Some overreacting people believed the 2012 Lego set bared a passing resemblance to a mosque. Clearly they did not consider this in 1983 nor make a fuss to Lucas film or ralph mcquarrie. Just a lot of fuss over something quite trivial really. Nothing to concern yourself with. I agree a huge opportunity was missed out by not making TWS sets or TDW sets. To be quite honest, the whole of the avengers cartoon marvel stuff seems like they should've been Cap 2 and TDW set. Cap vs. hydra could have been, Steve rogers(blue jacket and white shirt), a police car, Nick Fury (MCU) in a black suv and the winter soldier. The spider trike could have been Another cap set maybe with widow (green jacket), WS and cap (shield WS uniform) on a bike, The Lab smash could have been Asgard battle, Includes Thor (TDW), Jane foster (TDW), Loki (TDW), Malekith (TDW), Kurse (TDW) and to complete the scene heimdall. Set could have been Asgard flying chariot, Dark Elf fighter and a bridge about the size of the original Spiderman bridge set for the Bifrost bridge. The other two sets could have been based on ASM 2 as Disney have the merch rights to that film and sony don't. The doc ock set could have been The same premise with the armoured truck but include spiderman (ASM2 Version), Rhino brick built small mech suit with the guy who pilots it inside and still the police officer. The spidercopter could have been clocktower confrontation: Spider Man (ASM2), Gwen stacy (white jacket and purple top ASM2), The green goblin (ASM 2), Electro (ASM2) could include goblin glider, electric pylons with exploding features and the clockower open at the back for play with cogs and a smashing top window. Just a thought of what could have been. On the plus side we got some cool figures such as Red Skull, Taskmaster, new doc ock, MODOK, Mary jane, electro, green goblin, falcon then some nice variants shame spidey is still mindlessly dull design wise and once these sets are got my sixth spidey in that gettup. At least they could've had gwen in the USM set and put the variant from Sdcc in the three sets.

Any word on whether they are going to make a Lego marvel superheroes movie based on the game like they did with batman as I don't have a console and my PC is already overstuffed to accommodate the game. The Blu Ray of Lego Batman The Movie I really liked as I had already played the game and the movie I enjoyed equally. Hopefully if they did one they would include an exclusive figure, maybe stan lee!

2 words HELICARRIER! Its about time we get a marvel d2c exclusive and one could really do the helicarrier justice! maybe they could make it a winter soldier set and include some awaited favourites and a villain or two maybe. Maybe Winter Soldier and abomination. Finally we could get MCU Fury, Agent Coulson, Maria Hill, Maybe Steve rogers with a shield, Bruce Banner, hulk, falcon MCU, Black widow (WS version). OR maybe we may get the helicarrier next year for Avengers 2 and the enemies could be Strucker and Ultron. I reckon we could get a non exclusive stark tower (dubbed avengers tower in the first one's ending) but I could see a summer D2C set or winter one of the helicarrier to tie into avengers 2.

DC favourite: General zod: They nailed the armour detailing, the sculpting is some of the best lego has done and nothing looks oversized and it all looks grand. I had to modify one for him to have hair on with armour on one version though which is the only bad thing. The odd thing is faora's hair fits on with the armour due to the flexibility of her armour around the neck. DC least fave: Tough one, none come to mind really! The only thing I will say is I wish jor el's hairpiece had been better and that he'd had moulded tan armour also wish we'd got more krypton variants of characters also lara and some other players such as Perry and Martha. Marvel Favourite: This is tricky cause I've loved most of the line. I'd have to say either doom cause he looks identical to comics and menacing or the new Doc Ock who just looks all round awesome the comics and just as cool as Alfred Molina's ock. I personally have no beef with the ultimate spider man goblin as he is accurate to his appearance in the show and beats go go power goblin from the first film. That I think is another reason why I like the look of the ASM2 version he just looks menacing and formidable. I want to see classic goblin in lego at some point and if possible ASM2 goblin. Marvel Hate: Ultimate ock. Terrible variation of the character turning him into a bumbling fool and the fact they even bothered to made a Lego figure of that... THING before the comic one only increases my intense hatred for the variation. Bricktimus: I agree! Judging by his USM appearance it should have been a black leather coat print and a black shirt!

