  1. It was the start of summer and the streets were packed. Banners fluttered above our heads as we marched through the windy roads of Andfore. The crowds had gathered to say farewell to the brave men who would defend them. The troops smiled and laughed as they said goodbye to their loved ones. The only men who were grim were veterans who rode with Artorius Rex, those who knew the true horror of war. Despite this The Maestro bore a large grin, it was important to keep up troops morale and let them have one last merry moment before the darkness that came with war. To think about how many of these wives would be widows and how many children would become fatherless after the battle is unbearable. I can only hope that the battle shall be swift and result in a heroic victory for Eolas. Yet not all things go to plan... A heroes farewell by Jed cameron, on Flickr A heroes farewell by Jed cameron, on Flickr A heroes farewell by Jed cameron, on Flickr You're probably sick of these builds by now but do not fear, the holiday has one more day remaining and nothing more will be posted for a while. Anyway this took longer than it should have despite all the angles. This was also a stretch of pieces which I seem to have a habit of doing :p oh well, may be time for my first bricklink order. This build will be slightly modified and then appear later in the saga. Not much else to say so hope you enjoy :D p.s Thanks Jacob Nion for your awesome Skavenport, A massive help when building this. The last saga chapter: Construction of a army The next saga chapter: A hollow victory
  2. Another saga chapter is up with another ready for photos. Then its back to more minichallanges Construction of a army
  3. The island of Eolas had sprung into action. With the council confirming war against the drow, hundreds of men had been recruited, pulled out of their peaceful lives to defend their families. But for an army you need not only troops but weapons, food, ale, horses, ale , armour, ale and perhaps a little more ale. The Maestro was checking the training of his army, seeing that it would be ready soon. Troops listened eagerly to their instructors, attacking wooden dummy or sparring with others. Arrows flew from bows, aimed for the wooden target while their partners offer "positive" feedback. Smithy's lined the training ground, producing weapons and armour by the hour. The Maestro smiled grimly, they would be ready. But anyway it was a fun build and I enjoyed building it after the complexity of Brofendurs Kitchen, which I still have to write a story for... If you think this build is too simple then you should see what I just finished. ANGLES ARE HARD!!!! :p The last saga chapter: The last straw The next saga chapter: A heroes farewell
  4. Great work Garmadon, The mountain and castle walls are incredible but the inside is where the real treasure is. There is just enough foliage to make it look natural although a tree or two may have been nice . Once a gain I just want to say how great the interior is, it blew me away Great moc, I can't wait for more
  5. Sorry for the double post but I have forgotten how to post challange builds. Do we post challange builds in the guild thread or as a seperate post. Thanks
  6. Don't worry, Im sure he will get over it (insert bridge pun here) Thanks Blufiji, it was probaly the one lordDan linked. Im glad you liked it, I thought the leanimg rock was probaly better that a straigh one.
  7. Thanks leonardo, it seems everyome likes the impaled mam The rockwork isn't my best but my texturings slowly getting better. Im glad you noticed the lean, it kinda of happened when the build smashed when I was making it. But I liked it and decided not to fix it
  8. That base is excellent, easily my favorite part of the build. The tower its self is awesome, although I don't love the way you combined the would and stone. That flag still looks great
  9. Yes, I remeber seeing that a while back and I have wanted to do it ever since, the challange just provided the right oppertunity.
  10. Thanks en_zoo, glad you didn't think it was a happy atmosphere The rock work was hard to achieve but im glad your happy with the outcome. Yeah, thats probaly my favourite part. I learnt alot from you Thanks Henjin, thats the feeling i'd hope you'd get. Thanks sk, this colour scheme was a must do on my list.
