Very supposably it isn't, giorgio. The red truck is supposably the truck from the Fire Truck With Boat set. The Repair Vehicle will imo supposably belong to the garage line. Since the Seaplane comes with some more accessory than the Post Plane I think that it'll be 13 Euros (as much as this year's tow-truck), Legoist. Btw: I really do not understand why so many of you dislike the Big Airport set that much. Of course the airplane included in this set is again much too huge. And there are only very less minifigs and accessory and the interior could even be better (with railings on the first floor and a surveillance (that the passengers don't take weapons into the planes)). But at least the exterior of the main building, the exterior of the tower and the small vehicle look imo very realistic, in modern architectual design and awesome! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this set list, darthperson! Since I'm not familiar with PoP I regrettably can't start off with these set names. The picture of this set does show that at least this set will be nothing very exciting. I could even imagine that supposably all the sets will be nothing very exciting - only the minifigs, the ostrich and the camel will be awesome! Btw: Can someone judge from the set names if we might perhaps get some sort of real-existing realistic looking (not futuristic) Arabian building in one of the sets - that would be awesome! Thank you very much for this pic and the link, Black Rabbit! To the Fire Truck (With Boat): Regrettably the boat can't been seen on the pic. But I really do not like the car to be six stuck wide - that would really not have been necessary - and the two axes on its front look reallly out of place! To the Fire Helicopter: I totally agree with you, metalandi! Like the CG Helicopter this Fire Helicopter is much too huge and looks much too <insert that tiresome argument>. I hoped for a small helicopter similar to the awesome one in the Helicopter Transport set from this year. To the Octan Tank Truck: For my layout it's much too big - but I think that kids will surely love it since it's desgined well and even includes car doors. To the Big Airport: I really like this Airport set! Especially the buildings look really realistic and very well designed and the interior is great, too! I even like that TLG put the tower extra and not on top of the main building. And it's great to see that we'll be getting a new female torso. I hope that this torso does not contain some sort of Airport sign - so you could use it as a civilian torso, too! The only two things I don't like are that the airplane is aagain that huge and that the upper floors in the airport have no railing. The exterior of the tower and the main building are that perfectly designed that imo these are the best Aiport buildings TLG has been producing until now! To the Seaplane: I'm really surprised that this is that a small and lovely set! I really like the classic style of the plane. And the anemometer with the Octan barrel is a nice addition. I'm not sure yet but perhaps I'll buy this set. It's a pity that they didn't display the Impulse sets, the Small Car and the Repair Vehicle there, too. Hopefully we'll be getting pics of these sets soon, too. Btw: Did you notice that the Octan Tank Truck includes green car doors?! This means a great possibility to get some cars with green doors - perhaps a taxi in the TRU Exclusive in summer (like it was seen in the drawings of the City Square and the Public Transportation Center)?! Thank you very much for this pic, ILikePi! The helmet of the Imp. Officer? looks like it would be light grey (instead of dark grey). But this minifig still has the regular common Imp. Officer troso - hopefully TLG will give him a new torso (and not do the same mistake as with General Veers who came with a totally common and regular Imp. Officer torso )! Klaus-Dieter

