Forge and bellows are the best parts for me. Otherwise it’s an excellent clean build that looks extremely realistic. i also like that there are two anvils for multiple projects or the master and the apprentice to work side by side.

Gnomish Warehouse of Kashgar [VAR - Freebuild]
Muakhah replied to narbilu's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice build! Why do I get the impression that gnomes have an advanced labeling and filing system that enables them to make sense of that jumble of boxes but proves incomprehensible to others? i am loving how Kashgar is coming along, and of course extremely jealous that you can have a whole town built at once! i am probably going to steal that door design! -
Hi sorry to be a nuisance but Flickr is blocked in China where I am. Could you link a couple of photos into the post directly. Then I can see them. Looking forward to seeing some horse training! Thanks!

That is a really good looking forced perspective. It really looks like a sheltered valley that people might take refuge in.

Very nice build. I like how crisp and clean it looks while retaining textures due to the various bricks and walls. The only bit I think could be better is the spindly pillar at one corner. The light shines through and makes it look like that corner isn’t part of the building like the other bits. Could just be me though.

Nice work, the kneeling skirts and grindstone are the highlights. The wall in the background is detailed and there are other nice details spread around. It will be interesting to see these weapons sold or put to use.

@en_zoo Avatar the last air bender was excellent stuff. I would recommend it to anyone of any age. Fun characters with real growth and development. Actual thought gone into how the “magic” for want of a better word, happens. Funny moments and the occasional tear jerker. Might rewatch it soon actually.

[Freebuild - Mitgardia] Abandoned Kirk
Muakhah replied to Spud The Viking's topic in Guilds of Historica
An interesting start with a nicely detailed and worn down Kirk. It will be interesting to find out what caused the people to leave. -
Nice rushing water and the ground either side of it is suitable barren. I love the expressions on laesonar and Armin, they are very good. An earth bender you say? Glad to hear that the water will soon return. Hopefully the town will be able to pick itself up again.

The sand green and snow work really well together. The muted colors on the build draw attention to the festivities. As I have said before I really love the way your buildings have enough detail but also a practical simplicity that makes them look like they could go anywhere with a few tweaks. That ground floor level is great for so many builds. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and then build some more!

Book III - Varlyrio: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Muakhah replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
It was more to refer to them in a poem or story symbolically. So if it read the Dragon placed the Unicorn on the throne then people would know it actually refers to Avalonia and the current Queen. As Varlyrio doesn’t have one yet I guess I’ll pick based on whether the in character story teller has a positive or negative view of Varlyrio. -
Book III - Varlyrio: Guild sign-up and Discussion

It’s a cool symbol. I am not sure if the falcon has already been used by any factions. Reminds me of the Maltese Falcon a bit. -
Book III - Varlyrio: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Muakhah replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
I have a question as I was thinking of ideas for future builds. The other guilds have an animal associated with them, Dragon, Bear, Lion, Serpent. And the queen is associated with the Unicorn. Does Varlyrio have an animal associated with it? -
Another polished floor and wonderful arches. The tree looks crooked and natural and as others have mentioned the roof looks good too. I like the servants gossip too. Interesting to hear a few more details about the queen’s requirements too. We will have to see how people put their spin on them. Also I like the many statues in the niches. Lots of little differences between them. Another polished floor and wonderful arches. The tree looks crooked and natural and as others have mentioned the roof looks good too. Prelude: Always Be Ready To Lend a Helping Shove
Muakhah replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great to see more of Varlyria and it’s different peoples. All of the cut throat deals make it seem a breathing, living world. Looking forward to seeing whether Varylians enjoy the end of their isolation or not. I like the cobbled streets and the decorations on the buildings especially the white building with thin pillars and some exposed brickwork. I am getting quite excited for this challenge! -
The cave rock work, trees and snow are all very nice. I love the clan of Minotaur freedom fighters. The Bovine Liberation Front? The interior is nice too but the gap at the back, while good for lighting, makes the cave look a bit odd. I don’t know if a backdrop there and detachable roof for light would have made for better interior shots. Very good stuff though! Looking forward to a scuffle between the different groups.

Great stuff here. I love how the floor looks polished and shiny but not in a plasticky way. The lighting really has set that up well. The beams and furniture are great along with the little details. The only thing I think might be better is a little more posing to match the story at times. I love the story itself and how difficult it is to balance different groups as a feudal lord. I am currently playing Crusader Kings 2 which has a unique vassal system which is great inspiration for these kinds of meetings and who is responsible or loyal to who. @Basiliscus War is usually easier to get people motivated. But peaceful builds flesh out the world and give the meaning and backstory to the world. I think we still need to have a more settled period before starting the violence again! Plus some of the scheming challenges are good fun too. I like the scope for different entertainments this could provide.

I like the scrub and the path. The blue does seem an odd shade. Not really sure what it represents. I like the posing and the story. I look forward to seeing whether Orsen Waythe and his band will be able to preserve their morals. What will they do when armed traders refuse to pay? Will they become the very vagabonds they defeated?

Awesome atmospheric builds. I really like the current trend people have for detailed and well lit interiors. Love the story and the juicy details of the backstabbing over there. I really want to know more! What will Bernaldo be doing? Will he brush this assasination attempt off or will it invigorate his lust for adventure? Looking forward to the next part.

Nice house with a great interior and details. Love the goats and the chicken coop. The build has a nice range of colors and textures without being too busy.

Knighting Ceremony - The Knights of Sana Argenta - Freebuild
Muakhah replied to mccoyed's topic in Guilds of Historica
Really nice statue that incorporates the symbols of the cult. Knightly orders and brotherhoods allow a lot of scope for different factions and drama. I like the clear blue and white and the posing. I hope we can hear more of the exploits of these knights in the future! -
This looks pretty good. So many gulls! I like the dark sea but as others have said it is a bit too dark for such shallow water on a bright day. If you ever do a deep harbor it will be great. The orange cliff and rocks might work better as horizontal layers. Overall though it’s a very good gull infested scene.

Thanks @Exetrius I’ll make sure I get nocturnians right in the future. Hope you get a chance to use the tile at some point. I’m really glad you like the story. Nothing frustrates me more than books or movies where “genius” characters are stupid. It’s hard to write characters that are believably smart or wise... I’m very happy the dialogue conveys wisdom. It’s better than me just saying he’s so wise. Don’t forget there is nothing stopping you from building more in Nocturnas!

I think my favorite part is the little village by the foot of the castle and the sea.

Very nice overall shape to it. It looks like a very cool hall and stonework. I also really like the story! It’s good to see that other guilds have a bit of internal strife now and again too! I really like the flooring and the carpet patterns. It’s nice to see the overall structure even if the photos don’t show much of it.
