Look at the current state of LEGO pirate sets, last pirate set was released in 2020, there’s no waves just small pirate themed call outs, who knows when the next pirate set would be. PaB is cheap as hell and I can build a dock cheaper than BL to be honest, not to mention I can get extra mini figures that way. Many thought this year’s classic set would had been the medieval village because they were rumors about how it could connect to the Lion Knights castle but el dorado came through, i love this set better than the creator 3 an 1 set we would had gotten if lego kept their word about the classic lines. I’m completely happy modifying current lego sets, what’s done’s done, and I can’t wait for this set. To answer Jack Sassy, the Disney route: we get diamonds rather than pearl gold, when before it was chrome yellow for pirate treasure.

I’m buying this for the figures, any fan would know we can replace brick colors and swap out what we don’t like I.e brick made door on second floor but fact of the matter is that people indeed complained about the POBB masts and to add the cherry on top if the docks were brown, ya’ll would be saying it should had been better in black. Lest we forget Lego has been getting away with charging overinflated prices, I am pretty sure if POBB was released today it would had been close to 230-250. There’s no comparison, remember the 50 dollar increase from what was originally the Lion Knights castle? For the longest time we heard it was 350usd then just so happens that August was the day they increases said prices and we got it for 399.99 😭😭. there’s no going back.

My logic behind this set is that the bricks and figures from such a period will be available "again" like if I wanted to recreate an Imperial trading post per se, the new bricks and style are available from PaB, making it thus easier to expand on these notions and imaginations hehehe
-
To be honest, this is my logic on this, and I might sound crazy, but even if LEGO managed to release one set per line a year, in my humble and crazy logic all I can think is Pick a Brick. Endless possibilities, in my case, when all the previous sets we discussed were released I have managed to double my set oriented exclusive pieces and minifigures to future proof my collection, If Lego won't give me the sets I want, I might as well bank on the current availability of the "line" and the figures. I bought two sets of barracuda bay minifigures for my pirate lineup and tripled my lion knight army collection for each banner under their shields and managed to acquire bricks and essentials necessary for my projects. I'm not creative by any means but I just expand on current mentioned sets, I'm trying to be hopeful with lego but the days of pushing multiple Pirates and Castle sets for us consumers are over I think, so I am content with what we get and I love new and improved takes or remakes of their older sets, because it evolves on what we grew up on. Believe me, my wallet is ready, but I am also still hopeful that maybe LEGO will go the subscription right and keep their word on the Lego Vault sets exclusives and would be curious to see how far back they would had gone. I'm a little sad because LEGO was changing the LEGO VIP early access window from the 7th, to the 1st, back to the 4th of July and since it's a national Holiday I don't think that many people will be in town in the first place on the US that is. They already leaked the DISNEY 100 GWP for July, with a set number and no majisto as of yet. Knowing LEGO, they will probably release it on some off the wall month to get us to purchase their sets.

If I am lucky I am planning for my second set of this to be an Imperial trading post, considering the ship we got for this and the similarities it makes perfect sense I think! LEGO legit said that castle/Pirates would only move forward as creator 3 in 1 sets. they sold enough castles and ships to finally throw in the towel and give us PoBB/Lion knights castle. I'm excited.

It’s there. You just haven’t been paying attention haha, check the official pictures of the room with the barrel above a treasure chest 😉, it’s hidden, look at the 30 second video around the 18 second mark. They changed the date from July 1st to July 4th for VIP early access now 😒

I was more worried about the set being canceled as many were, because it was so under wraps that not even a peep out of anyone or pictures, I’m glad I was wrong but you are right, although I was bit obsessed that I legit started having nightmares about this set being canceled, and checking the internet daily for pictures, nothing prepared me for finally seeing the full set at least. It all ended in tears because I wanted to see this set pull through finally. Now I’m juts looking at this set and starting to nitpick this in a good way. Like for example the admirals wooden door in the tower is made out of bricks, LOL i need to start preparing for this set! I’m also curious on why LEGO did reuse a lot of the faces, they could had made a new one for the admiral at least I think, but I’m not complaining I’ll face swap them anyways or buy more figures when it hits PAB in a couple of months. I grew up in Central America, I never heard of it either but I remember having spring loaded cannons, at least we had that! Haha I mean not even the lego website has names for them anyways, we can seriously make it up as we go, I mean brick beard is wearing a disguise because of his wanted status by the imperial army that Lady Anchor needed him to steal the gold to fund and repair the shipwrecked black seas barracuda. I know people get hung up on not having brickbeard physically wearing his normal outfit, but since the LEGO group reused his face anyways, it’s easy to say he’s just wearing a different outfit? Either way it’s not the same gray haired brick beard from the barracuda bay so it can be a younger version Or it can be a prequel story to how he became brick beard in the first place by stealing the gold and started to conquer the seven seas. I am curious though ,if Neils mentioned that LEGO lost money using the base plates, why did LEGO continue to make them until the 2010’s? I mean it’s gone now but I’m just thinking out loud here.

