I saw this earlier, but I still love it none the less. Fantastic idea, and even better execution! Though I'm curious - did you build each section with a particular person in mind? Do I want to know who is the space-piss EBer? :P

Oh I definitely hope so! they look great! and I'm sure all the CC fans will go crazy for them. I just hope that they keep coming out with Dragon Knights (we needs our dark green!) - if I had to choose I'd keep the Dragon Knights over the Lions Thanks for sharing ISC! -

Awesome. Love the black knight. But I'm disappointed they didn't have the Dragon Knights... or atleast a Dragon Knight Champ. Still a definite buy -
ahh! you can say it too: Let me try: megablocks! Damn my plebeian powers. -- Consider yourself an honourary Canadian! You guys talk funny, just like us.

Actually I think he was being a Smart megablocks* :P *I love how RC's title isn't blocked -- No I do not work for LEGO. There *IS* a LEGO CANADA headquarters in Markham. I assume the Megablock headquarters is in Quebec somewhere... When Ogre said I was at Lego HQ last time (Sherway) - he means *the* Lego Headquarters - in Billund, Denmark: -- I Would be curious how much Brickforge stuff LT will carry... I'm not sure if it'll be enough for army builders... or maybe we'll be order through them? might be convenient to save on some shipping...

I struggled a bit trying to fit it in - I wanted it to be like the central point or 'head' - but I don't think it fit in just right. But the rest of it turned out right :) You can't PEW PEW PEW without weapons. Thanks!

Man that thing looks so swooshable! :)

I liked how the angle of the sun flowing through the trans red bricks... But what did you put in with the hybrid? it almost looks like white glue >.<
-
Some pretty great details there - especially the engine area... Out of curiosity are those chrome bricks? or spraypainted?
-
Nice! I'm digging those cannons!
-
That's quite nice. I'd buy one if I saw them in the shop. Are these (this and the other set) their standard detail level for their sets? or is this part of more of a 'model' line - it's quite detailed for usual mass produced set. I like!

From what I hear, I want to be at that Grand Opening this time.

Si Corp is pround to present the latest in short range autonomous fighter technology! Please step into the StarFighter Show Room for a 360 tour of our latest fighter! The Si-Ma.K 5150 "Bow Fighter" builds upon the successful Si-Mak 42 platform, delivering the same cloud cluster fighting as the 42, but in a smaller and cheaper system base. The 5150 Bow Fighter was designed for close in tight fighting with one or a cluster of Fighters in planetary, close orbit or close fleet operations. Unlike the 42, the 5150 requires a base of operations and has a smaller networked swarm range than the bigger 42 variant. It is idea solution for rapid attacks or defence of specific sub light year zones. The 5150 Bow Fighters squads are commonly called Fifty-One-Fifty due to perceived odds of fighting with (50:1), or against a cluster (1:50). Which side of the odds do you want to be? Order now. -- -- As always, I love to hear any criticisms or comments!

I saw this on flickr... but it's such a fun little set it deserves two sets of thumbs up! Are you going to do a blue Toys R Us one too?
-
aww shucks, thanks Hinckley. That's puts quite the feather in my cap :) Glad you liked it! And no greeble! shocking eh? Thanks! It took quite a few experiments to get it to work right especially squaring up the front of the tower.

neato. I've never played the game so I can't comment on accuracy - but I like the over all shape of it. That little boarding ramp with the flip up thingy is fun. Unless the idea is to be blocky - I would suggest maybe trying to use more wedge plates if you have them and smooth out the two front 'wings' more. Also put some railings on your boarding ramp! if someone falls you're going to get sued!

I would surf on that! Nice little build. Also nice photography - I hate shooting mocs with black - but you captured it well

heh. I don't know why it reminds me a bit like those little space ships outside the supermarket - but all grown up into a real rocket!
-
Love the shaping - and the spoiler for how it works :) Nice use of the ... <spoilers> to achieve the slopes. And the over head shot really shows how nicely the craft is shaped. great build!

ack! late as always. Sounds like you had a splendid day (hope you had some Maersk hottie action). Happy belated birthday.
-
eh? I didn't reallize you were Canadian We put the EH in EH-FOL I found out the trick is having lots of those 3x3 side pieces... without it I don't know how to do it without just floating all the bricks on a few studs. Wow! Thanks. That's probably the best complement I could get. Thanks all!

B-M-1D The largest church in Iceland, Hallgrímskirkja was designed in an expressionist style was designed it to resemble the basalt lava flows of Iceland's landscape. At 74.5 metres it is the tallest structure in Reykjavík. This was a bit of a challenge to build - as the entire thing is actually built on a 45 degree angle so that I can replicate the iconic 'pillars'. After a few attempts I was fairly happy with it - though it's structurally not as sound as it may look. Detailed view of back. More of an overhead to see the rear -- I took some creative license - In real life it's much taller and there is a Viking Statue is in front of Hallgrímskirkja Church - but I like Hoplites better ;) I actually left my AWB set from something, so it turned out bluish by accident: -- Wiki page on the church -- More on Flickr Comments/criticisms always welcome. Enjoy!

Posability - different ways to pose or position parts the figure, like different ways to stand/kneel etc etc. It's something that I find hard to do and very nice when I see it on badass mech suits :) Tons of great details in there, that window /w the minifig backpack is great!

Very very nice. It really captures the steam punk feel while making something that seems plausible and not completely out there... And that smoke is brilliant. Well done!
