Fantastic. I'm surprised that you didn't bring this to BW? Sure it doesn't have fancy moving parts, but it's absolutely gorgeous.
-
Ogre- Love the setup. Though have you considered building a mosaicy-background to mimic some mountains or something? That would make it even cooler. Lego40k- Nice armies! I’m really really starting to like those Dragon Knights.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display

*COUGH* I think I could have filled the entire theater with Lukes... It's probably my most plentiful minifig - I used them as a basis for my Black BF-Hoplite army. -
So many beautiful little touches. But I think the 2 Minifig Pillars are definitely my fave. Simple but beautiful.

I really like all the details you put in. as well as all the little techniques thrown in. This makes me want to start working on my own castle ;)

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display

Well it's not impressive as a Lexus full of BP's ;) Actually my very first BL order, I ordered like 40+ Final Duel 2 sets. Hence the high number of Imp Officers. :) I've had soft spot for them ever since. -
Wow cool little guy you got there. Blue and Bley makes it kinda look classic spacey (unless that's what you're going for). But besides that looks neat. Though for the cockpit maybe use something besides trans clear? maybe trans black?

Since all the cool kids are sharing their armies, I thought I might as well do it too... My Army is't nearly impressive as others, but I'm happy with it: -
YES! GIVE me a battle pack of just brain suckers! haha that would be awesome. And it sucks that I have to buy two of the mother ships so I can get 'Kodos' and 'Kang'
-
Interesting. Looking at the fine print, it doesn't mention Free Shipping in Canada, but I did a dry-checkout and it seems to be free :) -- Is the battle pack really worth it? yes you get 5 guys - but civilian isn't really that useful? at which point you could just buy 2 of the mini Alien stalkers and get 2 ADU and 2 Aliens + bonus pieces (Though you don't get that particular squishy head alien...) --Edit: wow! the price for the battle pack is only 50cents more than the USD version! /cries - i'm so happy.

Apparently these were in Singapore. Very clever. Not my pictures, found via: http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2011/06/24/brilliant-lego-ads-integrates-fiction-with-reality-pics/

Thanks :) I built this maybe 2 weeks ago? I need to occupy myself waiting for Futurama to start ;) I knew you guys would nail me on this... I specifically used 1x1 bricks so that you can see vertical lines in the 'teeth' to try to achieve the vertical effect ... apparently not good enough. I'll see what I can do for the vertical lines... Hmmmm... after consulting with the the intertubs, you are correct, Flexo's beard is a bit pointer. I'll have to make some adjustments ;) Actually he has both vertical and horizontal 'teeth' - but yeah... I knew i should have built the vertical lines, I was lazy. Thanks :) I know it amuses me whenever I walk by it. Thanks! Wait, Bender *IS* awesome, but there are other great characters too... Fry and Zoid are awesome!

Thanks Jeff that was super helpful! Iain, Ricey and myself hit up the PAB wall on Saturday. Another Pro-Tip for people - there is occasionally some extra pieces in back that's not on the shelf, so don't be shy and ask what's in back! As of Saturday they had 1x2 clears, dark red? and medium blue, 1x1 clear round plate. Re: Ogre - there's an AC Battle pack? DAR. I just bought a bunch of those Alien Stalker mini packs with two guys. blah FOUR more days to register for Brickfête!

With the resumption of the 6th Season of Futurama, I present to you: Bender Bending Rodrigeuz. He's 30% Iron, 40% titanium, 40% lead, 40% zinc, 40% dolomite, 20% chromium, 40% osmium, 0.04% nickel, 60% storage space, 40% lucky and 100% awesome. And of course let's not forget Flexos! Bender's sum-of-two-cubes buddy!:

What? not pretty? I think that's one of the sexiest things I've ever seen. PS - Dark green awesome pallet choice.

I saw this posted a bunch of times on various people's photostreams for BW11 - it's nice to know who actually built this. Like everyone else has mentioned three huge wins: Cheese Slopes, Sheep, Concept. Awesome :)

Fantastic as ever :)

Wow. Very cool. I love the little battle damage on one side. And all the little details. How did you get the lighting effect? was it a single light source in the ship's cavity? or were there multiple lights? (I assume the pontoons had their own light source)

Do you work out what you need before buying?
Si-MOCs replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think I'm one of the oddities here where I don't really plan out my MOCs and purchase pieces towards it. I tend to prebuy useful pieces for MOCs then build with what I have. I'll typically look at pieces and think of potential uses for it, For example: I might see some wedge plates and be like - well these are cheap - I can build a a corner of a wall with 15 of these. I'll probably 4 walls - so that's 60 plates. and throw in a buffer so maybe I'll order 80. When I build, I like to have pieces in hand so I can shape and see what works. Occasionally I'll come up with something that will need special parts to be ordered. Lastly, I work primary in Bley - so it's pretty easy for me to skim through a store looking for pieces I know I will (eventually) use and what's at a good price. And of course I know my most commonly used pieces and I'll keep restocking those pieces. This is not the most cost effective way, but it seems to be the most flexible-creative way for me. -
Holy CRAP. you guys built that in 48 hours? That makes the build even more incredible. I certainly hope to shake some of your hands @ BW2012

FYI Some good Samaritan has updated the PAB list for Sherway: http://www.brickbuildr.com/view/pab/side/off/81/ I'll be heading over there bright and early Saturday Morning to do some Stacking!

I think it's funny how the 'mid price' sets are now over $100 ;) re: Grey tiles - I did not notice any last Friday I was there, off the top of my head I think they had the following bricks: 1x1 , 2x4 dark bluish grey ,and 1x4 light bley. and I believe 4x4 plate... can't remember if it was black or dark bley... i was in a rush and didn't have much time. I heard they were getting new elements this week - likely some bley.
-
DONE! Thanks for the heads up! gonna see if I can manage to get some from the states! but yeah, it's so sad that even their regular price is better than our 'good' sales.

This thread makes me all sorts of happy. Loved the first game, but not nearly as much as my brother - who got every single achievement...