Huge weight off my back with this set being released in less than two weeks!!! Some reviewers were saying July 4th? struck me as odd then Saw the site change it to July 1st, on a saturday as well, that lego line at the mall is going to be pure hype!!!!
-
Soooo I just saw that the Lego website updated the early release window for July 1st(7th for regular consumers) on the US. OMG
-
I feel like i'm the only who stocked up on the 2015 wave haha, to be honest the prints are nearly identical you could barely tell BUT it's a welcome touch, the more the merrier.
-
I am actually impressed he managed to keep this under wraps for so long considering the massive leak of 2023/2024 from a focused group of lego recently. I wish I could get lego to send me sets for reviews hahaha Year and half, barracuda bay came out in August 2020 but it retired november 2021 I think, 19 months it lasted. Reason I remember is because that's when I bought my second set, it went down to 180 bucks I think. I'm surprised the 3in1 pirate ship is still being sold since 2019.

Have you seen the Lego promotional video of this set? It was all the singing monkey’s fault hahaha, it’s actually pretty catchy and well done 😍😍
-
I’m going to go crazy on PaB with the mini figures, especially on red epaulettes 😍 The Lego discord server members were saying that the July GWP will be Disney related considering the Disney castle remake? Just rumors, don’t take my word for it 🫣
-
So we can buy two sets? The second one would pass off as an imperial trading post with that ship 🥹 I heard the Majisto GWP was pushed back to September
-
It’s what makes the wait short for me, I just finished the indiana jones sets and have the Harry Potter sets from this year and the Batman returns batcave, my pirate sets are all taken apart at the moment and I feel that it would be the perfect chance to finally rebuild them. I always buy retro lego sets day one, the castle last year was a massive hyped up set for me at the lego store!
-
Lololol wouldn’t surprise me, but I’m over the moon now more than ever about the modular capabilities of this set!! Wooooo my PAB orders are going to be insane hahahaha My only knitpick is the fact they brought back the blue parrot and not the red one
-
This is exactly why lego doubled down on the modern updates, even lego.com has an ad about “nostalgia” and are looking to keep the same almost retro look and they nailed it on this set. With that said I’ve been obsessing about the lego pictures and realized that this set doesn’t open up, but it’s modular, you can rearrange them like the 2015 sets and that speaks volumes to me, i did MOC’s of the 2015 imperial sets and the Eldorado will make a great expansion to those!!!
-
This exactly why I’m panicking, I wasn’t expecting this to happen so recent 😭
-
The only disappointment from this set is the release date July 7th 🤣🤣 why are they making us wait for that long 😭😭 I honestly bought those similar monkeys for my pirate sets so it’s not totally disappointing to me, either way I’m also curious why Lego doesn’t release base plates anymore, I think I would have loved to see a 2513 set with the baseplate over bricks. I never doubted you guys but Lego has been making me mad when they were cancelling old sets 😭
-
It’s funny you mention this because some of my other ABS action figure pieces have begun to leave a weird odor and they look dry, I’m curious to see if anything can bring them back to life
-
I tried that, this is the aftermath, RIP Snoke I was moving Old Han from the MF falcon set and his torso started to do the same and I just didn’t touch it anymore, I’m scared now haha
-
Uh Walmart did sell the dr strange poly bags, I bought like three of them, I saw them at target as well. if you live nearby a legoland discovery center, you will have a better chance of getting old merchandise that way.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

That’s how I feel with the Jurassic Park sets, especially the 30th anniversary ones, were paying for the dinosaurs more than the actual sets to be honest. -
fingers crossed for some announcements, July sets are starting to pop up 😍

I've pulled my lego figures out of storage and noticed that random minifigures will have their arms completely tighten that make it hard to move, I broke my Star Wars Snoke minifigure this way, it cracked the torso in half and broke the arm, what's causing this and is there a fix? I was messing around with other figures and found another one, Old Han Solo from the force awakens and when I wanted to move the arms, they got tight. Removing one arm on Snoke is what caused it to break...
