Quick question: We were told that LDD's last two (three, if counting the addition of that corner SNOT brick) updates came about because of some alternate model site that received entries in LDD format and thus required updates to put the new parts into the program, or something of that nature. Anybody know what that site was or what the status of it is? Because if that site still running, it's reasonable to assume that LDD will be updated accordingly, although I haven't heard anything about it since the micro update in February. ChristopherLee, I hope that the conflicting responses have a very good reason behind them... like, I dunno, the LDD people being too busy trying to resolve this to get a coherent message over to customer services, which would explain why every service rep seems to have a different idea of what's happening.

I would like to point out that this started on Thursday, and thus people would have been in at work the next day. Although, it's quite possible that more than one day (Friday) would be needed to clear this thing up, which would explain why nobody seems to know when it will be fixed. I have a guess that someone triggered the "send update" button early and the LDD people immediately disabled web access to the program so an incomplete software update didn't get sent out, and they're going to leave the internet connectivity like that until it's finished enough to be released.

Wait, really? That helmet would have to have been added earlier, which would put it before it actually appeared in any sets. I know that has happened before, most recently with that Star Wars fin element and the 11M axle in the March 2016 update. I won't complain, but I wonder how this manages to occur that unreleased parts end up in LDD ahead of time.

What was the last movie you watched?
PicnicBasketSam replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
In the past month I watched, for the first time, the following movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail Spaceballs The Medallion (mid-oughts Jackie Chan flick) The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Summer Wars Get Smart Wolf Children The Princess and the Frog Fast & Furious 4 Fast Five Taika Waititi's Boy Storks Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life Pirates of the Caribbean 5 xXx: Return of Xander Cage Monty Python was my favorite out of all that. Pirates 5 was really disappointing. Middle School is a pretty crappy kids' movie (unlike Storks. I really recommend that.) which, for some reason, has a literal M Night Shyamalan plot twist in it. I also quite disliked Fast Five, more than the other 3 of those movies I've watched. It was too long and too ridiculous and ceased to be any kind of enjoyable once it stopped being a heist movie. Summer Wars, The Girl Who Leapt Though Time, and Wolf Children are all terrific anime films by the same director. I highly recommend all three of them. -

Since last replying, I have watched: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 The Finest Hours Sing Hidden Figures La La Land Jack Reacher The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas 2 Fast 2 Furious The Mummy Returns Who Framed Roger Rabbit Laputa: Castle in the Sky Frogs (a B-movie from 1972. It's hilariously horrid.) For the first time. I think that La La Land was the best of that bunch, but nearly all of those were good or great movies. -

Went to see Doctor Strange last weekend. Thoroughly enjoyable Marvel film... it looks so cool that it has to be seen in theaters. Yesterday, I went to go see Arrival... that was a splendid movie. I won't go into much detail, but if you like more thoughtful sci-fi, you'll love it. -

The Hidden Fortress- my first Kurosawa. You can definitely see the influence on Star Wars, but I thought it was a bit too slow-paced and lengthy. House of Flying Daggers- Absolutely beautiful martial arts/romance in medieval China. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows- Better than the first, but still not that great. Goldfinger- quintessential Bond movie, the bit with the lady painted gold didn't make much sense at all. Signs- Suitably scary, but I stopped taking the film seriously after it was revealed that the aliens were allergic to water. -

I've watched quite a number of movies in the past week and a bit. Justice League vs. Teen Titans- It was OK, but I thought it would be more Civil War and less fighting some demon. WarGames- Very exciting and very funny... why did Cap watch this BEFORE Star Wars, though?! The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy- Both very good movies, although I'm not a huge fan of the jitter cam, especially in the 2nd. RED- Part road trip, part action movie, part rom-com... with a bunch of older actors having a blast. I really like that movie. -

I've watched quite a few movies since the forum upgrade. The Magnificent Seven (2016)- I quite liked it. Very exciting, Chris Pratt totally stole the show, but the last third was too loud. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies- very disappointing and ridiculous, although Dain was great. Batman: Assault on Arkham. I thought it was a much better Suicide Squad movie than Suicide Squad was, but I'm not sure how it got away with a PG-13 rating. -

Not a movie, really, but today I finished binging the second season of Star Wars Rebels. Most of it was entertaining and well-animated filler, but the intro was really cool and the finale was incredible. Anybody who won't give the animated shows a chance really needs to watch it. I cannot wait to see where the series goes from here... Ezra's tapping into the dark side, Maul's back in business, Ahsoka's out of the picture, Kanan's blind, and yet again we have more dead Inquisitors... and now, on Saturday, we have Thrawn. Woo-hoo! I hope Season 3 actually has him in it more... Oh, and before the third season premieres, I have hunted down the original Thrawn literature! This ought to be fun. -
What Video Game(s) are you playing?
PicnicBasketSam replied to Lego Spy's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I was playing Bloons Monkey City most of the summer... I stopped, however, because I built/researched everything available and I was running out of things to spend in-game money on. So, instead of grinding out the remaining 17 or so achievements, I just quit playing. -

That's a Boba Fett figure... him and two others got pushed to January for some reason. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Well... the old Separatist Shuttle was a pretty nifty set, I think, even if it does look kind of flimsy. I just hope there's actually room for a couple of minifigures inside of this one... if they gave it a full interior, I would certainly buy it. The Phantom in the show can fit like 6 people inside. -
I don't particularly care, really. I watched some of their reviews a couple years ago and they were horribly long and obnoxious, the reviewer took up most of the screen rather than the actual set... Jang and Sariel do far superior reviews, and between the two of them they review EVERYTHING. So I have no wish or need to watch the Brick Show, ever.
