  1. A while ago I experimented with some minifig photos that tell a story. It’s not quite tehinic but the skills could be carried over. PS I’m sorry if it’s a bit out of focus. BTW, can anyone guess how it’s done?
  2. I am amazed at how fast your skills have improved.
  3. neat! have you considered using a tripod? That idea might not work with my camera, as its 2 and a half pounds....but it looks good for those people with compacts.
  4. Ahh, there's your bokeh. I like to shoot at f/2.8 as well but with the canon 50 mm f/1.4.
  5. What camera/ lens combo are you using @kbalage? You have some nice bokeh there!
  6. if you are using bright lights, then you are going to be wanting a non-reflective background, so you don't get glare!
  7. @Leonardo da Bricki , composition is, of course, more than just the rule of thirds. It is about looking at a subject creatively to find the best angle. TOP is the picture I got when I gave one of my friends my camera (Who was proficient with cameras enough to use it) who quickly composed and took the shot, and BOTTOM is the picture I took, after looking at the subject creatively. My first pictures (I just got my camera some 7 or 8 months ago) are, by my current standards, terrible. But at the time I was completely satisfied and even pleased with them. My pictures never started to improve until I was hard on myself, and looked at everything I did with a critics eye. Photography is about looking at things differently. Most everyone is toting an iPhone or some modern photography machine, but what separates the true photographer from the social media snapper is form, finesse, and creativity. Look at things differently, find a new and unseen angle, and take the shot the best you can. A few examples from my collection.
  8. The (purposeful) vignette was pretty strong in the second picture. Also, the white balance changed (and I believe unintentionally) picture to picture. The sharpness and quality is OK, what camera (+ lens if applicable) are you using? Also, adding a slightly more creative photo could be neat, the setting and composition of your photos is all relatively cliche. (No offence) You asked for critique.,., and you got it!
  9. Hmm. I personally know that it is more than possible to fit independent suspensions (double wish-bones even) on a model of this size WITH VPP. Maybe you chose to leave that out for a reason, or maybe the customer requested it to be so, but I personally miss its presence.
  10. Works on IPad Pro with safari.
  11. The chassis is great, but the body work could use a little touch-up here or there. Nice work!
  12. I feel for you frame-deprived souls. I was like that once, but I couldn't handle it and I purchased several frame-heavy sets. I'm good with my 50+ frames.
  13. Hey, not bad! You can tell the DOF was added in post, but it still looks better than a straight-out-of-iPhone picture. PS- I thought the iPhone seven had had the dual cameras, for a Portrait mode with a DOF?
  14. I don't know if this is right, but it sound to me like this may be considered failed MOC? and would then be better suited in this compilation topic. I am assuming you did'nt put it here as a successful creation, but as a lesson for others? In that case it would be suitable in this topic. Your title says WIP. I assume that was a mistake, but if not, I apologize.
  15. You have to be careful though, if you care about image quality the peak point is usually in the mid-point of the aperture range. At f/32 at 250mm vs f/5.6, at 250mm, the sharpness differences are huge.
  16. The second photo is great! It makes the bike look 1:1!
  17. The front axle is very poorly connected to the chassis. You should consider taking a connecting approach more like you took with the rear axle.
  18. If you are supersede by the Lambo interior, I would palace money in the fact that it is photoshopped. Carbon fibre doesn't usually glow...
