Scorpiox replied to Deathleech's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
If you're not going to resell it, just open it. Elrond looks a damn sight better on display out of the bag.- 146 replies

When you started that speech, I was sort of expecting a 'this is not the way forward, violence will only lead to more violence' type thing, but that is just cruel. Somebody put the Fantome out of his misery, or worse, make Sorrow his permanant carer.

I'm sorry, but I seem to have missed those appearing in the quest, could someone please point them out to me?

"Now now, Bruce, calm down. You can have the next supervillain that I freeze with my ice-breath, this one is mine."

Wow, these are absolutely brilliant drawings, Catanas, I'm amazed at your skill to be able to do this. As for some more ones, how about a version of The Riddler? I think that he'd look really great in your style.

Heroica RPG - Quest #49: The Light That Reveals Everything
Scorpiox replied to Etzel's topic in The Heroica Archive
Haldor looks around and scratches his chin. "Hmm, a very good suggestion there, Cronk. Alexis, you have a sapphire, do you not? If Cronk doesn't manage to find a sapphire anywhere over there, you probably could just use yours to put in place for now." If either Cronk discovers a sapphire lying around, or Alexis volunteers to use hers instead, Haldor steps up to give the wheel another good turn. -
I would have to agree with all of that.

I confess that I would never want to go on a quest like that. As exciting as it would be, I'd rather like a better death for Haldor than just being poisoned by a Big Rat, after all the work I've put into him. I can tell you now that Haldor would NOT get on well with Nerwen, if that is her attitude. Being old and well-travelled doesn't immeadiately make her better and more wise than everyone else. I'm afraid that I'm backing Guts in this feud.

Checking to see that no-one is around, Haldor attempts to turn the wheel on the side of the sarcophagus, while be careful not to damage anything. "I'll have a go at getting this thing open, maybe you two should have a look for any kind of inscription." -
Oh dear, it looks as though Nerwen suffers from the same syndrome as Arthur, making serious judgements of a person's life (And even their species) because of single action that they took. Maybe Guts secretly called her a smartarse too.

No More Elrond Minifigures Available?!?

Pre-ordered my Elrond edition on the Game website a few days ago, so I'm looking forward to that arriving soon. Here in the UK, Game is the only retailer offering the exclusive figure, all other websites seem to just show the DLC bonus for pre-ordering.- 146 replies

Haldor never slighted Arthur's beliefs at all, he just called him a smartarse for pointing out little details when Haldor was being half-eaten, and Arthur couldn't take it. Because that is all that matters in an RPG.

Heroica RPG - Quest #49: The Light That Reveals Everything

Haldor hung his head. "Well, what I said to Ansar wasn't the whole truth I'm afraid. I was asleep, but not for the whole night, and at some point when it was still dark outside, I got up to go and find something to eat. I decided to take a shortcut through the Sanctuary to the kitchen, but on my way there, I came accross something horrible. Mandric's body was lying there, not moving, just limp in the middle of the room. Naturally, I went to see what was going on, and if Mandric was alright. As I knelt down to shake him awake, I started to notice that he wasn't breathing at all, and the blood, so much blood, everywhere. It was all over the floor, spreading out horrifically on the tiles, and on my hands, a grotesque dripping redness. I didn't know what to do, I panicked, so I ran quickly back to my bed, being clear to wash off all traces of blood. I know that I should have told somebody, and maybe the murderer might have still been around, but I was scared; I knew that if someone found me there, it could threaten Heroica's relationship with the order for ever. I got up the next morning with you and pretended that nothing had happened." Haldor turned his face away in shame. "I hope that you understand how I feel, Cronk. I want nothing more than to get to the bottom of this mystery." -
Flipz wins today's grand prize! Come on people, we need more Monty Python references!

"Okay then, as long as you're sure that it has no significance in Mandric's death, I won't push you. So Mandric is likely to have upset someone in the Sanctuary then? Thank you for your time, mister, you have been of great help to us." -

"Fair enough, I suppose. But I think that you can probably be of some help to us in our investigation. Have you ever noticed anything at all odd about the gardener, Ansar, while you've been here? He got very irate when we asked him simple questions, and we found some blonde hairs strewn in his shed. Would you have any idea if he has been up to anything lately?" And of Mandric, what was your impression of him?" Haldor scratched his nose. -

Haldor coughed. "No, actually, mister. My friends and I are here to ask a few questions, if you wouldn't mind sticking around. Sir, could you tell me where you were last night?" -
Come on, Flipz, reply to my PM!

Haldor coughed. "Shh, keep your voice down. I think that we ought to go at pay her a visit then, see what she knows..." Haldor coughed again. -

Haldor raised an eyebrow. "You seem rather touchy, mister, after all I did was ask a couple of honest questions. 'It was private', you say? So something did happen after all then? Thanks for your help, Ansar, however grudging it was. Oh, and as for me, I was in my bed, asleep. See, why wouldn't you want to answer me unless you have something to hide, which you've nearly just admitted to me here?" The Nord stepped back and whispered so that only his friends could hear. "Wait, Mandric was blonde-ish, wasn't he? -
A very beautiful creation indeed, yet simple it design and message that it conveys. Living in a town with an Army Barracks just down the road, and seeing the soldiers passing everyday, I appreciate both your MOC and its meaning whole-heartedly.

Hey, people in past quests have gained stat boosts for doing such things. And anyway, the heroes have been told specifically not to read the letter, yet no-one said anything about swallowing mysterious pills!

"So, Ansar, where exactly were you last night? And Is there anyone who can confirm this?" While he waits for Ansar to answer ( ) his question, Haldor takes a look inside the shed for anything of intrest. -

Haldor coughs hoarsely for a few minutes, but then manages to right himself again. The Nord stumbles into the room, taking a look at the various items and objects littering the place. "This looks like a storeroom of sorts, I best take a look in the crates for anything of use to us." While opening and examining the crates one by one, Haldor also checks to see if the weapons in the barrel and on the wall are especially valuable or useful."
