So do you throw out all the LEGO boxes from the LEGO House's garbage? so not to raise neighbor's suspicion? Also! do you have a little tunnel between houses (made out of lego? )? (why does this feel like it's going to turn into a 'Ask Madoka questions' thread?

Brickfete this weekend! Checklist: Batteries: Check. Appropriately large car to lug LEGO: Check. LEGO packed and ready to roll: Check. I think I'm ready, are you? Hopefully people in GTA can come on down on Saturday and see some crazy LEGO mocs and finally put some faces behind those avatars!

Very nice, looks to have some good play room. But where's the Superman telephone changing 'room'?

WOH. I clicked on the trailer and at first was "URGH, they making a sequel to that stupid movie" then I think I wet myself. Looks great! Can't wait to jump back into airbender I hope they come out with more Airbender LEGO - the Firenation heads were awesome.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Si-MOCs replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
StoutFiles is now my officially my hero. not just acquiring such an amazing collection but setting it up WOW. I'll stay in your guest room anytime -
All the above I would agree on - all fantastic books and authors. I would like to chime in and give a shoutout to Warren Ellis - possibly my favorite author. He's done a lot of small arc type stuff and I believe he wrote the recent marvel anime cartoons that's airing in Japan. My personal favorite comic of all time is "Planetary" - it's kinda a homage to all this comics and a lot of scifi - but I wouldn't recommend reading them till after you read a few more of the 'classics' Have fun!

Have you considered fathering children? Not necessarily the cheapest sorter available, but pretty fun to make In all seriousness, I've never heard of the box4blox - it's a good concept to at least sort in rough sizes. And I would be also interested to see your contraption. OMG That's what the LEGO head is? I've seen them before, and I never paid close attention, I assumed it was just a big head shaped storage container... now I might consider getting one. plus it's a giant Minifig head

I have bought from BrickTW in the past - and I can say it's good quality stuff. Securely and nicely individually packed, and even gave some nice tips on how to work with the chrome pieces (they're a bit thicker with the chrome so pieces are a bit tighter!).

I think it's the product of the poor US economy :-/ They're not doing too well down there so TRU is probably hurting. I guess it's probably better to move some inventory at lower margin than not selling anything at 'regular' margin. I guess we should be 'grateful' that our economy is doing 'okay' (And yes, the sales are really irritating ) Sorry it must be a local thing - I was at the Yonge and Eglington one. If you want I can check stock tomorrow and report back what they have before you make the trip.

Project: Aliens - Colonial Marines
Si-MOCs replied to Blacktron's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow fantastic work! No matter how many iteration I see/read of space marines or space army guys or whatever, in my mind the Alien's Colonial Marines are the defacto gold standard of what they should be like. And these pieces really do bring them justice I hope that you do decide to quasi-mass produce these as I think me and many other people would be interested -
The Harry Potter sets aren't on sale though? are they?
-
Just checked TRU @ Yonge and Eglignton and they had the Pod Racer set (last copy - $120) didn't see any other new stuff there. I also checked out Chapters/Indigo and they had several sets for 30% off - Republican Shuttle, Echo Base, a few LEGO games, construct a Buzz and a few duplo/ben 10- sets (most stuff out by front, SW stuff up in the kids area).

LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace TV Special
Si-MOCs replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't really keep up usually with these animated specials - does it typically give hints to next years sets? Over all I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it - decent story and standard and well done humour. I think I liked Brickdoctor's 2nd spoiler best -
Please support my first LEGO Cuusoo Project - "Red Bird"
Si-MOCs replied to chiukeung99's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hehe, I'd buy that ;) [though wouldn't LEGO have to have a license agreement with ... who ever makes Angry Birds?] -
hehe very cool. I'm part way through book 2, so I only quickly skimmed through the figs (just in case ) So... any plans on recreating some of the more iconic settings and putting these figs to use?

I'm no fan of Megablocks, but I have to admit that looks very good. and I found this on the warcraft side: Also I have to admit, looks very good.

Favorite Official Lego Mini figure?
Si-MOCs replied to Ben Blackman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Even though this actually came out during my Dark Ages, my fav: My second choice would have been Luke from Final Duel 2. -
Sideways rock work is brilliant, as is the over all concept!

Lovely army, it looks like you definitely had some fun setting up the scene. I particularly like the wall and the archers on top. For your next moc you might consider varying up the terrain a bit, maybe some soft or rolling hills, or even a bunch of randomly placed green plate just to make it feel less flat.
-
haha that is absolutely awesome. I love it. I don't think I can look at those Maersk guys the same way again.

I'm liking how people have these little back stories for their own kingdoms makes me want to dive into some serious castle (army) building Personally I have a large (50+) Crown Knights collection, a sizeable (30?) ninja/samurai contingent, a surprisingly large Orient Express Dragon guys and handfuls of some of the older knights. I don't have any of the newest guys yet, but I wanna start building some of the Dragon Knights...

Finally! I've been watching the progress and it's nice to finally see it all put together. Absolutely fantastic build! If you hadn't mentioned it I would have assumed you were a Castle Pro!
