zoth33 replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think this is great even though it's different from the original idea. I'll definitely be picking up one of these. My youngest son thinks it's an awesome set. Nice job redesigning the set. Really can't wait to build this it's going to be fun. -

I hear you but at this point i will take what I can get. The castle sets of the 80's and 90's were some of my favorites and building them back then was great. Fantasy era had some nice sets and Kingdoms was good with the village raid and other sets. But since we are getting that viking and knight in the CMF's and hopefully the blacksmith shop this year, the summer Ninjago wave looks great for castle builds, and the hidden side castle seems to have some great figs that's good enough for me at this point. We also have the centaurs in Harry Potter coming. I mean at least we are getting something instead of absolutely nothing. It could be a lot worse, we could get nothing castle at all or castle like. At least we can use these figs for custom figs of our own. I can't sit here and complain all day that we have no true castle theme, sometimes you got to take what you can get until they actually release a castle theme. -

The knight and a statue from hidden side leaked and are looking pretty good. The detailing on the knight is really good and I hope the castle is an actual castle not just part of one. Another skeleton leaked from Ninjago and looks great, I like it better than the black one. It's going to be a good year for us castle fans. -

I really like the printing on the knight. Hope we see pictures of the sets soon. The castle could be great I hope. -
Interesting tower. I like the texturing of the tower. The wooden parts look good with the tan and black roofs. The base has some nice coloring. Well done.

The goblin looks great. Hopefully his torso head and headgear will be on B&P so I can get a bunch of those. This wave is going to be great and I will definitely be spending alot of money on this wave. -
The goblin looks great. Really like the print and the new color. It will be a welcome addition to the large faction of goblins I have now. Can't wait for pictures of the sets. I'm going to be buying alot of these sets.

That's all the vendetta mask is. To me the nose isn't long enough for plague doctor but I get what your getting at.

Nice build. I like the snow on the ground. The tower is very nice, clean, and smooth with just enough texturing and detail to break it up. The interiors are excellent. I love that you have a fireplace on every level on the one side where the chimney is, such a great detail. I also love that you have doors in each room and that they match another very nice detail. My only criticism is that the snow on the trees seems a bit blocky. But overall excellent job.

Bravo on the bridge. Its great and has a ton of detail. The vegetation on the edge of the water is great. I really like the small trees with the plant pieces, very nice. The variety of plants is nice to see. Your comment about the goat is great for not only Historica but the entire lego community itself, made me laugh.

The Ninjago figs all look great. The torsos, armor and shields will be really useful. I think I will be able to use those hoods in some faction. The shoulder piece and torso's are definitely good fro skyrim, warhammer, dungeons and dragons figs. The villains look great. The skeleton will be a welcome addition especially those green eyes. The sorcerer looks good and the mask could possibly be used for a custom V for Vendetta fig. I hope the dragon is green, black with some white mixed in. The centaurs from Harry Potter are looking really good, I like that the tail matches the torso. I can't wait to army build them. -
How about V for Vendetta mask instead. I'm loving the figs so far hope the builds are just as good. Can't wait to see the rest of the cast and villains. My youngest son is loving this so far.

Nice start to your build. The tower has some nice details and good looking battlements. I like your choice of colors, reminds me of the old tudor style buildings lego used to have back in the 80's. Hopefully you can get enough bricks soon to finish the build.

They are great figs hopefully after Covid19 settles down we will see them. Great details on both figs can't wait to get them in hand. I really like the new sword. The printing on both is fantastic. The new Harry Potter series looks to be quite promising too. Great accessories and figs from the ones we've seen so far. -
Well done. Very interesting idea. Nice use of existing parts in this series.

Great castle. It's very clean and polished looking. Good looking store rooms and armory. The black and white part is a awesome detail that makes it really stand out. The drawbridge is nicely done. I like the path up to the bridge. Nice water around the castle and I like the vine growing up the side.
-
Very nice cottage. I like the texturing and the chimney is very good. The foliage is well done and I like the way you did the trees. Nice touch of the green water with the bones. Great looking figs too.

This should be interesting. Can't wait to see the sets. We could get some wonderful figs out of this. So many things they could do with this theme. I need an army of koopa's.

The fireplace and mantle are great, I like the use of the teeth pieces. The designs for the wall and floor are nice and compliment each other well. Great looking figs too and good story.
-
Very nice figs. I like the ogre and the posing for all of them is great. Some really nice techniques there.

Sounds good to me. These sets sound promising. -
Great build. I like the courtyard outside the building. The building and walls have some great texturing and I like the balcony. Excellent figs too!

That's great. I've seen many of the other builds. That's cool you built it with your friend. It is a great story, sometimes you can come up with very interesting things when you can't sleep.
