  1. Hello everyone, The other day I created a little park with a beach and water. It was my first time ever attempt to create a tree by hand. The park includes a bench, trashcan, paddle-boarder, guy with coffee and newspaper, biker, and lady playing with her dog with a bone and a tennis ball. I figured why not since it is sunny outside where I live, so I wanted to express some activities to do in the summer. Hope you enjoy it! by wilsontroy24, on Flickr
  2. Thanks. Its my first attempt at building a classic car from a picture.
  3. The bridge was also repainted in 2007 so it looks more golden.
  4. I know, you're right. I am okay with any opinion. I haven't built that many cars using a picture only. The only other car models I have built are the ones with sets like the Volkswagen Camper Van, Mini Cooper, or Ferrari F-40.
  5. Hello everyone, The other day I decided to work on my second build for this forum, and again it is another classic car. The Chevrolet 3100 has the cool feel of the 50's and just shows how fashionable cars were back then. Here is a picture of the real thing... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here are some pictures of my build... by wilsontroy24, on Flickr
  6. Hello everyone, This is my entry for the local landmark architecture competition. The Sacramento Tower Bridge... wilsontroy24, on Flickr The Tower Bridge is a vertical lift bridge across the Sacramento River, linking West Sacramento in Yolo County to the west, with the capital of California, Sacramento, in Sacramento County to the east. It was previously part of U.S. Route 40 until that highway was truncated to east of Salt Lake City. The bridge is maintained by the California State Department of Transportation as part of State Route 275 and connects West Capital Avenue and Tower Bridge Gateway in West Sacramento with the Capital Mall in Sacramento. wilsontroy24, on Flickr The Tower bridge replaced the 1911 M Street Bridge in Sacramento. On December 22, 1933, the State of California, Sacramento County, and the Sacramento Northern Railway held a conference plan to the new bridge, with an agreement reached on March 8, 1934. On December 15, 1935, then-governor Frank Merriam dedicated the bridge, and led the inaugural crossing parade across it. wilsontroy24, on Flickr In 1982, the Tower Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places... Sacramento_Tower_Bridge_(2007) by wilsontroy24, on Flickr This was a fun building competition and I enjoyed it over the month, thanks!
  7. Same with me. I am done with my entry.
  8. Hi everybody! The other day I decided to do a build on a classic car. Since I have a love for them, I decided why not. This 57' Chevy Bel Air represents the true feel for the fifties. With its sleek design and very recognizable features, It is a car to behold. 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupé front by wilsontroy24, on Flickr
  9. I can't wait for the new upcoming creator expert sets this year...
  10. There is such an immense amount of bricks you used. This is absolutely amazing! Great job on the exterior and interior portions of the ship.
  11. Wow. Fantastic job on the layout. I am absolutely blown away.
  12. The front of the van really stood out to me.
  13. Really cool. where is that picture from with all the lanterns?
  14. Great concept designs. Did you only buy one set of the Architecture Studio package or multiple?
  15. Going ahead and putting this with my 10248 Ferrari F40, 10220 VW T1 Camper Van, 10242 Mini Cooper, and Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 (8169) would be THE perfect fit.
  16. Man! I am a big classic rock fan and having the Lego Yellow Submarine with the 4 minifigure Beatles in my collection would be the perfect fit for my love. Along with the Saturn V Apollo 11 Rocket, which would go perfectly with the rest of the scaled models I have. Awesome job!
  17. The Western theme. All of the Civil War era minifigures with horses, wagons, saloons, forts, etc.
  18. I have some retro Lego flight attendant and nurse minifigures that are sitting in this specialized case. I never really touch them. They are from 1976.
  19. If you have the Lego Ideas Back to the Future DeLorean, the center dashboard in the red digital numbering is suppose to be January 28th 1955 and not January 28th 1958.
  20. L-E-G-O. It is simple. I know other countries might get it mixed up but it even has it in their logo.
  21. I still believe there should still be the Grand Emporium as a set. It still goes great with any other modular building. They will probably build a revamped model of it later.
  22. A classic car theme would really help. Being offside from Creator, it would be the perfect match to all who love to display big items.
  23. The only things that stood out for me this year so far is the creator sets. They make a lot of those and I buy a lot of them. Then again, the basic same-old-same-old from the rest of the themes.
  24. It isn't a bad castle. The only problem I would have with turning the tower bridge into a Modular Building is the fact that it probably would not fit in the sequence. See, with old English architecture mixed in with modern, more plain architecture wouldn't feel right. I don't know, I guess it's just my opinion.
  25. I have actually built every Lego set on either the floor of my room, living room, or dining room. Most of the time my room can't handle me building large sets. I do not think I will ever actually NOT build Lego set on the floor. My 10211 Grand Emporium, 10248 Creator Expert Ferrari, 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van, Racers Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 (8169), 10226 Sopwith Camel, 10242 Mini Cooper, for example, are some I've had to go down on my knees to build.