I'd love to see the chase from Skull. Involving the two Russian cars and mutt's cycle. It'd also be cool to get a clean shaven Indiana jones with grey hair (from that chase). Nowadays if they made any more sets then general reikan's hair would be great for an older and younger Indy. Also The bridge scene from temple and the temple of the grail. It also would've been cool to have that rocket sled from Skull and Irina's green car. If they ever did more Indy sets nowish they could get a lot of detail on figures. Indy could have a few double sided faces spread through the sets like angry, determined, smiling, shocked.

I'd say that's real and evidence points toward a new palpatine this year. Plus the 2014 current range figures appeared first on eBay through suspected unscrupulous factory workers and I'd wager that one of those type of people could grab a torso like that from the production line. I strongly suspect this is a real new torso for this year taken from a Lego factory. Just as grievous and that scout trooper were.

OR the numerous CW events like cad bane breaking into the temple, Anakin fighting bariss, the temple being bombed, they could even combine the final duel from sacrifice and add CW palpatine and maybe even an exclusive jedi master Dooku as seen in clone wars penultimate episode destiny.They could do It like the CW equivalent of the death star and include many different characters and rooms/features to represent different scenarios in CW. They could have yoda's escape from voices and include his Starfighter they could make up a scenario where droids attack heck they could even throw in the zillo beast attacking the temple rather than the senate. A CW temple: endless possibilities.

As a new torso for the emperor with tan hands was uncovered on the future sets discussion. The torso matches entirely the one seen in the new micro fighters video which also showed leg printing. From the evidence of the existence of these two sources we can conclude that a tan skinned redesign palpatine is coming this year. I would wager it may appear in one of the usual summer retailer exclusives. The question remains in what set will he arrive. The poster seemed to think he might appear in a micro fighter imperial shuttle. I think this unlikely as surely Lego would put him in something more higher priced. I'm glad to see that they have dropped the inaccurate grey skin and the black gloves??? (seriously who thought of that? he has never ever worn gloves!) The tan skin is far more accurate so I'm glad that is being made, hopefully judging by 2014 Vader, palpatine might have a new redesigned face. I was shown episode 1 and 2 in 2003 and the original films after that. I just always assumed as a kid that the OT were the final 3. Until I saw episode 3 and everything made sense. As a child my favourite one was ROTS as it "had the most fighting in it". The point here is that kids in general are more likely to be interested in CW and the PT than the OT as they've seen those the most. Explaining why Lego makes so many PT and used to make so much CW really.

Opinion is not fact. Lego's target audience are children remember. Jedi are the most popular group amongst children plus if there is a lot of Jedi (interesting minifigures) and the huge temple that they've seen throughout 6 seasons of clone wars and 3 movies plus if they include some enemies and a smaller vehicle for them. To children PT and CW are the best as although the OT has aged well it is far less dynamic in colour grading and visual imagery and would appear quite dated to youngsters raised on vivid cartoons, videogames and visual effects light years ahead of the late 1900s. Heck my favourite is OT but I enjoy CW equally (much more than the PT definitely). My point is that if Lego made a temple with a lot of play features and a decent interior plus about 12 figures then kids would go crazy over it! Temples would fly off the shelves mark my words. I hate that I'm part of a fandom where some devalue anything that isn't circa 1977-1983. Some of you guys are just like the doctor who classicists and the hobbit haters. You refuse to judge a work of film or TV(sequel, prequel whatever) on it's own merit just because it isn't a carbon (frozen? See what I did there?) copy of the original Film/TV show of the same franchise. On topic a Jedi Temple would work.

That'd be great! A fitting farewell but then again all 6 star wars films have sets made of them every year! CW TV show may have ended but that's not to say Lego will stop making CW sets alongside rebels and the 7+ films series. The show has enough credibility and is well known enough for sets to sell for years to come! There has been no official confirmation that Lego CW sets will end this year. I reckon one of the usual summer exclusives will be CW.The pattern since 2009 for summer exclusive sets is a CW one and either a PT, OT or EU. So we may get one last CW set as a summer store exclusive like the star hopper last year, pre viszla's fighter the year before. It would be fitting for one of the 2014 summer exclusives to be CW as it is the end of the show.

