It looks really good now we've seen the size of it in comparison to minifigures and I like the dwarf armour. Smaug also in the official images on lego's sit looks impressive and the amount of poseability on the video of brother hood workshop is great. I never noticed the secret door til I saw that video. That's a nice accurate play feature. It looks better separated I think.

2015 The LEGO Movie rumors and discussion
legofreak86 replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
WOW they've redone the slits in his white eyes to make them look thinner to go for a more lego movie style look. -
Yeah its the armour seen from the set photos of the third film. Clearly his battle of the five armies sets. I like the armour actually and I like how accurate Bilbo is in the torso and the dark brown trousers. Is that a mithril vest I spy in the printing of his torso? That would make sense as it would make him a film 3 figure.

Qui gon's does. besides any accurate hairpiece for phase 2 thor if not the avengers 1 hairpiece will do that. I mean qui gons doesn't crease his cape. -

good idea. I still think qui gon's nails the pony tail and shape best though. It would be good for lego. They'd be reusing an existing piece in a different colour rather than molding anything new which they would like. Then again we might just get the standard Thor hairpiece we have been getting. -
Yeah agreed Smaug is epic. Sadly the set doesn't match his level of excellence. Still it is reasonably accurate and has some exclusive variants. I especially like blue coat Bilbo. Hopegully FBTB will provide us with close up pictures at some point.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Avengers 2 hair is same as thor 2. However I think the colour of kili's hair is not really the right shade for thor. I'd say probably a tan or dark tan would do well for the shade but that mold looks good. I have to say after seeing thor 2 he does have the pony tail at the back of his head like the bard piece. http://static2.hypable.com/wp-content/gallery/thor-on-set/chris-hemsworth-thor-the-dark-world-9.jpg?1a36e6 kili's is a bit too wavy for that style from the film whereas the bard/qui gon hair matches is almost dead on even with the pony tail and the neatness/length/shape. with the flurry of leg printing happening does anyone think like with guardians the avengers will have leg printing as Thor has some pretty cool print on his legs and cap could do with some especially with his new uber detailed look. -
I have to say Smaug is everything I hoped he would be and its great to see him and the set has parts of the 2nd film scenes that are quite cool so its not a complete and utter disappointment on second look. Its perhaps not what I expected but It will do. Like many others I will buy this for smaug and Bilbo and the armoured dwarves. these dwarves in this set lead me to believe laketown tower may have some others. Bofur perhaps. I really hope thorin shows up as he is the most important character in this film other than Bilbo, bard and Gandalf. Hopefully FBTB's pictures (as they usually cover this sort of thing) will show us close up of the minifigures like they did in 2013.

AH shucks!!! It does just end with the rail trailing off like that... That's a bit disappointing I was hoping a third section would be in there. Theres not even a lever for Bilbo to pull to release the gold like in the film. That's very disappointing just those two big gates would finish it off nicely, As it is not even anywhere near £100. There are £60 sets bigger and better than that. I will end up getting it for smaug and figures though. For the most expensive set of the hobbit line this is very small. I hope the next 3 sets are better and have more of the figures we need. At least this gives us Bilbo, smaug and some of the main dwarves in armour. I really hope we see thorin, thranduil, bolg, bear beorn, blue coat bard and some of the armies that fight in the battle.

DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
legofreak86 replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
I reckon we will see New 52 supes, Martian, Wonderwoman new 52, Cyborg, maybe even green arrow, grundy, croc, firefly, cheetah. If this wave is the only thing Dc this year lego wise then why not pull out all the stops to make a game based wave and give us loads of characters we want! With this set it seems possible stuff like the above could happen. -

Late to the party. This set pretty much confirms that the next wave is based off Lego Batman Beyond Gotham. I reckon each set will be a different scenario with a different Dc villain in space like the game synopsis said to collect the rings before braniac can! -
I am thus far underwhelmed. Smaug looks good but a small £100 set with five figures, what a lame way to end the hobbit range. Where the heck is thorin? I like the inclusion of some of the dwarves but I expected kili and fili to be in the lake town tower set not here. If thorin doesn't appear in his new armour in one of these sets it will be a terrible shame, I guess he must be in the BO5A. Unless of course (I hope) USA today are wrong and there is more than five figures! Hold on!!! FBTB said nine were in the set shown at toy fair February including Bilbo and that they were all dwarves. I mean the TMNT lair set is cheaper and has more figures. I hope that image is missing a part and USA Today have got their wires crossed as they already seem to have no idea which dwarves are which! I think that might be thorin with the sword as kili usually uses a bow and arrow and has a quiver. Plus it looks like battle armour of some kind and I can't see why they wouldn't put thorin in the largest set! Nuts that is kili

