Wow, Everyman is a bastard and a half. Can Haldor murder him, pretty please?
-
Haldor sighed, he was beyond anger. This was just pure treachery, and no amount of rage would calm it. "Go then, all of you. If this is how you feel, then you would have been bugger all use in saving the city anyway. To be honest, Johnny, I thought you were a better man than this. But sadly, I misjudged you, as I have misjudged many things. And you, 'XX', of whom I know little; you are not worthy of recieving Miss Nyx's affections. Zane, I will not waste many words on you, my most biting regret this quest is that I did not bury my axe in your monstrous face back when you were whimpering on the floor, begging for mercy. If you go now, you have all dishonoured yourselves to a level when it would be best just to hide away and quietly die. It's a terrible thing to say, but I hope that you three never make it away from our fair isle. In fact, I would think you deserve a horrible, painful death, alone and unwanted; because you deserted this city when it needed you most. I take no pride in what I say, and I have never wished such horror upon any man before; but to flee Eubric while demons converge and Wren stands at the gate of hell itself? I loath your very bones for that. When the fire has burnt out, and we stand tall in this city as savours and heroes, you will be safe in the knowledge that you turned tail and ran like little girls to save your own pathetic skins. There is no place for you here, you three must go now, nor will there be one once this is all over. This, this is no better than the witch's doing, in fact, this is worse. If you piss off now, you are no friend of mine, and if I ever see your scrawny arses inside these walls again, I'll have your entrails for bootstrings. There is no more to say." The nord ran his fingers agitatedly over the handle of Zoot er Isen.
-
Am I the only one who read Karg's words with a Jamacan accent?
-
Haldor turned briefly. "There's nothing that we have except to think on the bright side, so just calm yourselves yeah? We'll find out when we get there. I'm sure that she can handle herself."
-
I hope that we over in the other parts of the world can expect updates from this quest, it sounds great.
-
Nope, as that would be both illogical to allow and against the laws of physics.
-
"Just one more beast comrades, we can take him. Do not falter!" Haldor charged in alongside his allies against the last remaining monstrosity. It roared and clacked its jaws cruelly, but the nord only roared back a greater fury as he set upon Chaos Beast D from the front row. The berserker blood was up, it was time to end this.
-
I absolutely adore the world map that you've put together Sandy, It's really nice to be able to see all of the lands that QMs have been working on put into perspective.
-
"Again, do not falter friends!" Haldor resumed his assualt on Beast D from the back row.
-
I don't think that anyone has EVER called Haldor by his surname.
-
You forgot my Extra Critical hit and my light-elemental weapon again, Zepher. "Onwards, we can take these beasts!" Haldor resumes his assualt on Chaos Beast D from the back row.
-
Yes, to provide an immunity to the gem's element.
-
Haldor had tussled with these beasts many a time now, they did not scare him in the least. "I shall follow behind friends, these creatures will never make it to their spire!" The nord gripped his axe in both hands and charged towards his enemy, hair flying and his face roaring a battle cry. Once drawing close, the shaman swung his weapon at the nearest of the chaotic beasts, as effortlessly as swiping with a small branch. Chaos Beast D met his strike, from the back row.
-
Wow, Zepher, that Court scene was one of the most epic in all of Heroica! Sad to see Bennetton go, however, he will be missed.
-
Haldor nodded his head. "Aye, I am ready. Miss Nyx, although I regret to know little about you, wish you fair luck in your quarry. If this maniac has, as you say, a kind of liking to you, then I hope you will be successful. But if it appears to go pear-shaped, I implore you to run and try and find our party elsewhere in the sewers, that last thing we want is you to befall an injury when outside of our Veterans' protection. May you fly with Wartan's speed and strike with the strength of Torrik's arm, and as always, be guided by Thoric's judgement to your safe deliverance." Unsure of whether to clap the lady on her back, shake her hand or kiss it, the nord resigned himself to stand awkwardly and then move away. He then turned himself to the other members of the group, hoping that this would not be the last time that he saw them. Arthur still lay quivering on the floor, a nasty sight when the heroes needed all the help that they could get. "I hope that Arthur can sort himself, but I unfortunately have no time to play mother with someone in his position. Shame, we could use him in this upcoming apocalypse." The shaman sighed deeply, and walked over to Atramor. "For what it is worth, I do not blame you for what happened to Triad. She was important to me, and I wish that I could have been there in the end. Maybe if we are able to find this big Pog bastard, there might be enough of his hide left for both of us to decorate our homes."
-
Haldor stood up tall in amongst his allies, feeling the rage subside and calmness return. He ran a hand through his hair and surveyed those he would be fighting, and even dying with. "Here we stand on the verge of all horrors breaking into our world. What ever happens, we must give our every fibre of strength to hold back these things, and preserve what we can of this world. Good luck to you all." The nord gathered his equipment and prepared to head out. This was it. "I will go to these sewers beneth the city to find and slay the chaos beasts, gods condemn them. I will fight until my breath fails and the walls fall down around me. Come, let's hunt some beast."
-
In other news, I really hope that Eric sticks around in the hall for a while, there is so much that Haldor wants to say!
-
I'm not even going to try translating that; ciphers are one thing, but lots of weird symbols making no sense are another. So it is a choice between going to the Court to meet Mephisto, or hunting Pogs in the sewers? Damn, that's a hard choice.
-
Haldor was taken aback at Atramor's recount of the events. Triad, fallen, how was that possible? His shock turned to anger. "Atramor, I've never been one to jump to conclusions or make rash judgements, but I pray that you fought your damnedest best alongside her while she died. She was brave, courageous like no other I have met, please tell me that you stood beside her to her last breath, that you were there while the walls closed in. You owe her this, we all owe her this. You better have done whatever you could, or else they'll be hell to pay. The fact that you live while she could not is hateful to me, I just hope that you did her justice in death." Thw nord finished his piece with a sharp spit on the ground, and turned away. Inside, he could feel nothing but sadness and pain, and this deep loathing that seemed to surround his emotions with bitter hate. His transformation was in swing. "I want to find the bastard that did this, and I want to take his head."
-
Zepher, I want to start seeing some loot in these battles or else I shall cry. Three gold per enemy or 'None' can get wearing after a while. Some consumables would be nice, and some simple weapons maybe, it doesn't have to be just the two options 'Insane artifacts' and 'Bugger all'.

A really shot, and edited very well too! Excellent work, MstrofPppts.

"Glad to have you back with us, Dyric, you might wanna' keep your head outa' danger for a little while. I'll do as Skrall asks and deal with one of these walking carpets, never liked me a Pog anyway." Haldor swings his axe around over his head to gain momentum, and then dashes ahead to clip a foe with the side of his blade. Pongcanis Cleric B, back row.

Top Gun. A good film that I've been wanting to see for a long time. Some absolutely brilliant aerial manouvres back in the day when CGI was non-existant, I have a feeling that if it were made today, there would have been plenty of green screens and very little actual flying. Worth watching, definitely.
-
"We have them close, this is an inconvenience, not a problem. Dyric, we need you to get up and keep at it." Haldor kicks a random object at one of the guards and rushes over to revive Dyric.
-
"Right, now to take some of these fellows out o' the game." Haldor rams his weight into Chimera Guard D from the back row.