Considering the end of CW this year a CW exclusive for may 4th would be a good tribute to all the show has given to the star wars universe. Maybe a jedi temple guard or a dark version of yoda both would just be reprints of existing parts. Temple guard is just a hood coloured in tan and printed face mask and a normal printed torso and legs. Dark yoda would be a black yoda head with red eyes and a printed body. Maybe the head would have different printing to show the darkness. Just a thought kind of the sort of variants that aren't that hard to do but people want but are unlikely to appear in sets.

From CW we still need: CW sidious, pre vizsla (season 4), mother talzin, night-sisters, Bo Katan, Jedi temple guards, duchess satine (season 5), Bo katan, Arc trooper Fives, updated Hondo, commander fox phase 2, Dark Yoda, Battle damaged yoda, Admiral trench, Adi Galia, Bounty hunter ventress, season 5 Darth Maul. The list goes on and on. It'd be great if CW gets one summer exclusive with sidious based on season 6 or season 5's battle with Bo Katan, Pre Vizsla, Darth Maul, satine, Obi in mando armour. In an ideal world CW sets would end summer 2015 but due to rebels that is unlikely. There is no official confirmation that CW's lego set line is even ending. ROTS was 2005 and they still make sets of that so maybe star wars will go that sort of way, a mix of CW, ST, OT, rebels and PT it would certainly offer a range of different sets unlike other typical licensed themes as we would have the realism of the 7+movies and the style and cartoonish charm of Rebels and CW.That would be best. IF Lego CW is to end this year I just hope we get one more set as one of the two usual summer exclusives just to round off CW with Sidious and other characters wanted.

WOW! All those details! Fantastic design baron! I almost wish Lego's was like this! All the key scenes put into different rooms! Its an inspired idea! It may not be in a circular shape like the official one but that looks very impressive in the flesh!

They would have to have some villain in laketown and bolg seems to be the logical choice. Judging by what I've just read on the empire article for TABA I would guess that laketown would include bofur as boyens says he was put there in DOS for a reason, Bard seems likely as he is the one all this destiny and legend is building around. We already know Bain is in this set so I would guess we'd get casual tauriel as she is obviously going to be in lake town during the attack and she was during DOS and then I'd guess we'd get another orc and maybe even legolas as who else is bolg going to fight? Also floundie the British price shown at toy fair confirmed by HUW was £34.99 which would mean It could very well have more than 4 figures as MEA did and that was only £30. The final US price for these sets is not yet known and it could differ from the UK price. I mean in pounds goblin king battle is £79.99 but in USD it is $99.99. Sets are more expensive to buy in dollars in the USA than pounds in the UK. Point being in the USA the final price could be $40 which opens up a far larger possibility of more than figures. I doubt they would make bard's daughters as they aren't well known enough to sell a set and would seem boring to kids who have seen DOS or TABA as they don't do much really other than look frightened.

No doubt that is a new genuine torso as it is one of lego's designs seen in the video and as Vader is going a more accurate tan its not that much of a stretch of the imagination for palps to follow suit. I reckon judging by that design of robe it will be a ROTJ set as in ROTS he never wears black he only wears his dark brown in a duel with yoda. Where did that picture of the torso come from? I had no idea we were getting a palpatine in the microfighters! I am so glad to see they have dropped the rubbish grey look! Tan will look far more accurate than the 2010 one. Also in the micro fighters episodes on YT this torso appears along with printed legs! I'm glad to see a new ROTJ palpatine. Now all we need is A ROTJ brown robe palpatine and a pale dark red cw one. Also I hope the tan face has different facial expressions like an evil smile and an angry gritted teeth snarl. Also looking at the pictures of palpatine from ROTJ it looks like the torso is the most accurate yet! If they nail the head then this will be the best palpatine emperor variation yet! Even the silver broach is accurate! The thing they need to nail is the red around the eyes.

