Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Darth Shadowthrone replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
That was the jacket he's wearing in all the posters for Half-Blood Prince, isn't it? I've never been a fan of Harry's civilian clothing but that would actually be a cool one to get. -

It would definitely have been really cool to get the CMF monkey again, maybe with clothes printed on like the monkey from POTC. Definitely a missed opportunity, I'm fed up with that cutlass piece considering how many new moulds have been created for Medieval swords.- 5,874 replies

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

Oh wow I thought they were just going to reuse the bunny piece but that’s whole new mould by the looks of it! Looks really good overall although those front feet do look awkward. Luna’s patronus is meant to be a hare which is larger than a rabbit but it’s still amazing attention to detail for Lego to make a new mould that probably isn’t very reusable -
Wow it's really cool to see the chicken there, hopefully there will be a pig available eventually. Also interesting to see the torso and legs from the Series 19 Dogwalker and the torso from the Series 19 Rugy Player are there.

That would be a fun set to get but I don't see any reason why it would be made this year when the focus seems to be on the fifth and sixth films + 1 / 2 iconic locations (Privet Drive and maybe Diagon Alley, though this can easily have lots of elements from the later films as well) It's an exciting idea to consider that the trio in the CMF are not from Half Blood Prince but their younger variants instead (with two hairpieces!). It would even make sense for any of them not to be on the bag as looking at Series 1's packaging none of the Prisoner of Azkaban trio are featured, just the lone Harry from Philosopher's Stone. It could be the same here, with a lone Half Blood Prince Harry on the bag and another younger variant who can turn into Goyle. However, if Chamber of Secrets Crabbe and Goyle minifigures are included then a Chamber of Secrets Draco would definitely have to be as well. This could mean the students included would be scattered through the years, with Chamber of Secrets Harry/Goyle, Ron/Crabbe, Hermione and Draco, POA Neville and HBP Harry and Luna. However, the first series' selection of students was similarly random so I don't think this is too out there. -

Wow that's the weirdest picture of leaked minifigures I've ever seen . Thank god Luna has her own distinctive hairpiece otherwise we'd have no idea that was her. Looking forward to seeing all the Slub Club variants, that was a really funny scene in the film. -

Thanks for sharing those, I haven't seen any of those diving sets from 1997 before. It's interesting how a common theme of all those sets is that they contain an underwater structure the divers are exploring, it'll be interesting to see how much of that is included in this new wave.- 5,874 replies

As well as getting new animals I hope this impacts how the animals are presented in the sets. It would be great if instead of being threatened by animals like the sharks there was more of a focus on recording and observing the animals, with maybe even a shark cage for the divers (I can't remember if Lego has ever made one of those before).- 5,874 replies

If you go on the #legoleaks tab on instagram you'll have to scroll down quite a bit to find it. It's past all the pictures of the new clone trooper and wonder woman set -

Yeah the only reason (it seems) that sets are going to be delayed is if they're directly tying into new film releases like the Minions sets were. Harry Potter will be fine! -

Also there's loads of Clones with different markings in the Clone Wars show, so the minifigures with different printing could still be put with each other and probably still look alright. -

As well as Battlefront 2 and this I think they're going to appear in the new season of Clone Wars too (they were in the trailer) so the set can tie into that as well. I'm curious about the thoughts that these look too Clone War-sy, apart from maybe the visors not being as long as other film-based Phase 2 clones they look like they could fit right in with the other clones to me. Comparing them to the 2013 501st Clone Troopers their blue patterning looks completely different and more in line with the films. Also if we don't see the clone troopers with Ahsoka-based orange helmets in the AAT I think they'd be a great fit for a polybag. Crossing my fingers now that both Ahsoka and Rex are in the AAT but it seems like a long shot at this point -

Getting two unique dinosaurs in one small set is amazing! I'm really looking forward to seeing the adult ankylosaurus now. Also looking at the two baby dinosaurs together it's interesting how they have similar colour schemes with tan on the bottom and green on the top, even though they're different shades. Also how the anky has just one stud on top whereas the trike has a two stud hole like lego horses. -
Wow I love how many fantastical elements there are in this series! The sea nymph, halfling and Mothman are the highlight for me! I also love how there's two new hairpieces with pointy ears and one with horns, those are the kind of useful elements that should be introduced in a CMF and re-used elsewhere.

