I haven't tried to mod the blade, but I've had the same problem.

Any idea when the next update will be ready, Blakbird? -
[MOC] MegaDozer V1

Nice! Where did the rest of the pieces come from? You incorporated the BWE stickered pieces quite nicely, they look pretty natural. -
Ah, thank you everyone. Those reasons make sense, and I can't believe I didn't think of them myself.

Does anyone know why some of the bags come packaged in the small white box inside of the main box? I haven't been able to think of any reasons.

Two of the 2-long axles and red spacers left over go in the remote to make "joysticks". Other than that, it's a good review. The model, in my opinion, just isn't great. The only thing I would really need from it is the IR receiver. The other PF parts would be a bonus but I really don't need any more tracks.

Sariel, the "extra" two-unit axles and two of the three red spacers go on the remote. They make little mini joysticks.

Have you been able to work on the LDD file yet? -
I like the single bucket mod by eteokles, I've been trying to figure out how to mod a single bucket onto it when I get the time, but a bucket from the BWE rather than the type the Volvo comes with.

Technic 2017 Set Discussion
mattthewise replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm not sure of the proper terminology, but I'm pretty sure it's a jet nozzle that can vector, directing force downwards. Combined with a fan near the front, jets can VTOL with that. Here's an image: -

Agreed. I'd also buy the cargo truck/telehandler combo set, but I'd prefer the stand-alone telehandler. I had originally planned to get the tracked racer, but since it only has M motors, I've decided against it. I already have two battery boxes, an M motor, a remote, and plenty of tracks. I don't need anything from that set that isn't worth just buying stand-alone. -

Which piece are you taking about? The dark gray one connecting the two light gray brackets w/ pin holes? Never mind. I now see that question's already been answered. -

Yeah, an LDD file is enough to figure it out. Well done with the model. -

Was this primarily made out of the 42053? If so, I'd love to have instructions so I can build this myself. -

I have seen that, and downloaded the lxf file. However, I also wanted to build this particular model. -

Not from the creator, he said elsewhere that he sold this set and never made instructions beforehand. -

Has anyone been able to reverse-engineer this MOC from looking at the pictures, or has anyone tried in the first place? I've tried, but as I don't have very much experience with freebuilding with Technic, all I was able to get was the superficial stuff. -
Yeah! This is one of the few sets I have, and I love it when people create C-models for what I've got. As soon as I can get 42038 up to me, I intend to try to build this! It's very nicely done, it looks like the real thing, something I've become rather familiar with over the past two months as they've been all across my college campus. You said get to Bricksafe with the picture links, but what picture links?

I like thick books. It gives a sense of increased value, at least for me it does. It feels like this is worth the money I paid for it, especially for the BWE. It also adds to feeling like a true achievement when you get finished. Plus the book is a bit more durable now that they're being bound instead of stapled.

New Pneumatics Leaking?

Really? Huh, I didn't know that. I've never seen cranes or excavators displayed like that before, so I didn't know that. -

Don't exactly have many spare parts with me here, but perhaps I can use some from 8263 to make something. -

Thank you! I guess that ruins my plan of displaying it boom up, though. Ah well. -
