  1. I tweeted lego asking whether the Brickheadz will reach the U.K., really sucks if they don’t.
  2. There was a list of sets that was very quickly confirmed false with that on it. I’m gonna say this rumour is false, but you never know, we got a surprise 6th Set last year with the Hogwarts Express.
  3. Yeah, the Lego Doctor Who stuff was atleast 2 years too late, after the 50th Anniversary the show really declined in popularity. And changing trends in the toy industry. And the terrible handing by their major licence holder, Character Options, have led to toy based merch making basically no profit and the shops being barren. however, series 11 had the highest viewing figures since series 1 back in 2005, so who knows what could happen.
  4. There’s some info in this topic that says it sold less than than expected
  5. That’s a brilliant idea
  6. Because it shelf warmed like crazy. Doctor Who hasn’t been a popular merchandising property for a long time. It’s own official toyline hasn’t even had a wide release wave of figures since 2012, retailers just can shift ‘em. Lego may have done marginally better, but people just aren’t interested.
  7. Yeah, we already have a Lego movie batman Brickheadz, so I can see why they wouldn’t do it. i don’t know why they don’t do more waves for the same themes though. Tbh shirt loving waves through Lego shops themselves might be the way to go to bring popularity to the line, if you want them you can go hunt them down like Funko pops. i really like the new ones, sweet mayhem looks really awesome, and I’m really glad we are getting emmet and wyldstyle (interesting they’re calling her as such here) and who can say no to Benny? i really hope we get more Brickheadz. I’d love Thor and Hawkeye to round off the avengers, and Spider-Man and Mysterio from FFH would be awesome. Maybe some classic Jurassic Park characters, Alan Grant and an original raptor would be great.
  8. We pretty much have a 1989 batman and joker. The black version of batman is not really any different to the one from that movie. And the joker in the steamroller Set is pretty much Nicholson. id rather we just get comic based ones, don’t like that film or the designs at all
  9. So it seems that the line is not dead after all. Pics of Lego Movie 2 Brickheadz are in the usual places. Emmet, Lucy, Sweet Mayhem and Benny
  10. It is a separate line, but that doesn’t mean that this is our first ‘official’ clayface, or first twoface since 2012. The ones in TLBM wave are official, and are representations of the characters
  11. I was kinda expecting a more substantial build for the dropship, considering the higher price and piececount, it uses a lot of the same techniques, just some updated pieces and colours. It’s nice, just now what I hoped for. @Daddy_Stardust the stories aren’t the 2014 variant, they have the 2018 helmets
  12. The clayface Set is the Batcave. It’s title is ‘clayface Batcave Invasion’ Or something similar
  13. Well that game is just a zoo simulator, so there's not really much in there that hasn't been in regular sets alright, like capture vehicles and paddocks
  14. Well to be fair it is live right now, they don’t have time for descriptions, I’m sure later today or tomorrow there will be write-ups of the descriptions, right now they can only take notes during the presentation
  15. Well the mid legs are going to be used for Padme in the animal podracer Set, so they will probably be used
  16. They all look amazing to me. Slave 1 is the only one I won’t get, because, well, UCS version I mean c’mon. But love the rest of them
  17. The only issue could be that the bary is a lot smaller in the movie than the spino
  18. They could make one body, head and tail for both the Spinosaurus and Baryonyx. Just add a sail piece to the spino
  19. I don’t know, I’m just saying they could do. I just really don’t know what in a visitor centre would appeal apart from a more accurate text and Minifigures. If they include the gates and jeeps then sure. and exactly, the silent Mary has been on ‘retiring soon’ since early December and has only recently sold out on shop@home U.K., it’s not that popular a set.
  20. I don’t think they did sell well, both retired rather quickly and took a very long time to sell out, in the U.K. atleast. Furthermore, I never said all D2Cs need to be iconic, minecraft sells well in general. Pirates was popular back in the day and people love ships, and Disney probably told lego to do a set for the movie. But look at jurassic Park, Lego has been very reluctant to do sets based on the previous movies, despite multiple ideas sets getting enough votes, and the theme being very popular. If they’re gonna do a big set to satisfy everyone, they’re gonna make sure it’s the most iconic and recognisable stuff, I just don’t think the visitor centre is that. I don’t know, I still don’t think the visitor centre is though. I adore the first movie, it’s in my top 5 movies and I think it’s a prefect film, but I really don’t care about a visitor centre, I really don’t understand some people’s want for it. The gate, the T-Rex breakout, the cars, that’s whats iconic. even if it is the centre, how exactly will it be 3000+ pieces with just the building, there isn’t exactly much to put inside. The kitchen and computer rooms are currently in a set, and all you have left is the tour chairs and the t-Rex skeleton room. I doubt that would make 3000 pieces. A set with the gates, both tour cars, the jeep, a bit of fence for the T-Rex to break out of, the toilet block, maybe even the raptor pen, could scratch that piece count I reckon.
  21. I really don’t think the focus will be the visitor centre. It’s not really iconic, won’t appeal to the general audience. There might be a visitor centre build in there, but it’s not the whole thing, a facade at best
  22. Not really any reason not to share, leakers are allowed
  23. 3120 pieces! I was expecting a <2000 piece set. Sounds way too big for a visitors centre, unless it’s a full on ‘jurassic Park’ ultimate set - visitor centre façade, T-Rex paddock, 2 tour cars and the jeep, would be amazing. It’s got to be a Jurassic Park Set thought right? They need that collectors market to push the sales that little bit further. Dinos for kids, original movie for the grownups forking out the money.
  24. The last set was in 2010, lego has had huge, huge hugggeeee improvement in design engineering and pieces since then, notably meaning higher piece counts. The bus itself could easily be 600 odd pieces.
