  1. Sorry about your past experience online but anyone who has ever worked retail knows that line is a load. It is doubtful Lego is going to change their stance on exclusives so you might as well figure out how important those sets are to you. It is also crazy that Dublin doesn’t have a Lego store!
  2. I would think 204-00-1379 still.
  3. I’m sorry, but where are these rumors about a super expensive Hogwarts? Please share them in the HP2018 thread.
  4. Why do I feel like one of the leakers (@rob-ot5000?) contradicted this list. What are the chances this is fake?
  5. No this isn't legitimate, and while you may have purchase protection, this ends up costing eBay and PayPal money, which ultimately is pushed back to legitimate sellers. Just report these auctions and move on next time please.
  6. 6 sets each of the past two years for a premium niche line doesn't scream forgotten to me. I imagine '18 will follow the same pattern as '17 with the skylines out first, then 2-3 stand alone sets at later points in the year.
  7. Lego repop'ing some of the older figs for promos (bunny suit, gingerbread man, caveman & cavewoman) have definitely hurt value a little bit but I agree with @MAB
  8. New. The set only goes for like 200 and there isn't anything else unique in it (beside control panel). Used it only sells for 20 or so, hardly a deal breaker.
  9. Wow no idea how I forgot about that. Thanks!
  10. Give it time. Just came out so people are paying the premium. I don't think this will end up much different than the last lego house set.
  11. Looks great, will be adding this to the list of instructions to get from you. what set is the red droid head from, or is that a decal / painted?
  12. So you're trying to get one w/o buying the fluff? Some stores are weird like that.
  13. @Mat099 Are all the comic con ones customs? Pretty amazing collection. I'm considering doing DC (already have Marvel) but all those old batman sets scare me with pricing!
  14. It varies. All the stores near me seem to keep them at CS, but others find them at each register. Personally, unless your store is super well run, I would check out at CS.
  15. The only difference is 15573 has the notches in the bottom to allow a stud in the middle, whereas 3794 can only be stacked on a 2-wide base reliably. if you aren't putting the jumpers over buttons, you should be fine.
  16. You forgot BB8
  17. Sad trombone. what a boring fig.
  18. Because you're like me- want to build the set and want it untouched. for that reason I do prefer the open box sealed packs sets, but the premium is nearly as much as sealed anyway. Still, I'll take savings where I can get them.
  19. No confirmation in the US yet but Oct 1 is a Sunday so I would assume then. there is no bricktober '17 thread yet (that I could find), feel free to start one!
  20. This isn't really relevant for the S18 thread. With that said, bricktober sets are gwp (probably 50$ purchase) but some stores will sell you one directly (retail of 20$), and they typically all put them following week to buy. If your store won't sell it outright, you can always buy something to qualify and then return the item and keep the promo at cost if you're concerned about missing it.
  21. What @K_Tiger said, though if your store won't sell you one, buy something that qualifies and turn around and return just it and keep the promo. The receipt just prorates the gwp anyway.
  22. @rob-ot5000 said they are exclusive on pg 406.
  23. I think the problem some are facing (myself included) is the expectation of something rare/unique for the initial release. Just because we haven't heard yet doesn't mean it isn't coming. The thought of missing a coveted rare sw item is an issue if stock is super low at release. if they truly don't do anything, you'll buy it whenever you want/can. But flagship sw AND lego product, should have something to show for the day 1 purchase.
