Avalonia Book III task II and Task III part 1
zoth33 replied to Servertijd's topic in Guilds of Historica
I like the irregular base and the landscaping. The different fences are a nice touch. The cottage itself is really well done, I like the wood with the tan walls. The roof looks good with the plates on the top. I like the little pieces of wood in the front of the house and the laterns are one of the best things lego have made recently. Nice figs too. -

REVIEW: 71023 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie 2 Series
zoth33 replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Loving the Wizard of Oz figs so far. The baby raptor in dark blue is great. Walmart had a huge display with the CMF's and other sets and other lego movies in it. Probably go back this weekend to find more. -
That set is so hard to find. The only one i've seen was at a lego store here in Connecticut. I'm really hoping the next wave of Harry Potter sets have some great stuff in them.

Great build. I like the roof and the snow on the roof. The interiors are nice, I especially like the grated floor in the forge. Nice pathway and snow effect on the outside of the building. All the figs are neat too.

Avalonia Book III Task I, Oxenfurt, "Outpost Booth"
zoth33 replied to Servertijd's topic in Guilds of Historica
I like the landscaping around the wall with the grass and different plant pieces. Nice wall, I like the texturing with the use of 1x1 rounds and tiles. I also like the touch of green in the wall. The pathway is nice too. Figs look good, I like the guy looking down from the top of the wall. -
Nice little scene. I like the way you are using lighting in the latest builds. Good idea, kinda wish the build was a little bigger. Will there be more to this story.

Nice little fire at the beach. I like the little piece of drift wood and sea weed. Nice continuation of lady Gwendaline's story
-
Neat idea. Band looks good on the spooky stage. I like the crowd and the variation in figs you have here. All the little transactions are a nice touch too.

Challenge II: Category A: Grain for Arkbri Orcs
zoth33 replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great little scene here. I really like the way you did the trees with the piece from the city sets and the brown horn pieces, really give off that mangled half dead feel. I like the landscape with the brown and tan grass pieces too. Nice job with the figs and great story. -
CHALLENGE II: Category A: High Ridge Gates

I really like your stonework here, especially the irregular bottom section. The door and wall have that Dwarvish feel to it. What is the round piece in the center with the symbol on it from I don't remember seeing that before? -
Challenge II - Category C - Campfire Conversation

Nice little scene. I like the fire and the landscaping with the tree. Nice story also. -
Really interesting color choices on the buildings, I think the purple works well here. The tile roofs are great. The arches throughout the build are excellent. I like the flower garden and the different vines and flowers in the build. The figs are great too.

This is just awesome. I love the texturing and colors of all the buildings. Each building has it's own style yet they all blend well together. The touches of plants throughout the build are great, make the scene come to life, especially the two round stone sections by the water really great idea. The little things going on the streets is great too. I like the two guys with the table of money, the lion guys watching the game, and the other different people watching the game really bring the scene to life. Excellent job overall.

Challenge II - Category B - Mid-Spring Festival in Bluevale
zoth33 replied to Bracari's topic in Guilds of Historica
Interesting scene, I like all the vendors at the festival. The pole is a neat idea. There alot of figs and several different things going on, I think if it was spread out more it would look a little better and the groundwork is a little one note. -
Great architecture. I like the wooden windows that slide out. The Arches are wonderful and the use of the masonry bricks gives it a nice weathered feel. I like the way you posed the two figs with the capes in the background.

I like the dwarven architecture, like mccoyed said the irregular ceiling is a nice touch. I like the use of the irregular tiles with the 1x1 plate inverted on the second floor of the build.

Good build. I like the arched hallway and the tapestries and other details like pots and furniture throughout the scene. Really nice story and great figs too.
