  1. Has to be Marvel and/or DC. In their IG story, they poke fun at all the recent fake rumours, and since these two themes were the biggest victims of that (and two of the very few themes still without proper lists yet), it only makes sense
  2. We could get some news today Promobricks are teasing a reveal in 9 hours or so on their IG story without specifying the theme. However, they do say it‘s time for real rumours after all the fake ones, so Marvel and DC both fit the description
  3. We might get something today Promobricks will reveal a list in 9 hours. They didn‘t specify the theme, but A) Marvel is one of the few themes left and B) they said after all the fake rumours, it‘s time for some real ones
  4. No, it’s primarily because 1) Gringotts can only really be done justice as part of a D2C set IMO and 2) an extension to DA wouldn’t work all that well without Gringotts. The 2020 set already included the most iconic shops, so a follow-up kinda needs Gringotts to have a similar appeal … I lied. Impatience is also a factor
  5. 2020 is tough to beat, but this will be the best wave to me as well if at least three of the following conditions are met: 76403 is actually based on DH and Yaxley is indeed included 76408 is a playset based on something new (at least not already covered since the start of the reboot) 76405 is a DA expansion with Gringotts Tonks is included somewhere 76407 includes at least one creature (Werewolf/Padfoot) I think the chances are good
  6. I think electricbricks can be trusted on that one. Sure, they miscategorised some Marvel sets as DC, but there’s no reason to assume the codenames to be incorrect Unless we hear otherwise, I consider 76408 to be a playset. Too bad we don’t have a piece count yet as further evidence
  7. If I‘m not mistaken, it was electricbricks that had it labelled as such I would thus assume it‘s a playset
  8. You‘re not entirely off the hook yet Seriously though, this sounds fantastic! A $100 set based on DH part 1 (hopefully) is not something I would‘ve expected. After 12 years, finally! I would say screentime and iconicity should definitely factor into the largest HP set ever concocted That honour should be reserved for something that‘s instantly recognisable and even casual fans would want to display
  9. Can‘t say I expected 5 minifigs here, let alone the 5 most important ones This renders the other set almost superfluous now!
  10. True, that could also be the case Stonewars have added their own descriptions (based on the same catalogue images of course): https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-harry-potter-sommer-2022-erste-details/ Interestingly, they seem to be convinced that Yaxley is included Also, the Horntail doesn‘t appear to feature the same wing-flapping mechanism as the previous two creatures, they say
  11. I doubt a hairpiece from a September set would leak this early
  12. That makes absolutely no sense. Not only do companies not operate like that, why would they need a silly excuse like that to buy another company They just do
  13. Highly doubt that. How many more renditions of the Great Hall do we need? We have two minifig-compatible versions already plus the microscale one. Also, great way for TLG to shoot themselves in the foot by releasing yet ANOTHER Hogwarts system, sabotaging the current one
  14. Thanks Still can‘t get over that, I mean Thor is obviously a name, not a title Sure, Thor has an alias in the comics and „Thor“ serves as his superhero moniker, but it’s still his actual birthname too I can imagine them poking fun at that in the movie, seems right up Waititi‘s alley
  15. Prominent? It appears in a single scene and has less than a minute of screentime Doesn‘t exactly scream „ultimate set material“, does it Not a bad idea overall, but how on Earth would you display something like that
  16. I’m pretty surprised they already reveal that set, so it’s released late April I assume? Who else do we expect to show up in that set? Korg & Valkyrie?
  17. I’d take a $470 Quidditch Pitch set as a personal insult “What could be the thing that represents the magic of HP so well it deserves to have the largest HP set ever be based on it?” “I know, the pointless filler ball game!” Yeah, Quidditch ain’t my thing. I don’t mind sets like the ones we got in 2010 or 2018, but please keep it far away from any D2C sets To me, a $470 Quidditch set would be equivalent to a $1000 Star Wars set based on Dejarik
  18. PotC was brand new in 2011 and had $80 and $120 sets in its first wave, and so did other new themes. Avatar II can’t be ruled out purely based on that Promobricks mused that when the info first dropped. BriQ Foundation aren’t leakers themselves as far as I know
  19. Two of the sets are $40 and $60 respectively, doesn’t sound like potential 18+ sets to me Besides, we‘ve never had a full wave of 18+ sets for any theme so far While I personally think Coconut is Indy based on what the leakers have said, Avatar II can’t be ruled out. Seems like a pretty normal price range to me
  20. Coconut is most likely Indy I don't see why the prices should factor in
  21. I'm really conflicted about the MoM's minifig selection, the more I think about it. There are three options in my mind: It's purely based on OotP: the "Dementors" are Death Eaters, "Lucius" really is Lucius, Umbridge is in her Wizengamot attire and the mystery figure is Tonks It's purely based on DH: the dementors really are just that, "Lucius" is Yaxley, Umbridge is her DH version (perhaps with printed locket) and the mystery figure could be Scabior or Thicknesse It's a mix of both I have no idea which is preferable. What I want the most are Tonks, Death Eaters, and Yaxley, but those rule each other out
  22. So more evidence it's based on OotP Hope we get more details soon! The minifigs probably won't leak for another month, so this will do
  23. Well, what is it then, if the probability is 70%? Buildable objects? We’ve just had those. Microscale build? Nothing iconic enough left. A Hogwarts add-on is pointless considering what’s left is nowhere near as recognisable as what the 2018 set included Brick-built character/creature? The most important human character (Harry) and most iconic creature (Hedwig) already got that treatment last year. Vehicle? Nothing except HE justifies that pricetag, even a Ford Anglia would be a third of that price at max Minifig-scale? Makes the most sense, and the most obvious choice in this category is a DA expansion There aren’t any other categories. It has to be an object, a character, a creature, a vehicle, a microscale build, or a minifig-scaled one. Or do you suggest it’s a physical manifestation of a fuzzy metaphysical concept straight from the hyperuranion?
  24. I hadn‘t even thought about which movie Dumbledore‘s office could be based on! OotP would make a lot of sense for multiple reasons: OotP is the only film pre-DH without its own Hogwarts expansion yet Cho‘s presence (even though it could be the same situation as with Luna in the CoS last year, as others have pointed out) A rerelease of Gambledore in his blue robes is overdue. This version is still exclusive to CMF S1 As others have said, the three professors included would make a lot of sense, and OotP has many Filch scenes. How about a disgusting alternate facial expression after eating his gift?
  25. I think the previous list had 76407 and 76408 both labelled as „playsets“ So what was this Dobby business about? Don‘t tell me the D2C is actually a statue of him or something
