Haldor kicks sand at Wren twice from the front row, like the big man that he is.
-
In the words of Squealer: "Tactics, comrade, tactics!"
-
Haldor grimaces as Skrall goes down, but resolves himself to keep on fighting. "Aye, you're on, Miss Nyx. I'll comply with your plan. Front row twice seems like a good idea to me."
-
I don't think that you rolled for Lucky, or else I rolled a solid four special damages in a row...
-
"The axe'll not make much difference against Wren, so I'd say that you're good for now."
-
Sure, whatever you say.
-
"Brilliant, just damn brilliant. At least everyone is back in their places now. Nyx, nice trick with the beasts there." Haldor felt the comforting throb of Zoot er Isen back in his hands again, and took a long look at the Lady Wren, her voice now crackling with power and insanity. "There are no two ways about it, we've got to clip her wings before the bitch can take flight, so to speak. I find myself painfully aware that I'm one of the few people who can actually take the stupid tart's hit, so that puts me right up there on the line." The nord shakes his head whilst laughing grimly. The Goddess Wren, back row, twice.
-
I consider that a low point in my life.
-
Haldor stands confused as Wren suddenly appears amongst the heroes ranks, and further still when Alexis is fast to revive Arthur in the heat of the battle. "Speaking from the point of view that I haven't got a bloody clue what's going on, somebody ought to go and tell Wren to hit one of the beasts since she seems to be with us for the time being." He then turns to stare at Arthur. "Just because one of us found it in themself to save your skin, boy, and you can spout a load of whatever you like, doesn't mean that we're all good mates now. This does not change anything, Regulus." The nord takes a look at Nyx, the way she was handling things was admirable indeed. "Glad to see that someone is taking care of the situation. I'll come join you." Haldor attacks any beast left alive, twice from the front row.

Pandora's guide to being a tactical genius and awesome, simulaneously.
-
I suggest that Wren attacks one of the beasts this round, and if the effect lasts longer than that, put her up to absorb free hits and let Nyx attack her.

You haven't read Quest #12, have you?

After a little flailing around, Haldor decides that he hasn't quite got the hang of these blades yet, and so steps back for a moment to retrieve his well-used old weapon and return it to service. "It's been a long time, old friend, show me that you've still got it!" The nord continues with his previous action, but with his good old Heavy Rod meeting the battle this time.
-
Fair enough, I guess that the Rod will be able to get some more usage.

I agree, the best way to sort out this problem is by having enemies not drop rediculously high WP weapons. For the current level of heroes, WP:16 is the absolute max I would expect as a drop, or else there is little point in anyone upgrading anything. It's a little difficult for people like me, however, as I really want to keep my plaything as my main weapon for as long as possible despite the lack of a real income and super-strong weapons become all the more common.
-
No didn't, or else I obviously wouldn't have done that action. Is it a knight-only weapon?
-
Haldor simply looked on as Wren unleashed her power on the mistaken Arthur. Part of him wanted to laugh and enjoy the moment, but what he thought was his better side urged him to feel sorry for the boy. Regulus had placed so much of his faith in the witch, and despite his treachery, the nord was sad to see him cast aside by the very thing which he had hoped to protect. The shaman prepared himself for another assualt, but was surprised to notice his beloved axe gone, replaced by two very shark longswords which he held in clenched fists. "Hmm, these I can work with. I'll take the Chaos Beast of life twice from the front row again!" Haldor surged forwards, swinging madly with these odd blades in a frenzy.
-
I agree with that sentiment. That's why I was reluctant to activate my plaything before the quest, as I knew that before long the weapon would simply be outclassed. I want to try my best to keep Zoot er Isen as my main weapon because of its uniqueness, but I'm not sure how long I can keep that up with no permanent income like a rogue class has. I can see how much effort you've put into making Guts the offense steamroller of Heroica, so it must be really annoying for an amazing weapon to just pop up and negate all of your hard work. I also believe that the weapon merging idea might be nice in-practice, as long as it is only usable once per weapon. Right now, I feel that Haldor is significantly weaker than most other heroes due to his lack of ability to inflict negative effects.
-
I have to hand it to Masked. Whilst the party is in turmoil and the whole city's fate hangs in the balance, not to mention her lover turning away from Heroica to support their enemy; Alexis just calmly fires another arrow without saying anything at all...
-
It doesn't have to be boring. Just take a look at Haldor, he has always been a lot more barbarian than cleric, but he got along fine and I have really enjoyed it. Being a cleric doesn't have to involve camping in the back row always healing everybody, unless you want to play it like that.
-
LOL! In other news, I find that weapon swapping special to be both interesting and inventive.
-
Wow, that's certainly interesting. He looks far more thuggish than I had ever imagined. Thanks!

It is interesting to see someone else's interpretation of characters that we all have a mental picture of.

"I can tell you for free that you've made the wrong choice, but it's almost too late now. Whatever happens, you'd be lucky to keep your place in the hall and your ill-deserved title of hero once we've saved the world. Either way, I would hazard a guess that no-one will want to come withing 50 feet of your sorry @rse. You've really screwed this one up, Arthur, you've gone and thrown your whole damn life away because of one foolish judgement. When the time comes and we, yes we, not you, return victorious, you'll have to find yourself a little wee hole to crawl away into; alone." Haldor attacks Chaos Beast I twice from the front row.
-
"Why is it so hard to see what stands right in front of you? Wren serves no-one but herself, and cares for no living man, certainly not you. She is too unpredictable, and thus we cannot allow her to gain the godhood that she desires. She has done nothing to deserve such power, and I can be almost certain that she would abuse it. You are wrong about her, she is so far gone that the witch cannot even control herself. Wren as a goddess? There are few things more frightening than a power-crazed lunatic with unlimited power roaming around the place. You would be a fool to think that you can guess what she will do if we let her continue; so if you're not going to help us actually save the bloody city, I suggest that you either piss off or shut up."