  11. Thanks lego fin, that impaled soldier was really fun to create I didn't pay close attention to the colour scheme but that great that you like it. I agree about the bridge. Thanks Blufiji, I always enjoy creating ruins and the minifig posing is always something I enjoy. Thanks sk, the orc was just a last minute detail that I put there for fun. I always love using appropriate expressions on minifigs Originaly it was going to have loads of trees but I decided against it. Details are always the things I look foward to in a build. Thanks Henjin, I love creating mid action scenes. The impaled man was the first thing I made
  12. The landscape is brilliand although I agree with the others, that giant is an amazing use of lego.
  13. Great use of the sphere, its not often I see it in a moc. The story is really cool, I can just picture the look on the villagers face...
  14. Thos os a really good use of snot. Great use of vines, they add just enogh to the scene.
  15. This is great! The colours once again work wonders and the landscaping is just enough. I lobe that monster
  16. Wow! The walls and the roof look stuning together and the rooks are great. Maybe a little too much foilage imo but it still looks amazing.
  17. Two entries to the mini challenges set in your foul land with another ready to post, thankfully set in Mitgardia. If you don't like Avalonia then these are for you. Druids sacrifice Kelra's treachery
  18. my two builds for the mini challenges with another ready to post. Unfortunately I haven't been the nicest to my fellow country men... Druids sacrifice Kelra's treachery
  19. Here's my last minute entry: Kelra's treachery Kelra's treachery by Jed cameron, on Flickr
  20. For the Black spire Greedy for gold and power captain Pillock abandoned his lord believing that joining the black spire would make him rich. Leading a small band of loyal men and his nephew Doyle, he left Avalonia behind traveling through the Siccus badlands unfortunately losing two men to a tribe of angered orcs. Eventually they finally ended up in the Kelra labyrinth. Using Doyle's map to navigate the labyrinth they safely traversed the normally dangerous paths. Amazed (no pun intended) at their quick progress the band of men grew merry and overconfident. When they reached a rickety bridge over a deep abyss the only one who was worried was Doyle, he tried to warn his uncle who was unfortunately to drunk to notice. Showing Doyle he had nothing to fear Pillock crossed the bridge gracefully, letting out a triumphant cry once he was on the other side. Next came Doyle who cautiously tip toed across the bridge, eventually making it to solid ground. The three soldiers who followed where to careless to tread carefully and stormed on all together. Unfortunately the bridge was a little bit too rickety... Kelra's treachery by Jed cameron, on Flickr This was a pain to put together and it didn't help that it was super rushed. The minifig posing was really fun to do. Not the best photos either bet I kind of just wanted to get them up on here as soon as possible. oh well, I think it turned out alright for a rushed moc, not my best but not my worst. Thanks for a great competition, gave me something to do over the holiday
  21. I love everything in this scene, the enviroment is great. Love the crumbled wall and great trees and rocks.
  22. Here is my entry: Druids sacrifice Druids sacrifice by Jed cameron, on Flickr
  23. For the Nocturnus resistance. Haunting the foot hills of the Rakath mountains, their ancient standing stones are a menacing reminder of the dangers that lies beyond. It is believed that they sacrifice their human victims to sustain their hunger for dark magic which is used to entice weary travelers who then become their prey. Their origins can be tracked back to the ancient order of druids from Avalonia. Cast out for meddling with evil magic they then traveled to Nocturnus where they became obsessed with power and would do what ever they could to enhance it. This included erecting giant dolmen and sacrificing human travelers, especially those from Avalonia as they seem to contain more magic. However due to the black spires presence, the number of travelers have declined, causing the druids to fear for their power. For this reason the druids have allied with the Nocturnus resistance to rid the land of the black spires forces before their magic completely diminishes. Druids sacrifice by Jed cameron, on Flickr When I saw the deadline for this was one day away I knew I had to enter it. I didn't care that my entry was rushed and built in under two hours. It was still a load of fun trying to create a creepy atmosphere . The dolmen was another attempt at snot rock work and I think I managed reasonably well. I still have a load of stuff I need to post including my best build yet (imo). Another saga chapter should be up over the next three days Hope you enjoy.