Has anyone noticed new cowl batman has a black head piece with the flesh chin and face printed onto it in every picture. I think this looks better as it makes the mask look fuller and no skin show under the mask as skin isn't supposed to show. By the placement of the cowl I think that this will have printed goggles to make the white eyes on this one and then maybe on the other side we could even get a normal bruce face showing through the black meaning we could have batmen with eyes?

Maybe that's the next Batman face. For the next wave of sets. Think about it. They hardly have done exlusive printings of the face for variants of established characters before. Look at superman in the black suit he had the same face as mos wave superman. Maybe this is a preview of our next batman figure face as it appears to have been redone and I doubt they'd do that for the sake of one figure. In fact maybe the angry expression but not the stubble will be for the next batman range. That TLM set for next year has a batman. Why would they out him in a smaller set than the one people buy to get TLM batman which is the gunship if he wasn't different. I'm gonna guess that angry face and smiley face will be the next ones. It would make a change from stoic and cocky. The angry face would be good as in the videogame covers he always has that expression and it would be cool to see it on a figure. If it can happen with wolverine a complete brand new face then it can happen with bats.

£160 isn't bad and the minifigures are wicked so I am really considering picking this up. The one thing that downsides it is that you can't put batman or anyone in the vehicle as its not minifigure scale which makes it great to display but a bit useless for anything else like stop motion, play e.t.c. I think what might've served better is a detailed minifigure scale tumbler like seen in mocs by fans, alongside a nolan batcave with a spot for the bat and the computer screens and bits from TDKR and BB. Then if they had it so the batpod could eject from the tumbler and had it sort of a assault on the batcave type thing with Ras (neeson), Scarecrow and Joker (ledger) vs Batman (begins), Alfred (caine), Catwoman (Hathaway) and with Lucius fox. Just a thought as two figures for £160 is a bit underwhelming. I love the detail but a Ras, Lucius, Alfred and Catwoman would make it worth its price. I think I may get this as I always loved the tumbler its just a shame they didn't include more for your money.

This is an incredible set and Lego have really done it justice. It's a shame it isn't minifigure scale and doesn't come with the batpod but I can overlook that. I have to say though it would've been great to see a few more figures. Lucius Fox designed the thing so he would've been good also Ras Al Ghul (liam neeson), catwoman and scarecrow would've been good too. However the Joker figure is wicked! The begins batman is very well done (shame about no eyes but oh well) I love that the plaque is a wayne industries applied sciences rundown of the fetures which is a great touch.

I hope we get some variation of bard in the lake town tower as literally I can't see the point of having the windlance without a bard figure in the set. Maybe it will be the blue coat without chainmail like in an earlier promo picture. Chainmail is far more useful though as he could be used for the BO5A as he wears that in battle. I'm just looking forward to seeing Erebor! Hopefully it will give us blue coat Bilbo, BO5A armoured, gold chainmail thorin, armoured variations of some of the main dwarves.

OOps! My Bad I forgot thor. Yeah I'd expect your list would be more likely.I really think that Avengers Tower will be the flagship set like they do with system big sets in star wars. I reckon £100-£130.

8BrickMario: Unikity has been announced as one of the exclusives. Collector, Bard, Unikity and somebody from DC. I agree if it's deathstroke or Arrow from Tv series I will die a little inside.

I doubt it. For two years in a row a preview figure from the hobbit has been given away. Then we have seen it again in the following wave exactly as it was. Both Azog and Jacketless Bilbo followed this example. I can't see Lego sacrificing accuracy of printing for the sake of making something exclusive. Besides bard would look off without the leg printing as in the new promo picture it matches the movie entirely. I don't reckon this will be any different from last year. I have to say the range of sets we are getting sounds a bit more comprehensive than last year. I mean Dol Guldur, Erebor, Dale, Laketown sets sound like a great variety. I think though its the figures I'm looking forward to most, some slots to be filled and some new characters people will want and of course smaug. I still think it's awesome that the smaller set has Galadriel, Armoured Elrond and The Witch king. I mean for a small set that's very impressive!