Oh wow that ray mould is amazing! Looks great from both the top and the underneath! Both this and the hammerhead shark are so good it's a shame there's no octopus update to go with them.- 5,874 replies

Good to hear we’re getting another poly bag. I hope it’s got some interesting pieces, tho I suspect it will just have a Prisoner of Azkaban Harry in his blue jacket just like in the three sets last year. -

Wait a minute, isn't that line from Goblet of Fire? When Harry comes out of the maze with Cedric's body. Maybe the cmf figure with the weird hat is Amos Diggery /s Fudge does say it in Order of the Phoenix too, but if the Atrium set is smaller I don't know what build it could have. Also would Fudge be included? He's like fifth on the list after Harry, Bellatrix, Voldemort and Dumbledore and there's all the other far more interesting characters from the Veil part of the fight who would add more play value than the Minister of Magic in his pajamas -

I'm going to have to disagree with you there, the latest golden dragon from the Legacy Ninjago subtheme was amazing both for how poseable it was and how good it looked, especially with how the wings can be angled. As someone who has both the 2005 and 2019 Horntails I also prefer the new one (even tho it's not perfect) because it's far more playable than the more static one. Although Lego Smaug was perfect if they made the Ukrainian Ironbelly at the same scale and detail it would add an extra £50 on top of the build of on any set. Also I really don't think that the dragon will be in the Diagon Alley set either, especially as the set will probably be much more focused on design than playability. As the last Gringotts was just a foyer with a vault I think we'll see something similar here. Also my ideal Diagon Alley set would have the Leaky Cauldron with both a front facade facing the Muggle World and the back brick-door area leading out onto a line of shops up to Gringotts, with Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and Borgin and Burkes creating a corner on the opposite side to the shops unconnected from them. With that many buildings I think it could easily be £400, especially if some are quite shallow builds similar to the Sanctum Sanctorum, where each half of the building was only about a £50 build. Apart from maybe Gringotts and Weasley's Wizard Wheezes I doubt any of the individual structures will be modular-sized. -

Ah my bad, I always thought it was based on him! It is odd how Lego seems to avoid named clones sometimes, instead going for background characters instead. Maybe so it's more accessible to people who don't know the characters' names? -

What if they include some shops with interiors and some as just facades with little to no interior? That way there would be the illusion of more of a street with a row of buildings instead of what they did in 2011. Looking at the Microscale Diagon Alley they did manage to make each shopfront look distinctive so I could definitely imagine them doing it again just at a larger scale. -

Based on when I got loads of Clone Wars sets when I was younger I'm pretty sure we've never got a named Clone Troopers who's not an officer: Cody, Rex, Gree, Wolf, Fox, etc are all captains or commanders. Therefore I'll doubt we'll get anyone like Fives, Waxer, Echo or Jesse. I think the best case scenario is us getting Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and Rex spread out across the wave (probably one in each set) with designs that all fit together so you can display them together. In terms of other clones I think it's most likely that they'll just be generic legion colours except maybe with unique markings on one so they can be called '501st Medic' or 'Arc Trooper' like what they did with that Arc Trooper in the battlepack with the Commando Droids who was based on Arc Troper Colt. -

Definitely! The biggest Lego set I've ever got is the 2015 Millennium Falcon so this is on a whole other scale. It's over 3 times the price of the 2011 Diagon Alley! But I know that if it comes with more shops than the last one, like Eeylops Owl Emporium or The Leaky Cauldron then I won't be able to resist. -
I was actually looking through your Instagram earlier with my brother and saw the Loch Ness monster suit, I thought that was the funniest animal suit I've seen so far and one I would definitely get. My brother couldn't believe how many series you've made! I love reading old stories about Cryptids so it's great to see you've been including them in your designs. It's frustrating to me that Lego seems to have run out of mythical creatures they want to include, though I suppose you could count the Monkey King last year and we'll almost definitely get a centaur next year.

Same, I've been getting mostly just the smaller sets of this theme anyway as I have most of the 2010 sets. This year I'll definitely get the Room of Requirement, the Grawp set and maybe the Privet Drive set, while I might have to start saving up for Diagon Alley -

That could be a fun family gathering to stage in Lego: have the potential Bellatrix, Tonks and Sirius minifigures together. You could even add in the Malfoys!
