    How about this: this isn't some limited time offer where they release official imagery a day before and then you're stuck with some small amount of hours to decide whether to purchase or not. For one, the falcon likely won't go anywhere for some time, so you'll have plenty of time to decide for yourself whether to purchase or not. Secondly, there are plenty of people that have been saving since the rumors first started gaining traction this winter; it isn't like this news is sudden. Worst case scenario would be you saved up for it, and ultimately have cash for something else. But this isn't insult on hoth. Flagship star wars (lego, really) product with a nearly perfect base (10179) to start from. This set will be a winner, guaranteed. Lego's reputation is sorta on the line with this one. Minor aside, but I bet we'll eventually hear that hoth was rushed out to pull the falcon or snowspeeder back for further work and that's why hoth looks unfinished

    If you have the whole range, you already sought out MBS, the original lego house and the Billund airport right? Not really any different. and if you're not interested in having the box, bricklinking it will be super easy.

    Perhaps you missed 'second hand', aka used? It isn't unrealistic to expect to find any lego set still currently in production for half the msrp. Heck, people post their crazy finds on Reddit all the time. In the US at least, there are several avenues for clueless parents to sell their children's unwanted toys.

    Are you confusing the UCS falcon with the currently unknown 160E set SVL posted? I haven't seen anyone confirm anything on the latter. The discussion is about winter wave sets, not the oct 1 UCS falcon.

    God, between SH, SW and creator I am in serious trouble myself. And that's not even considering the backlog I haven't bought! i'll take it as a good sign if I'm still dropping all this money even in a "down" year for the SH (LBM aside) stuff. Can't wait to see wave 3! Wonder if they'll even get around to releasing the Alfred poster now?

    I'm no expert in customs as I just started getting into them, but it's my understanding that all Phoenix figs are pad printed.

    Phoenix customs just presold a homemade suit spidey, as a back up in case lego doesn't release one

    That idea set actually cleans up the front grille/fender area much better than the official set in my eyes. 10258 just looks unfinished and/or poorly executed in the bonnet area.

    I can't imagine redoing that every time a new version of a fig comes out. Beautiful though. Do you not have the old Spider-Man minor figs, or just not display them? Feel like you're missing a piece in there!

    Only if you're collecting all the SH sets. If you're collecting the figs, only juniors matter. Personally, micros and juniors are a part of my collection as they're unique figs and I'd regret not having them later.

    So old themes to me are- POTC, HP, Spongebob, Speed Racer, JW, IJ, TMNT, TLR, and Toy Story since I said HP previously I will stick with that as the other properties don't seem that compelling other than maybe TS.

    We'll have to wait to see if it's 1/17 scale or not, right? Nothing on brickfan states anything useful other than "it's coming". Either way, this is a let down for me. Maybe seeing the model will change my mind, but this doesn't scream "buy me" like past offerings.