Last night I tried putting CW's palpatine's pauldrons over a cape with a hood and it matches the look of CW sidious. In the finished version if they used the jor el cape colour for the torso and cape and hood or the dark red colour and either black or very dark blue pauldrons or maybe the one used on the arc trooper. I mean if you look at this picture of sidious the colours are quite vivid in CW more so than in the films. With either the Ronan hood or a regular one in dark red with dark blue pauldrons. I agree about the clone wars figures really looking like the ones in the show and capturing the essence of the characters. That's why a CW sidious would work so well! Personally I prefer CW to the prequels anyway as the voice actors have really captured how the characters act. Heck when someone says Obi wan to me the first thing I think of is Alec Guinness and James Arnold Taylor's obi wan! I have always immensely enjoyed the clone wars so collecting the characters and sets is a no brainer for me as other than the original trilogy it is my favourite version of the star wars universe. I see what you mean about the essence I mean the Count Dooku CW figure is all about the eyes the narrowness and the facial structure just make him seem really sinister and it just looks like the clone wars character right down to the hairpiece.Whereas the movie one is an excellent representation of Christopher lee but isn't quite as menacing as the CW one. I love all the detail in printing they are putting into figures but the zit/spot on Luke's face is just overkill. Also just a thought but as sidious's hood hangs over his eyes a bit they may just recolor the one used on Ronan the accuser if they make a CW version hopefully. Sadly without printing a shadow over his eyes on the head they can't really get the menacing look right for the CW one. Also eyes need to be red to make him look more evil as blue looks too friendly.

Dain is said to be in BOFA set according to FBTB's London toy fair report. I would guess bolg would be in lake town as if Smaug only appears to be in the mountain set then the lake town set which has been said to be three buildings including the bell tower (I assume that is the tower the crossbow launcher thing is on in DOS). If they wanted a villain for that set then I could see it being bolg as he is the only villain who has set foot in lake town in the trilogy so far. I could see that set including Bain who has been confirmed, maybe bofur (lake town), legolas, Bolg, casual tauriel, one orc and bard. I like the sound of all four sets especially Erebor as I haven't got all the dwarves yet and it would be best to get them in their newest variations. I would guess we would get Thorin and the other dwarves who entered Erebor in DOS and DOS Bilbo. Hopefully soon we will get some new info.

I bought from smyths two weeks ago the turtle lair and the shredder dragon bike. For my first foray into TMNT I was very impressed! The figures are awesome and really nicely done. the shredder looks very badass and fits in with my marvel dc and other villains from licensed themes excellently. He also looks great with lord garmadon of ninjago as TMNT and ninjago look great together. I'm calling it! Ninjago and TMNT Lego team up TV special! That would be awesome. Planning to pick up hydra tank next week after I see the cineworld IMAX 3D avengers, winter soldier double bill on the 25th of march (9pm-2:30am what a long night!!). The cap one is my favourite spring 2014 marvel set as the vehicle is actually similar to the first cap movie tank and the figures of classic cap and red skull are awesome.

On the contrary I think it may be the closest to Alec Guinness version they have done as his beard looks harsher and less neat and in the film alec's beard was quite unkempt. Also looking at stills of obi wan from a new hope the torso and legs are the most accurate of all versions as the brown robe printing is the most accurate way to show the robe which is worn over his tunic which is also movie accurate Add a cape and hood for effect and you've got the most accurate robed obi wan Lego has made. The Luke face is terrible though I agree! Why would they put that mole on a perfectly good face! Without that weird spot the face would look fine!

I'd hope by now they've seen the brown robe that sidious wears in both the rots fight with yoda and in CW. Plus they really need to drop the grey with all the accuracy they are now showing to Vader 2014 and rots obi wan. A CW sidious would have to be flesh as he is unscarred but a ROTS one should be a slightly lighter shade of Vader's 2014 head and include a evil smile on one side of head and a grimace on the other as the current sidious isn't remotely accurate for ROTS and just scrapes being ROTJ accurate due to torso printing. Its about time for an update as the chancellor has a very accurate one. Has anyone seen this? It gives us a good look at some 2014 summer figures! Plus I saw boga the lizard updated!! I hope he is in a set at some point.

I hope we see sidious in that costume with a flesh head preferably clone wars but a yoda vs. sidious senate set and rots sidious would be great too. Although a final hurrah for CW would be great considering it is the end of the show/range surely it should go out on a bang. Sad we never got bo katan or pre vizsla season 4 costume or mother talzin or numerous other unmade characters.
