  1. I bought a stack of Mixels Series 3 packs for $1 each at Walgreen's today.
  2. Thanks for the great review, Jim. I've read MANY reviews of this set since its announcement; and yours is the best (in my opinion).
  3. I have to vote for the A-Wing Pilot. That helmet is full of awesome.
  4. Thanks for a great review, WhiteFang. I hope this polybag is easier to get than the keychain polybag is.
  5. A: 1 - 4 - 7 B: 3 - 4 - 8 C: 6 - 8 - 10 D: 7 - 11 - 12
  6. My vote goes to the only trooper on the list, the First Order Snowtrooper.
  7. Books-A-Million had a couple copies of Jango Fett (75107) on clearance for $7.00 today. I felt obliged to buy them both (for obvious reasons).
  8. I am insanely envious of your Lego budget.
  9. My vote goes to FN-2187 (Jakku Version). Did I mention that I'm a sucker for troopers?
  10. I bought The Snow Hideout (21120) for $15 today at Books-A-Million. I just finished filling out BAM's online survey to get a certificate for $5 off my next purchase; so it looks like I'll be taking another trip to BAM soon.
  11. I can handle additional tariffs on fruits, vegetables, and other essentials; but additional tariffs on Lego....
  12. Honestly, raising the prices of battle packs seems less like a blatant cash grab and more like an adjustment to keep the prices of battle packs in line with the prices of other sets in the Star Wars theme (most of which have risen considerably over the last few years). Objectively speaking, battle packs are still a good deal ($15 per pack equates--to most AFOLs, at least--to $3.75 per minifigure plus a pile of spare pieces, which is a far better deal than microfighters or collectible minifigures). So, objectively speaking, the price increase is no big deal. In this case, though, it is difficult for me to be objective. That's because I'm a bargain shopper. I typically only buy sets after they've been discounted. Battle packs used to be the only sets I would pay full price for, precisely because they were such a good deal. Now that they are priced less competitively, I will wait until they go on clearance before I buy any. Ultimately, the price increase is an inconvenience to me; but it was probably a necessary change.
  13. The protruding brow is a nice detail.
  14. I think we all need to remember that TLG went far beyond its usual standards when creating minifigures for The Lego Batman Movie. I doubt that amount of detail will become the new standard (and, honestly, its unrealistic to expect it to).
  15. I bought Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle (41180) for $30 at Walmart today.
  16. I spend a lot of time (probably too much time, honestly) looking for deals. There are seven Walmarts, five Walgreens, two Targets, two Books-A-Millions, and a Toys-R-Us in and around the city I live in; and I visit them frequently. I usually walk out empty handed, though.
  17. I bought a TIE Advanced Prototype (75082) at Books-A-Million today for $10.00.
  18. Those were clearance prices. Walmart's clearance policy is extremely schitzophrenic (it varies wildly from store to store). I just happened to be in the right stores at the right times.
  19. There are some good deals to be found in retail stores; but it requires a lot of luck. My favorite finds so far include: LEGO Large Creative Box (10697) for $5.00 at Walmart; Batman in the Phantom Zone (30522) for $1.29 at Target; Azari and the Magic Bakery (41074) for $7.00 at Walmart; The Elves' Treetop Hideaway (41075) for $12.00 at Books-A-Million; Laval's Royal Fighter (70005) for $5.00 at Walmart; The Fortrex (70317) for $17.00 at Walmart; Death Star Final Duel (75093) for $19.00 at Walmart; and Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas (76026) for $17.00 at Walmart.
