A few thoughts: 1) MORE LIGHTS! 2) Your crown guy fell over on 2nd picture 3) great rock work 4) I love the little roofs 5) great use of technic bricks on the ramparts Awesome stuff! really like what you did there, I just wish it was brighter and easier to see. If you have a few more grey bricks, you should try to cover up those little green spots - or if you want a bit off grass, add a few green plates or plants to make it obvious.

... There's a printout?

Like I said on Flickr- fantastic build. I certainly don't want to be in your region. Oh wait I am Seriously really great build - really does evoke the SW realm. great job! Though I'm curious how you achieved the triangular shape ? It looks like a series of off set 1x4 technic bricks?

I read this over a few times and let it sit in my head for a bit. First off - awesome work putting it together - it's a great start to get people thinking! At first reaction I was wasn't liking the grouping of all the factions together - I had imagined smaller groups dedicating themselves building out their 'niche' faction... but then I realized that it did make sense and allows for the logical grouping of like minded/similar groups as well as the oh so important and fun collaboration bringing it all together somewhere. Some of those pictures are truely inspirational! Though I think we might need to prop up the Arcane Guild up ... as there is only really one official LEGO race that applies - that's the dwarfs and was only available for short period of time. With Dwarfs and Elves being propped up by CMF sales it results in a limited number of minifigs for most people - while this isn't insurmountable it does make this slightly harder. That being said, I think it'd also be one of the more fun Guilds to be in - as you can really let your imagination run wild :D 50 points Lion-dor! I've always though competition brings out some pretty good building juices - my only concern is making sure that everyone finds a place they want to be - while keeping all the guilds somewhat balanced... I would expect the (if going by Siren's guild) Kingdom of Men would be quite popular.

Nice Haul! some good pieces in there too! Man now I wanna go for some pab stack'n. Even though I haven't unpacked my last cup

I liked this a lot ... I loved how it flows like a story ... and while it might seem 'cheesy' to use the print outs - I loved them, especially the bat signal on the roof! Hopefully you can retool and entry cause I did like this quite a bit! Good job!

Let's share our funny interesting photos!
Si-MOCs replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Dr Glycol and his 'drinks' After a hard day at the Mad Scientist lab, Dr Glycol hangs out and takes a couple of drinks from his his well stocked Booze stash- cleverly hidden in his Test Tubes. No one thinks to checks to see what's inside the beakers - everyone just assumes he's MAD... Now which one was the booze again? -
/clap you ser, are a clever one 3003/02 reporting for ABS Mine Punishment dispensing duty! My speciality is torture by Molten ABS Dental work!

Great build :) The lighting effects are great and your custom figures are very nice!

I don't know if I should be inspired - or utterly demoralized. I knew I'd see some awesome stuff come out of this contest - but WOW

I'm not sure if I should take that as a complement or an insult? And Tan? interesting choice. The Brickening? is that like the Quickening? where if we chop off your Studs we gain your powers?

Some good ideas being thrown around about things we can do... But I think people are thinking a bit too much 'end game' - and not the actual journey. The end result is likely to have a massive collection of mocs and everyone parked into a 'guild' or something that they enjoy building and expanding upon (at least that seems to be the current thought) but we forget the best part: GETTING THERE. Who says we have to all break off into each separate guild right from the get go? I'd rather see a year long (longer?) where the entire group effort is focused on designing and build up each guild - and then when we're done have people continue on with building in that particular 'guild' that they enjoy I would love to see something like every 2-3 months we have a one or two 'guilds' that everyone builds towards - working together as a community to try to define and develop a new EB archetype style for each group. Then move on to another guild - that way every LEGO theme will be hit, and everyone will get a chance to help build/discuss/input on each theme.

Lovely build. Quite spine tingling! I'm really impressed how you were able to take so many different and interesting angles from such a small confined space! Good stuff!

I was betting on the mushroom :( hehe fun! I think the Tan looks a bit better - since I think it's actually closer to the Tan colour - so you could swap out the brown plates for it.

I for one, welcome our new 2x4 Overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted MOC Expert, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground ABS caves. LONG LIVE THE 2x4s!

Obviously this is extremely well executed. The trees are fantastic - and I love the Dark Green grass ;) but really stands out for me is the emotion you're able to generate with your minifig placement and your photographic angles. very nicely done.

While a 'Coffe' stained map might be cool - it'll be too static and frankly not as cool as a micro one. Benefits of a Micro map is that a) it's LEGO! b) it can be ever changing c) actually brought to conventions! and such Though there's nothing to be said about building a Micro map *THEN* photo processing it into a more traditional fantasy book 'Coffe' style map.

While I'm usually a big fan of Rock work - and you're is fantastic- I must say your bear is AWESOME overall fantastic dio!

I just wanted to echo what everyone was saying - simple and very nicely done. It's one of those on the first look it's very plain, then you see all the little details and how flushed out it is. And now seeing how it's actually done it makes the build that much more impressive to me. Really nicely done sir!

Great idea. And everyone loves Tags - Prizes come and go, but Tags live on forever! After reading through the thread and doing a bit of digestion here's a couple of thoughts - I like the map idea - even better is if we can create some or of interactive map - which links to stories and mocs and such. I loving the idea of joining 'Guilds' and working on collaborations is great. We can get to gather to build a unifying theme or style for each faction/guild - we could start by setting up as a contest to help figure some of the uniqueness of each guild. THEN have each guild build their 'capital' - thus a contest between Guilds - with prizes/tags/titles/huge bragging rights to the winning Guild. We might also possibly consider using a Mirco scale to start things off or for the first major 'collaborative' builds - reason being it would actually be small enough and feasible to ship everyone's contributions so that it can be actually put together and photographed. My other idea - while not Historically centric - is maybe have someone put up a Photography guide or FAQ (There might be one out there, but I haven't seen it)? or even a place for people to ask photography questions. In some of my MOC threads which were either really large or low light I've had people ask questions on how this and that was done - it might make sense if there's a centralized location - we have so many great builders on the forum - and it's a shame if people aren't shooting the best possible pictures. Though I suspect with CCC coming up this forum would become fairly busy pretty soon ;)

Nice! I was waiting for the next chapter! The story is fantastic - as is the build - but that's not surprising coming from you

Mr. Magnanimous - likely given to me by KielDaMan for my magnanimous behaviour in my MOC thread that reignited the "Should Bounty Hunter Ships go in Star Wars Forum?" debate

Now that's a show I would watch ;) While the black lighting is awesome - when you turn out the lights you can't see some of the other awesome details you've built!

heheh the Axe is adorable. that dish in the front reminds me of Bioshock's big daddy - plus the over all proportions - low and a bit wide. I particularly like how you did the feet. Good job!

I will never get tired of seeing Optimus in LEGO form Very nice - and bonus cool points for actually transforming! With regards to the arms - have you considered using a 1x2 instead of 1x1s? it looks like truck form there is still enough space between his arm and the wheel. and once he's in robot form, rotate the 1x2 so that the 2 stud wide section faces us - thus effectively doubling the arm space. (also - awesome smoke stacks)
