Yeah it’s really weird how the box art shows them in costume, yet Iron Man is the only one we’re getting... its kinda laughable how everyone is in the white suits bar hulk, how do you drop the ball that bad? To be honest I’ve come around on Igor a little. I get why they chose that piece for the face, not really much else they could have done, it just isn’t great. But atleast it’s not as big as the hulk busters, with a little modifying it could look pretty nice. i really like the armour room set, the Minifigures are great. 3 brand new iron man suits with full printing, a mech suit which they didn’t even need to do. An extra mark 50, which is fine, and then some outriders to add to the army. Plus a tiny head. That’s 6 figures in the Set plus a mech, alternate head and Dum-E is pretty great someone said earlier Dum-E comes with a party hat, it’s actually a dunce hat that he has in iron man 3 I think? It’s an Victorian English school thing

The guy who originally leaked it said he’d had a few things he’d leaked shot down before being confirmed and widely reported weeks later, like the boost R2-D2. Maybe this is true

The cap bike set is fine: cap is a good figure and I’m happy getting more outriders for my Wakanda display. the War machine buster looks bad, which is a shame after the infinity War Hulkbuster looked alright. Ant man’s helmet is appealing, but nothing else the hall of armour is pretty good. Repetative yes, but it’s something I’ve wanted for a long time, and I never thought they’d do it for that very reason. All the iron Man armours are great, and a third mk50 means the other 2 can stay in their Wakanda/sanctum displays. Igor is bad, but better than I expected. And I won’t say no to the outriders the Quinjet is a fantastic build. Wish it was the grey of the original, but it’s good. Minifigures are awful the compound is a knock-off police station with superheroes shoved it. Really looks like a knock-off Set that’s just smashed a city set with superheroes to sell it. They couldn’t even give hulk the white suit. Worst superheroes set ever (and I’m including marvel, dc, TLBM and batman in that) atleast even the iron man 3 sets had good figures.

People always cite that set as proof that marvel sets aren’t accurate. But that set is 6 years old, and since then they’ve pretty much only put stuff in the sets that are actually in the films. The only exceptions I can think of is the Iron Man vs Ultron build, the civil war tanker (and yet there were still tankers in the film), the walandan wall (and yet it depicted accurate scenes). And that’s about it. They’re pretty much accurate now, it’s weird that they have suddenly decided to fill this wave up with obvious fake vehicles.

I don’t see why they can’t just shove it into any part of the building. Yeah we kind ahad a desk in the great hall set, but that doesn’t mean they can’t make a bigger, more detailed one in the future. I mean if they’re sticking the Yule ball somewhere else then continuity clearly isn’t an issue

I sure am looking forward to seeing Iron Man drive that car in the climax of the mcu!

The hall of armour set looks pretty good imo, perfect for displaying those older suits. The igor mech is not great though, the face is awful. thas compound set though... that is one of the worse sets I’ve ever seen, the box art makes it look like a Chinese knock-off. It’s so horrid, I hope nobody buys that. Can not get over how bad it looks this wave is by far the worst wave for superheroes ever. The only set worth getting for the build is the Quinjet, The Hall is alright. But the rest just look terrible like 4+ Sets. The only good Minifigures are in the armour room. I’ve bought every single marvel release since 2012, but I think I’ll get maybe 2 of these sets.

Interesting to note that actually almost all the figs in the endgame sets have leg printing, I guess the reuse of heads and the quantum suit just makes it less noticeable. I know it’s a bit early for 2020 talk, but with the most likely movies being Black Widow and the Eternals, does anyone think we’ll see some comic based sets? I can’t see them making many sets for those movies

hopefully this means we get the TLBM headpiece for catwoman in Black! isnt it kinda crazy that we’ve had 3 different moulds for catwoman over the years? theres also some zombie type head going around, is that from Hidden Side? Or is it maybe Solomon Grundy?

