  2. Amazing! How do you avoid being captured for study?
  3. So how far are we allowed to deviate from the "classic" pirates scheme? Are we allowed to extrapolate the Redcoats/Bluecoats rivalry back to the Stone Age or into the future for comic effect?
  4. I'd like to thank everyone with a little message I prepared a while back:
  5. ...excellent. Stay tuned for a complete thank-you message.
  6. Christmas by HJ Media Studios, on Flickr The Space Marines bringing presents to a deserted outpost. Merry Christmas!
  7. Breaking news: A possible new Collectible Minifig part has appeared which could be used as a Space Marine helmet (and accepts a visor): It's apparently supposed to be a "Paintball Helmet"- but I think it would work perfectly for other purposes. Thoughts?
  8. The little door pieces aren't controls; they're more of a shield like this. There's a standard handlebar piece on the back for controls.
  9. I don't dislike the older APC design; it just had too many pieces for me to keep it in a desirable price point.

  11. A+. I'm so buying hordes (swarms?) of these guys.
  12. Just noticed these on Flickr: The 501st trooper may or may not be a printing error- the Republic trooper's "mouth" also looks high up. Let's hope it's the same deal with the clone.
  13. I'd like the Imperial tag.
  14. I'm away from my bricks at the moment, so a funny picture will have to suffice, offing my least-favorite Jedi: Texting Kills by HJ Media Studios, on Flickr
  15. I'm hoping this could be a good thing. Disney bought out Marvel, and we got the Avengers. And I haven't seen any change in the quality of Marvel's comics lineup; if anything, it's gotten better. Keep in mind that Star Wars is massively popular; Disney wouldn't shoot itself in the foot by attempting to make something that would cause a mass fan revolt.
  16. I would consider January to be part of winter (it sure is where I live!). In the middle of the U.S., the new sets come out anywhere from late December to mid-February, although larger cities on the coasts and some parts of Europe get the new sets somewhat earlier.
  17. Thanks for the shout-out, but I agree that the orange gentlemen are a better pick for a battle pack. Never mind that. I'm spending a Bantha's weight in dollar bills on TOR battle packs. I don't play TOR, but unless the battle packs creep over $15, they'll be great for wargaming with two evenly-matched trooper armies.
  18. I might get the boat for the pieces (military MOCs, anyone?). The rest... I am almost physically repulsed by them. It's like Thundercats mated with Ninjago and the offspring was developmentally challenged.
  19. Updated first post with .
  20. Hmmm... I might get a bunch of TOR battle packs and Bricklink some figures, but that's as far as it goes. I hope the "124 pieces" label on the clone BP doesn't portend another price increase. (It's gone from 10 to 11 to 12 to 13 dollars here in the States.)
  21. A little news alert... something big, and Space Marines-related, is going to go down tomorrow. Be prepared!
  22. I'm still working on the instructions, which I plan to make freely available when I'm done. I'm hoping so. Currently there's 1435 supporters left to go. At an average rate of about 85 supporters per week, that pans out to a little over 16 weeks. I'm planning a special publicity-grubbing surprise, though, so that could go faster.
  23. And now, two huge desktops showcasing a load of vehicles, troops, and cool-looking renders. These are both HD desktops; feel free to download.
