  1. Ooh... what color is that dragon? Kai hasn't had a dragon since 2011, but a purple one would be marvelous. Anyway, sounds like an awesome set regardless of whose dragon it is.
  2. Well... Chima had a HUGE launch, with nearly 50 sets in its first year. Nexo Knights was quite a bit smaller. Now, the trick would be to keep sales up for the next two years, that would make it more successful than Chima. And producing fewer sets that still sell very well is much cheaper than carpet-bombing to try and find out what works. I can't believe that they actually tried that after the early 2000's... anyway... toning it down and increasing set quality sounds like a pair of really good moves, so I hope that this theme continues in that direction.
  3. Ugh, this lineup sounds really very repetitive and dull. Might get the Police Chase if the cars are good enough, I really like the 6-wide police car from this year but not enough to buy the set... Bank Robbery, Digger with Truck, and Pizza Van are the only ones that sound interesting in the slightest.
  4. Currently about 8 episodes into Season 2. I'm liking it well enough so far... loved the episode with Hondo, he was even funnier than he was in most of his Clone Wars appearances!
  5. They should keep at this "new and different" sort of thing. I really liked the prison this year, something different would be good... and variety of fire stations would be great. My hometown has like 7 fire stations, and they're all different... none of which look like what LEGO has made. Square with offices toward the back and side of the big garage in the middle. For $100, they could make something decent like that... if so many parts are not invested into stuff like helicopters and extra garage walls, that is. Mixing up the color scheme and making the living quarters and whatnot ultramodern would be really nice too. Plenty of ways a different fire station could be made.
  6. Interstellar. I think Christopher Nolan is now officially my favorite filmmaker. Despite a couple of iffy bits in the story, it's extremely well done technically, and very entertaining... I was not confused once by the bleeding-edge science, except maybe the tesseract sequence, and even though it was a little bit slow at times the 3-hour runtime really didn't bother me. Not since the longer Harry Potters (sans #2) has that not been an issue... now, I haven't seen Lord of the Rings (I've read it, though), but that was really an exceptional movie.
  7. I have placed a hold at my local library for this. I'm not expecting it to be any good... it does sound like a glorified fanfic by someone who is deliberately ignores the original thing in favor of their own interpretation. :/ And a trilogy of movies sounds like a terrible idea... come on guys, didn't you learn anything from The Hobbit? If you care enough about your fans to actually go and write another book, you could pay attention to literally everyone when they said that a trilogy out of the Hobbit was a bad idea. This book, unlike the Hobbit, doesn't even seem to be good enough to bother making ONE movie out of, much less 3.
  8. The transforming bike and the fighter jet sound really cool... but a $35-ish ANYTHING that resembles a Star Destroyer crossed with Phoenix Home has the potential to be terrible. Could be awesome... but it might not... anyway, glad that they're cutting down on blue everything. That should make them stand out more.
  9. I know a guy who goes out of his way to avoid watching trailers... I think this whole mentality is really strange. Doctor Strange. No, I mean, if you won't see any promotional material at all... by what measure do you judge whether or not you actually want to see something?!
  10. Ball joints from the three pre-2011 Constraction sets I have. All of the sockets have shattered over the years, not just the lime green ones. Also any plant pieces with those REALLY thin stems, and of course, hairline cracks on cheese slopes that have done nothing but be connected to a model for 2 months. I don't have any brown clips, I believe, so I can't vouch for that...
  11. Well, if you ask me... that picture of the inside of Krennic's ship looks real. If not, then they've got some excellent software to make LEGO capes act so realistically...
  12. Inception. *BWONG* Really interesting idea that was very well executed, great action sequences, and an overall mix of imagination and assuming that the viewers are geniuses (Interstellar's gonna be fun...) that turned out extremely entertaining.
  13. The Dark Knight, at last. It was exceptionally well written and acted, and the sheer darkness, brutality, and runtime didn't really bother me because it was so entertaining.
  14. I played with the AT-ST from the Battle of Endor set at a friend's house today... it does make me want the new one even more, and although that walking function is really neat, it's not all that useful... I am now willing to except limited leg motion for the new version, I personally don't think it's all that important. I'd much rather have a sturdy physics-defying walker than a realistic one that falls over all the time.
  15. Well... I would put "retired" in my signature, and just... walk away. No need for a dramatic exit, really.
  16. Type of dentist that specializes in braces and what have you.
  17. All righty... I have finally saved up enough reward points at my orthodontist to purchase the AT-ST! Too bad it won't be out for 4 weeks...
  18. I found another one... https://ideas.lego.com/projects/152707
  19. I know it's PT but... somebody mentioned the Invisible Hand earlier. I think the real reason it hasn't been done is that it's extremely similar to the Malevolence... which I thought sold terribly. A big downward protrusion might be able to be folded inwards for landing, or else they'd put it on a stand.
  20. Oh wow... I looked through all the pics on LEGO.com, and there are some very interesting things going on with these sets. Also, do the AT-ST's legs even move forward? This is not shown anywhere but the product video...
  21. I love that brick-built Classic Space logo... and also all of these NPU's to make other details.
  22. It's the Winter Holiday Train. Which was announced a few weeks ago but nobody really remembers.
  23. There's dust all over the studio model... wow. Um, LEGO, this is reflecting rather badly on you. But I don't really care, I can't afford it and the Rogue One sets all look better.
  24. Found another really crappy Bionicle one: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/152521
  25. About that guy who was asking about the Millenium Falcon: I think he meant the extremely vaguely rumored UCS Falcon that is supposed to arrive in the future...
