  1. New cantina set? Very out of left field
  2. They probably deploy more as they're more powerful machines
  3. Fair enough, I'm still new here so wasn't aware. Will be a very interesting set to say the least. Maybe a new T-47 means a new AT-AT in the future?
  4. In store it was limited to 1 per household. People could obviously easily lie and get more than 1, but they were asking people in the queue if they lived together.m, and would only let people have 1 of the numbered cards for the Falcon
  5. I've not seen any evidence for this rumour, I don't think people should speculate too much over it. The likelihood is that the speeder is the Last Jedi one
  6. On Facebook Lego said that they would not be released separately
  7. At first I was very much in the mindset of this definitely not being a set I would pick up due to the size and price. But I think this does have potential to go well with the other 'Joker'-themed playsets like Jokerland and the funhouse escape, which is what I use for my main Batman display. I'll wait to see how this set looks in the flesh when they have it on display in store.
  8. Like the Helicarrier, it is styled like a UCS set, with the respective specs sticker, but it is not branded as UCS. UCS is indeed only Star Wars.
  9. The falcon is 26m in diameter, not length. The Falcon is 34m in length. The scale is slightly off but close enough that they work well together on display
  10. Harry Potter is essentially what got me into lego, one of the first sets I remember building is the original Hogwarts Express. i missed out on the 2010 reboot, I came close to getting he forbidden forest and really regret not getting it but I hope this new wave gives us a good selection. perosnally I would like to see: the 1st Tournament - have a brick-built Horntail, or just more along the lines of Smaug, along with the egg, Harry and maybe a stand for figures to watch. I imagine this being a smaller set focusing on the dragon Hogwarts Express - a UCS level build of the express with power-function capabilities, along the lines of Emerald Night the Forbidden Forest - An improved version of Aragog (the 2010 one was terrible) and some smaller spiders, along with the flying Car The Chamber of Secrets - huge set with a brick-built Basalisk the Knight Bus - a newer version Gringots Bank - the main bank floor with some of the new rollercoaster track to lead to Belatrix's vault. Featuring the Ironbelly with a way for it to smash through the floor
  11. He means no news. sometimes people read into leakers' posts waaayyy too much
  12. I think he meant the stiffer fabric works better, not the spongy material. i like having the newer type capes for some things, like when character's need to be in vehicles or have long hair pieces, but I prefer the stiffer capes for display. And the newer material really wouldn't work on something on a minifigures waist, like coattails, it will protrude way too much.
  13. Really don't like the look of that set, I can't for the life of me figure out where those 3000 pieces are going. I'm sure it will look more impressive in person, but at the present it just looks like an Arkham-sized playset. After the fantastic previous Lego Movie D2C sets; Metalbeards Sea Cow and the magnificent Ninjago City, this does feel like a bit of a let down to me. but then again, after Ninjago City and the Millennium Falcon, I don't really need to be spending another £250 on a set! So I guess it's a win for me!
  14. The TIE defender would be a must for Rebels, they could also use the theme to bring us a Sal Gurera (probably speaks wrong sorry)
  15. Fair enough, I would rebut that the bomber actually looks different, I think it evokes the look of the Medical Frigate from episode V in much the same way the TIE evokes the Interceptor Fair enough, I would rebut that the bomber actually looks different, I think it evokes the look of the Medical Frigate from episode V in much the same way the TIE evokes the Interceptor
  16. The TIE is the only interesting set in my opinion. I don't get this love for the bomber, it just looks plain and boring to me and the colour scheme is that weird grey and blue from the X-Wings. I'll pick up the TIE and BB-8 when they're on sale. Maybe the AT-M6 if it's awesome in the movie.
  17. I have pictures of them both together but I'm not 100% sure on how to upload them? That picture that's been floating around of the previous Falcon with the Slave 1 looks wrong to me, the Slave 1 is very good with the Falcon in my display
  18. Well I kept a my stopwatch app by me the entire time and only paused for breaks. Mine came to 12hrs 26 minutes but I'd give or take half an hour of that for some breaks that I didn't pause for and forgetting to press play straight away, but i never went a stretched amount of time without the stopwatch going whilst building.
  19. Something interesting to note is that in stores the Falcon is limited to one per household, atleast that's what the employees told me when I bought mine, they were asking customers if they lived together.
  20. I'm not with my Falcon right now so can't take any pictures, but Its mostly studded, rather than the underside of bricks
  21. I'd love to know how long it takes others to build it. I watched a video and a team of four guys took 12 hours to do it together and stated it much be a record, but that's the amount of time it took me on my own. Either I'm fast or they're slow I just wanna know!
  22. I have put a semi-review of sorts in the 2017 thread and also a small comment here, but they kind of got lost in all the talk about supply. when everyone's got theirs the topic should evolve into discussing the kit itself again
  23. There are 4 main empty sections inside the Falcon's main body, both on the right side of the ship (looking from the front) are used for interior areas. The forward left area is used to house the blaster canon feature, so could be removed easily for interior space. The rear left side is completely empty and has a studded floor area that could easily be used for interior. another way this area can be used is to store the spare satellite dish and accessories for the mandibles, something I am using them for. I think that should of been something they advertised as it's quite handy to keep them hidden away.
  24. Already posted in the press release topic but finished my Falcon after 12 hours, and boy is this set worth it in my eyes. It is absolutely magnificent, I'm just terrified I've done anything wrong in it as it turned out I missassembled the cockpit and couldn't fit in all the figures! im not good at reviews, but I'll give a quick good and bad review of the set: Good: -long build that doesn't feel too repetitive, uses plenty of interesting assemblies to keep the build entertaining -the interiors are small but really well done, they are not as messy in person as the pictures made them look, they look very displayabke -the thing is just huge! -the box presentation and overall care and quality of the set is just impressive, from the quotes on the white boxes to the amount of greebling that doesn't even repeat that much and uses a lot of unique pieces in different places, this set is how Lego should be for something in the Collectors Series. Bad: -some points in the assembly were difficult, notably when connecting large assemblies together I had some issues. When attaching the front 'slope' for example a 1x4 brick fell into the skeleton of the Falcon and I had to take all the panels off and tip the whole thing up to find it! -cockpit is a bit of a squeeze for the minifigures -a bit flimsy to move around, but to be expected with the size overall this set is by far the best Lego set I have ever purchased and definitely best UCS set to be my first! You guys are not going to be dissapointed with this one!
