  1. It does look great in red! The lettering for sure, the lining maybe not so much! The red certainly gives it more of an "alternative 1985 BTTF 2" feel. I like it!
  2. That wheel as microphone is pretty darn genius too!
  3. Thanks a lot! Doing my best to top it, but very hard to do...
  4. Thanks man! For long I thought we wouldn't ever get again a modular in the PR/TH/PC... way. One only building. The only thing good about this. This makes my modular not look so out of place now. Btw, I should update its interior with the new curved window/mirro from Joker Manor. The pictures make it look depressing though, the colours of their pictures look so horrendously dull! I've just finished a new modular, hopefully posting it soon! Just need some rendering to be done!
  5. Not at all white would've totallt ruined it. And the interior of the gym... not great.
  6. That second picture is much better! Now this looks like something I would even consider buying! Just some of my observations: There's a glass overhead cover at the rooftop or something of that sort. The jukebox bit on its back are curved panels and stick onto the roof. The stairs are floatin'!? They love It or sth!? Looks like they've used the mirror piece again inside the Diner (or shall we start calling it DD?) It's skinny! And on the second floor it gets even skinnier! Still got no clue how they've sticked those arches for the windows there. According to the second picture (the stacked floors) the part where the "Diner" logo is doesn't seem to have covering. Shame they didn't continue the roofline pattern all around the building this time they could've. And lastly... Seems like there's a pipe running down the side of the building right around the corner (or at least there's a long black blob) Looking forward to it! **btw, name already changed on Brickset to "Downtown Diner"
  7. That is one pretty thing to be proud of! You'll make all of us seem terrible useless builders! Having been to Montreux this summer, I must say that in Lego it works better than in real life. And that façade that would face the sea with all the terraces and balconies. You got me there! Particularly love the curved grey "greenhouse" thingy, it looks super and all the white decorations on top of arches and entranceways also look mind-boggling Congrats!
  8. It really is horrendous. It looks like a pice only a minidoll would hold. I would actually be pretty mad if they replaced the new one for the old much more neutral and versatile piece. Just woundering, the old flower stud had the magical powers of being able to be placed one right next to the other due to the four leves. Wondering if the new one with five leaves will fit. If it does, the petals would certainly have to be significantly shorter. Welcome! It's real, that police station thingy is some stupid rumour that has been running around for the last, at least, three years.
  9. You read my mind, sir! It seems like it might've been his idea, but somebody else brought it to life. It looks somewhat unJamie-ish, I really don't know what it is. One thing's for sure, Jamie did propose the usage of the Beetle's bow piece, he already said he'd given the idea of using it on the London Bus... And nobody out of Creator has made a recolour (tempted to say "has used it", but I'm almost certain some 2017/18 Elves sets use it)
  10. Two extra little things: 1. If you take closer inspection, it seems that where the exterior staircase is, there seems to be a third façade hiding behind. 2. The interior of the first floor is a gym, hence the weightlifts (using the same piece than AS's café's oudoors tables).
  11. I did do a modular MOC called "Italian Villa" that had the same issue. Half the building sat behind where the pin is. I just placed a cover for a little garden chainlink fence. Oh, and somebody has been talking about hew flower studs... Where? On the potted plants? They look like normal hollow 1x1s to me!
  12. Could be the case too! Upon further inspection, the façade is made out of tiles. Now I'm wondering how the tiles between windows are placed. There's just one brick! Either a new piece that is like BB's for the ground floor coloumns but horizontal (the this brick but horizontal) or the good old classic Headlight brick on its side. The second one, though, wouldn't allow flooring right against it... And since this is real, as somebody posted, it's on Brickset's database, how are the floors removable? Someone mentioned clips and pins to hide the joint, but I don't get what you mean. Also, another option would be having the floors being removed like the roof on the Kwik-e-Mart.
  13. Google translate at its best! Don't wanna ruin your party, but although this looks real, "streetview" is the-chinese-brand-that-shall-not-be-named's name for modulars.
  14. I don't adore this, but the rooftop details seem very Jamie Berard TM we've encountered from PR on. If one thing I like it's that roof with that clamp/bracket piece upside down. And a modular without windows in the sense of frame+glass!? The ones on the top floors look... No idea what that is, really.
  15. Sand Yellow is just TLG's name for Dark Tan!
  16. On two minds about this: First, it doesn't have separation between floors, buuuuut.... If somebody made this up, honestly, props to them, the numbering is correct, the colours look half decent, the lettering is nice... I wouldn't buy it though, and those non-smiley faces....
