Hi guys, just a quick update but a micro build I am very pleased with! I have wanted to build a micro Falcon for sometime now and this actually took a bit longer than I had hoped but I am really happy with the end result. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Its only 4x4 but I have managed to get in all the details that make the Falcon the iconic ship it is. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The base wasn't part of my original idea but I had the Falcon on a tan plate just as a random support and suddenly thought it would look quite cool if there was a micro Mos Eisley below. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The colour of the Falcon is white because as a kid to me it was always white, the toys might have got the colours wrong but they just stuck with me!

You could try 'The Art of Rogue One' book as well?

Thanks! Thanks! The second moc was really just messing about with some slopes, very quick, very simple build!

Hi guys and happy new year! I wanted to start my posts this year with not one but two micro landscape builds inspired by Jedha. The first is a reconstruction of the Assault on Jedha complete with Hovertank and At-St. The At-St model is an old build but the hover tank is a new design I am really pleased with. IMG_20161221_184332 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr IMG_20161221_213237 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr0 This model is a recreation of a particular shot from the Rogue One trailer, still built on my usual 16x16 base. IMG_20161222_084737 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr My second micro build was inspired by another shot from the trailer and shows a Star Destroyer hovering over Jedha. It's a really simple build and I was only messing about with some tan slopes and came up with this design. The Star Destroyer is the model from the 2015 advent calendar. IMG_20161216_094055 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr IMG_20161216_130700 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Hope you enjoy and please share any feedback. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback guys! I think it really depends on what source you look at! Some At-Acts are a dark orange, some look rust, some look dark tan, some look yellow! If you just google 'at-act' you will see what I mean! Its not OCD, its just correct spelling! I posted this on instagram and spelt that hashtags wrong too...oops! Thanks for pointing it out and if you look closely youll see ive re-edited! Thank you so much! It was great watching the film and actually seeing all the scenes Id created in micro scale come to life on the big screen!

Thanks so much, I really enjoy building at micro scale! Thanks! I was pretty pleased with how these designs turned out!

Thanks! Ive just ordered the scarif bunker set from lego so Im half way to a full size battle scene!
-
Krennic's shuttle and the new scarif bunker, which I am very excited about building!
-
Thanks mate! Do you know what, I went through so many variations of how they should pose, who should go where, which character could where what! In a way the possibility with this is endless! I've also done a version with Luke, liea, Han and Chewie that works nicely too!
-
Thanks very much on both counts! If you are interested I have an Instagram account 'legodimnico' that showcases all my lego photography! ?

Hi guys, so I was somewhat inspired by a recent job where I got to work at the legendary Abbey Road studios! I decided to make my own version of the iconic Beatles album cover using a mix of the new Beatles mini figs (for the yellow submarine) and some of my favourite imperials. DSC_2808 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I call this build 'The Imperial March' DSC_2790 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr 2016-12-19_02-43-14 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I tried to get some of the background detail into this build but felt the car would be the wrong scale so opted to leave it out. IMG_20161120_221651 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr beatles_abbey_road by SimonDubai, on Flickr (and yes I know that Boba and Kylo aren't technically Imperial!)

Thanks for the positive feedback guys!

Thanks so much! It was really simple, not many bricks and a quick build so I would highly recommend having a go! The LDD design version is epic right!

Hi guys, to celebrate Rogue One hitting the screens in the UK I have gone back to my favourite style of building and created this Scarif micro landscape. IMG_20161203_175808 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I have tried to include as much action from the trailers as possible including the AT-ACT being shot with a rocket. IMG_20161212_135327 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr (for those of you who don't know the walkers in Rogue One are a different class from the AT-ATs we are used to!) I have tried to force the perspective on this one so it looks as though they are flying high above the battlefield. As always any feedback would be greatly appreciated too! I hope you all enjoy Rogue One and may the force be with you.

Thanks so much! I recently got a macro lens and have been playing around with it! Suprisingly Vader is actually quite tricky to photograph, took me ages to get a decent shot. Luke on the other hand (pun intended!) was great to capture! Hi there, believe it or not I actually didnt use anything on the cape, it just stayed in that position...in fact its still in that position even after moving the set around! It does look like wire work though, I was pretty pleased with it! As for the beam I simply used a 1x1 brick with 1 stud on the side, then used 5 1x1 bricks with clips for the main beam and attached a bar underneath mainly for aesthetics but I actually found it gave a little support too. Finally at the end I used a 1x1 with two studs on the side to attach the wheel on the underside and then build the main vane structure on top. Really simple but really effective! Thanks for your positive comments too!

Hi guys, so I have been very busy recently with my builds! I have a lot to share starting with this recreation of a classic scene. IMG_20161203_151458 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr This build sits on a 12x14 base. I have tried to recreate the weather vane as faithfully to the film. IMG_20161203_135638 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The Luke mini fig is a custom, which I dont often like using, however the printing work on this figure is outstanding and looks perfect. IMG_20161208_225410 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I am really happy with the technique to make the bridge and think it works really well. IMG_20161207_145604 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Originally I wasn't going to add a backdrop but I think with just the sense of the walls behind the action it helps set the scene even more. IMG_20161204_194619 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway I am really happy with how this has turned out, it was a pretty quick build with just bits and pieces I had lying around! As always though I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions and may the force be with you! IMG_20161204_151421 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr

Hi guys, I thought I would quickly post this mod on a MOC I made. Earlier I had built the end scene from Revenge of the Sith with Vader, The Emperor and Moff Tarkin looking at the death star being built. I was in the process of dismantling it for parts when I suddenly realised that the exact same shot was used in The Force Awakens as well. So before taking it apart I did a quick modification on it to turn it into Kylo Ren watching the Star Killer base fire its super laser. DSC_2497 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr A simple mod really turning the black space and death star backdrop into a red sky with a laser beam. The control panel had a few more lights added as well as some red tiles to mimic the red flare hitting the underneath of the window. Revenge of the Sith - Construction Begins by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Kylo Ren - Star Killer by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr And here is the comparison shots between the two scenes from the films to highlight the similarities... Revenge of the Sith - Construction Begins by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr star-wars-kylo-ren-watches-starkiller-base-firing by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Finally here is the comparison between my MOC and the scene from The Force Awakens. 2016-11-21_02-43-26 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Hope you enjoy! As always I would love to hear your comments, feedback and suggestions.