I really don’t understand all this ‘they wouldn’t release two graveyards at once’ a Lego styled graveyard with app features and ghosts is alot different to a licences theme depicting a scene that just happens to be in a graveyard. It’s lile saying they wouldn’t release a Lego city lighthouse at the same time as the scooby doo one, or saying they can’t release a train in the hidden side line because there’s a similar type train in city. it’s apples and oranges EDIT: also, why wouldn’t lego want to make GoF death eaters? The Tomb defender people in one of the Indiana Jones sets had the exact same masks

I believe the Hogwarts Express May have originally been intended as a TRU Exclusive. However, much like other sets last year like the Jurassic World T-Rex Transport, it just got a kind of staggered release. in the uk, it was initially only at Argos, much like T-Rex Transport was Exclusive (to John Lewis think?). But then became available elsewhere gradually, and now pretty much everywhere sells it EDIT: disclaimer, just my own thoughts, not backed up by anything

Woa, 2 more sets? Perhaps one is the graveyard duel? If it was however, both voldemrort and Cedric from that scene were in the CMF. maybe one of the sets could be based on movies 1&2? I know the wave is mostly 3&4, but we only got 4 sets based on the first two movies, there’s still a lot of potential there. I hope another part of the Castle is included somewhere

Probably never gonna be released here, none of the other packs have. The U.K. and I think Australia are the only major markets that haven’t gotten the bricktober packs. It sucks.

In terms of toy merch, there was a big drop off in smiths era, around series 6. The action figures were their biggest merch sellers, but they just stopped selling due to bad descisions from the company, and after that they’ve tried to bring the range back, but with a lot of failure. During the 50th anniversary there was a huge spike in general merch, and it all sold very well, but as soon as matt smith left the show it dropped again. The next spike was in 2015, with Lego Dimensions, the Set, funko, the action figures even made a return. But in the gap between series 9&10, the sales dropped yet again. Series 10 had the lowest viewing figures ever, and merch was very sparse for the series; a few posters and t-shirts. But funko, Lego, action figures etc. All produced nothing. series 11 have bright back interest in the show, and, judging by the respective toyfairs, there will be another spike in merch this year, leading up to the next series in 2020.

The indominus and indoraptor heads are very unlikely to be released again. Their respective dinos are dead in the franchise and probably won’t be put into sets in the future, unless they decide to remake sets from the last two movies for some reason. The same goes for the flash, it’s unlikely to be used in a Set again, we’re a long way off from another flash movie, and he’ll likely have a different costume id say it’s extremely unlikely the gauntlet will be used again. It is available in sets that are still on sale.

There’s quite a number of pieces they’ve only used once. The monkey guys double arms in the solo set, quirra’s hair in the solo set, the sorting hat in Harry Potter is unlikely to return, the justice league movie flash’s helmet, indominus Rex’s head, indoraptor head. theres honestly tons of pieces used only once in lego, especially in the Star Wars line.

Cap set - boring Minifigures and bad vehicle, only appealing thing is cap’s helmet. war machine set - buster looks oversized and blocky like all the others, will probably moc my own version. Only appealing minifig is ant man for the mask. iron man set - Igor will definitely be too big and block, but it’s nice we get him. Hopefully it will be a massabke Set to add older suits. The minifigs all look great for this set though, so happy with that quinjet - the build is incredible, best Quinjet yet, shame about the colour though despite movie accuracy. No minifigs see appealing here compound Battle - unless we have a brand new captain marvel, none of those figs are appealing at all, even micro ant-Man. The build will probably be comparable to avengers tower (so bad) and the helicopter and off-roader just means less pieces spent on the compound. overall, probably the worst superheroes wave ever, only one good build so far (the armoury has potiential though) and like 3 desirable Minifigures. Will probably get them in 2020 for half off EDIT: must say though, it’s cool we can add 7 outriders to the wakanda battle display, I don’t mind that at all

Calendar comes from reliable leakers, CMF is speculation, not even rumour at this point

No idea, it was a fine head But they saved so much money on prints this year, why not introduce some new stuff.
