very kid-friendly place, anyway) would not be made into a giant playset. I do think those $20-30 mini-location sets seem to be selling really well. I think you're right that Han in Carbonite would make an ideal focus, but they might have to push up to price point a bit to include, you know, Jabba, himself. Side-note: Your comment just gave me some hope that we'll see some more really good Rogue One sets. I know they can't be too popular among little kids, but it still makes me slightly sad that since 2016, we've only gotten two sets (Darth Vader's Castle and the Tantive IV) with Rogue One elements, and neither was really Rogue One-based. The Castle was a tie-in to Vader Immortal, and the Tantive IV could have been A New Hope-based, were it not for the telltale Bail Organa minifigure. I have a question: In light of the supposed retirement dates that were posted on Rebelscum, does anyone think the Tantive IV, which is supposedly on its way out at the end of 2020, might get a slight sale this Brick Friday/Cyber Monday? I've been wanting to buy it for a long time, but it seems silly not to wait until November if I can. -
Prints don’t get reused, for whatever reason. At least not that I’ve seen. Why, I have no idea.

In the United States, new sets always go on sale midnight Eastern Time, barring any glitches. Based on what Guyon2002 said, I guess it varies by territory. I think the Advent Calendar may temporarily go on backorder at some point this fall, but no way it sells out permanently. Demand for HP (and all themes, it seems) is now being much better estimated, and I’m extremely happy about that.
-
Still hope, then, maybe! Thanks! Although I’ve already gone on record that I prefer retail sets to promotional items or blind bags. That said, any more LEGO HP is good with me!
-
Does anyone remember when the Bricktober minifigures were leaked/revealed last year? I know it’s unlikely that we’ll get another pack, but it’s still possible!
-
I honestly thought this was a confirmation at first, and my heart skipped a beat!! I have little doubt that it will be HP, but unlike the Star Destroyer, which has been rumored for a year, there is, as of yet, no inside info on the CMF has leaked that I’m aware of.

We need to stop talking about this here. Neither of us was there when the abuse happened, so we can’t know for sure. Political issues can and should be discussed and civilly debated, but come on, not in the LEGO forum! If the Depp comments belong anywhere, it’s with any other extensive discussion of source material: the Culture and Multimedia forum. Side note: I bought the Rise of Voldemort and it’s AMAZING. I take back my earlier disparaging comments. The build is not the most revolutionary thing ever, but it’s a bargain for the minifigures alone. Only downside is Peter Pettigrew’s hair, which is the wrong color and the wrong mold. I replaced it with dark tan tousled Luke Skywalker hair, and it looks way better, even with the dark red eyebrows. I REALLY want the Beauxbatons Carriage, but I’m going to wait a few months and see if it drops closer to $35 USD

Is there any way of telling whether the HP sets for next year are winter/spring or summer? Part of me would like to see two waves of sets, but another part thinks that one very high quality wave plus a D2C would be lovely. I really don’t want this theme to turn into Star Wars, with fifty sets a year Maybe I’m just being selfish, but I can’t afford that Either way, I’m sure we’re getting an advent calendar next year, unless this one totally bombs, which it won’t. And given the surprise addition of the Rise of Voldemort and the Beauxbatons Carriage, I’m pretty sure we’ll get more than four sets total next year, regardless of when they are release.
-
We’ll have to agree to disagree, but thanks for the heads up. Personally, I don’t really care whether the next CMF comes out in 2020 or 2021, as long as we get really good sets next year, which I’m sure we will! And re: DC Collectible Minifigures, I’m not surprised at all; I firmly believe we’ll get Marvel and Star Wars by 2025. It’s up to the franchises/studios, not the action figure companies, and LEGO keeps getting bigger and bigger as a brand.

It matters to you! Good find! Yes, it’s a Hogwarts letter for sure, printed on a 2x3 tile. There are hi-res pictures out there.
-
Thanks for letting me know right away!! Definitely Prisoner of Azkaban, IMO. Ron’s hair matches perfectly, not to mention the fact that he has the balding Scabbers and Hermione has that terrible Crookshanks figure. By the way, has anyone else thought that if this theme were really accurate to the movies, Harry’s minifigure would have Daniel Radcliffe’s dark brown hair? I’m glad he doesn’t, though; the jet-black hair is too iconic!

Does this include LEGOLAND Discovery Centers?
-
Sorry if I missed something, but: Is this the wishlist thread now that the 2020 thread has been closed? I hope the next CMF series really covers the rest of the important PS and CoS characters, maybe delving into PoA if there’s room. I doubt this will happen, but you never know, given that the Advent Calendar and the Build Your Own is Adventure book were totally PS-inspired.
-
No worries! You edited it pretty clearly. And next year or later, LEGO would have to be mad not to release another CMF (even though I personally would just prefer extra sets; I’ve never been a fan of the blind bag)
-
If you mean the book, there’s a picture of it on You-Know-Where. I think it’s for 2020, though. EDIT: Where I live, we mostly call them yearbooks. When I think of annuals, I think of flowers! Well, I learn something new every day

Will the Carriage and the Graveyard be LEGO exclusives, or will they be available everywhere on August 1 (for example, Target, Amazon, etc in the US)? Does anyone know? Thanks! btw, I called my local LEGO Store yesterday, and they claimed they didn’t even know the sets existed. The LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago estimated late July or early August, so I have a feeling they might put them out early if California is any indication. Merlin Entertainments has historically been lax about policy (perhaps that’s why TLG bought them back). However, they swore by the street date for the July 1 wave, so who knows? Maybe they finally had “sanctions” imposed?
-
Fair enough, but it’s possible that someone knows about next year’s D2C. Sadly, I do not. Regardless, I would say that a big $200+ set is extremely likely for next year, though I have no proof. I eagerly await the news of next year’s sets, but first I eagerly await The Rise of Voldemort and the Beauxbatons Carriage!

I found the post, from May 10. The Lake Task part is a wishlist for sure, but it’s possible, however unlikely, that we’ll get this D2C Durmstrang Ship. EDIT: I am NOT trying to spread false rumors, I’m just as excited about this theme as everyone else
-
Wasn’t there earlier (unsubstantiated) rumor of a D2C Durmstrang ship, with or without a Second Task component? Has anyone heard anything regarding this? It’s almost certainly baseless, but who knows?
-
That was last year. Not saying we’ll get an SDCC exclusive, but four Bricktober minifigures, which were not supposed to be scarce, doesn’t really have anything to do with it. My money’s on an exclusive vignette like last year’s Millennium Falcon cockpit, with either a minifigure or two already available, or one that will be available next year, pertaining to Years 5-6.
-
It’s already been posted in the Updating Your Harry Potter Minifigures thread, along with a lot of other great ideas by “Seaber.” I meant to add some pictures of my own, but my photography skill is lacking.

I really think the hairpiece they gave him is spot on. The high hairline subtly adds to his gaunt look. I built that minifigure and I immediately thought: Oh my god, it’s Gary Oldman! However, I think the Moody hair piece in light or dark brown would work well for his Order of the Phoenix appearance, when he’s had time to style his hair.

Thank you for the PSA! They must have used the stickers from the UCS Hogwarts when they took the photos. I was tempted by the book already, but now I will go for it when/if the price is right!