  17. Reminds me of Robert's Old Fishing Store and all the collection, only yours is less on a comecial scale and a straight out wonderful MOC. And studs as water works as great as it's ever worked. Oh, and the layout of that Olive Green building is seriously impressive. My favourite of your houses!
  18. That looks pretty darn great. No need to panic, take it chill and never swallow huge news like a new modular building. You have to savour it. And Post Office. I see no reason why they wouldn't go with it. Something along the lines of the last pre-credits scene of Monsters University would be pretty cool. You know, tons of letters packed, cardboard boxes stacked everywere... If that turns out to be true, I see no Post Office in one of those orange or yellow buildings I envisioned And since the last two modular names have been Lego puns, we could suggest ideas for a Post Office! Mine's "Tile Lettering Enterprises", suggest yours, that could be fun!
  19. My first modular is actually based on a German townhouse I saw on this exact village, Rothemburg ob der Tauber. I've also recently been to Bern, which also has these towers, but with trams running underneath them! As a feature in a modular, sure! I see no reason why it couldn't be part of a modular. A threat some weeks ago was actually a modular that had a tower, but on the background, with two buildings cornering it. We saw the leaked price tags. It's coming, don't worry so much about it. You know what, instead of checking for news every couple minutes, make your own modular, you'll realise how much hard work and deep thought goes into them. Not only architecture and colour-wise. One of the toughest aspects to get right is proportions (of the buildings, height by width ratio) but even more importantly to get right are the position of the buildings over the street. Making a wall 6 or 8 stud-wide is a big deal, as it limits your possibilites in terms of windows, framing, details... And unless you've made some modulars yourself, you don't have a clue how hard it is to make something than nobody, literally nobody notices. But if it's incorrectly done, then you go... Hey! Something's off here! But what? Yeah, I know I'm just rambling, don't mind my ponitless chatter.
  20. I did see that on some leaked preview images of Ninjago sets! So exciting!
  21. Thanks man! . Btw, as bonus, I do own BB and is a rather regrettable buy in my opinion. But next to DO, it looks super, so... it's acceptable. AS is way better in every single aspect. Though I've never digged the middle building, at least it has some of the coolness BB lacks. And building in that coolness onto a modular is not that hard at all, just take a look into the real world, try to recreate some things Lego-ize them and just pack the modular, basically!
  22. Just occurred to me, with the super awesome new chinese bowl mould, they could now one of those shops full of porcelain cups, dishes (they did print the dish piece once for a CMF, I think), vases and lamps. That would be an absoulte joy of an interior. Sounds great! You've just read my mind. Aaaand, I'm still betting for Tuscan/Emilia Romagnan style yellow/orange houses with all their shutters!
  23. Adding to my previous point, there has never been a pitched roof facing the street in a modular building. Maximum Market Street, but that's the closest we got. By "facing the streets" I mean opposite to the direction PR roof's goes (back to front instead of left to right). There could also be added some dormers with their tiny little roofs and windows. That'd be pretty cool . Also, a never-tried concept in a modular is setting the house some studs away from the street. That would allow one of those ultra amazing wrought iron fences running around the perimeter of the house, and a small garden acting as a front yard. Something like this thing I built around summer in a week or so (not sure I've showed this anywhere, maybe I haven't). For the record, this is based on Casa Vicens, by Gaudí, in Barcelona.
  24. Surely, that leaked price tag was $160, so has to be a 32x32. Now you're all going on about rehashes or big Post Offices/Hospitals. Don't really think so. Something in the lines of DO or PR is what's more or less to be expected. There was quite a popular thread some months ago called "Bootblack Street" if I remember correctly. Also another one more recently called Old Town Pub I think. Both show how a 32x32 modular is meant to be done nowadays. 2 even 3 buildings maybe one hiding behind an alleyway, feeling warm and enclosed, having lots of nice "photo" opportunity places if the building existed in real life, with a middle floor that is infinitely repeatable and intricate roofing. Would love if they did another sloped roof. maybe not in PR's style but differently. Those are seriously lacking. We got enough loaded up with flat roofs every year, for a change it'd be great.
  25. Opposite to me, the nougat building is just , but the blue building is a bit meh-ish. And the green building is just an unclear thing. Just not sold on light grey+sand green. Might've been better with white and sand green I posted an image of a house pretty identical to the nougat building on AS here on Eurobricks a few weeks ago, but in Sand Blue. I have a feeling it would look better than in Tan, (you know, I did some testing on LDD). If you're going for it, drop some pictures!