Thanks, I Scream Clone! I, too, think that a set similar to this one would not be too pricey but offer a very nice and lovely set you could add to the new Farm sets as well as to the regular City sets. Thank you very much for this information, Jesper! I didn't know that TLG already has invented them - I must have missed this one. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the link to the sets list, whung, and for the link to the picture of the set with the piglets, Rick! I'm sure that the Fire Helicopter and Fire Truck With Boat will surely be released in January, too, Capt. Tavares, although they aren't on this list. The road plates are only additional stuff but no real sets. So there would only be three sets for January - the Fire HQ, the Fire Boat and the Traveler - and that's really too less for one complete wave. To the Farmer, Traveler and Minifigure sets: I bet that these - at least the Farmer and the Traveler - will be Impulse sets. The name Minifigure doesn't let us know what it'll be - perhaps a train worker since it was rumoured that we'll get new train sets in summer. Or it might be another minifigure collection like this January. I can well imagine that the Farmer set will include a farmer, a pig and some tools. Or a farmer, a hare or two brick-built chicken and a small stable - that would be ! I bet that the Traveler will be an Impulse set. But I don't know what it might include - perhaps a traveler, two suitcases and a bicycle or another bench, a train clock, ...? Another camper would make no sense since the last one was firstly released in this year's June. The Piglets Enclosure With Tractor looks awesome! I'm surprised that it is such a big set with two minifigures, a big enclosure with some accessory and even three or four piglets! The tractor with fork and the hanger look great, too! I totally agree with you, Macoco! This list does now include a lot more interesting sets than the only Fire and Airport sets of which we had information before! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this information, mutley777! So if the rep wasn't mixing up something we finally get a minifig-scaled AT-AT. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this information, Bonaparte! First of all I must say that I don't collect Pirates sets and so I even did not buy one single set of this new line and even do not plan to. Nevertheless you perhaps remembered that from time to time I drop by. And I must admit that I really liked and still like looking at the pics of the new Pirates sets since they indeed look all awesome! Since there could be that many sets to complete this line - mainly islanders but even some additions to the soldier's harbor, perhaps a bigger pirates island etc. and what is a new Pirates line without a big soldier's ship?! - and since alll the sets out surely sold and still sell very well I really do not understand why TLG stops this line! Please forgive me if I'm sometimes writing in a bit unfriendly way but why do that themes like Power Miners and Space Police get their second wave (or even more waves), that new themes like Atlantis (which is in principle absolutely the same like Power Miners - but underwater) are released - but that themes like the new Pirates theme are discontinued?! That is really strange and makes me thinking! Oh, it's very well to foresee, posades - an theme called Atlantis and a <insert that tiresome argument> licensed theme called Ben10 - that's what I call the "high quality of Lego themes and sets"! Last Stand at Tierra De Los Muertos
Klaus-Dieter replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yippee! TheBrickster is back with a new Western MOC! This is really an absolutely amazing Western MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! The architecture and the many accessory and details you included look absolutely realistic and awesome! If you did not write that this is a new MOC of yours but add an official Lego background to it and a fictional new Western logo and you stated that this will be a new Western set I immediately would have believed you! It's really a shame that TLG doesn't engage you as a set designer! Or wait ... you and BrickMiner could open up a new company producing only Lego Western sets - then TLG immediately would notice how silly they were to not release some new WW sets and to not engage you as a set designer! Very, very well done! I can't await more pics! (Hopefully there'll be a promising interior?! ) Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for this great review, Section8! I didn't know that there was a set that containes only light bricks - and even that many and in that many different sizes, colors and designs! They look really awesome! Klaus-Dieter

I totally agree with Rick - this is really a great idea, Rapseflaps! I would so much like to see some more civilian houses, shops, stands, vehicles, minifigs and accessory! But since TLG firstly released the brilliant City Corner this summer I highly doubt that we'll see some sort of new Main Street already next summer. But the exclusive TRU City set next summer surely will be great. TLG has been surprising us in the last years with a lot of awesome sets in many different themes - we would never have expected them - so who knows?! - In the end we'll get another civilian set with some civilian buildings, too. Wishful dreaming. Klaus-Dieter

Best SW set in the 10 years of Lego Star Wars
Klaus-Dieter replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's great to see that there are so many people interested in this topic! I totally agree with many of you which say that there have been that many awesome SW sets - mainly in the last years - released by TLG that it is really very hard to vote for the one favourite or "best" of all. Nevertheless - after a long time of thinking - my vote goes to the 10188 Death Star  since it includes that many scenes to play, a lot of awesome minifigures and brilliant interior design. I regrettably don't own this set since I can't afford it. Nevertheless it's my favourite SW set of the past ten years and I really hope that in some years I'll have enough money to be aible to buy it. Klaus-Dieter -
It seems as if the Fire Boat looks really much better than the previous version - I would even say (judging from this very first preliminary and blurry picture on which you can't see the boat from all sides and its interior) that it can match with the fire boats from the 70s, 80s and 90s! Which I really like is that it is bigger (perhaps a bit too huge!) and that it includes a real and decent bridge. I'm really curious about whether there'll be a decent interior included, whether there'll be windows downstairs or only some fences (like in the big CG boat) and whether the small boat fits in the back of the ship and how it can be driven in and out. If all these things worked fine I'll perhaps buy this neat and realistic looking fire boat since it surely would look good next to the last cargo harbor, the Police Boat from 1991 and the CG Platform. Since TLG releases this Fire Boat I hope that we'll get some civilian/cargo ships and/or harbor stuff in summer, too. But I fear that this won't be the case since there'll already be new Train sets - plus a bank, a post office, a grocery and some other more civilian sets are even more needed than some new harbor/ship sets (although they'd of course be welcome!)! Klaus-Dieter
-
I totally agree with you, prof1515! Since the last version of the Cantina was really a flop and since TLG regrettably doesn't include some Tuskens and a Bantha in the new Luke's Landspeeder set these sets are really a must! And a new Cloud Car - at the best with a fleesh Lobot and a Cloud Car Pilot (which would be a new minifig since we don't have one until now) - is always welcome, too. Although I regrettably very supposably wouldn't be aible to afford this one I really like this your idea, Oswald the Rabbit! Imo a new Jabba's Palace does not necessarily have to be that big and include that many minifigs. But I totally agree with you that a new Jabba's Palace set is really needed: a bigger version (with hinge system would be great!) with more interior and some new minifigs! Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for that link, Kanal-K1! Like I feared the new Fire HQ won't be that interesting: In the Big Fire Department there is no single civilian minifig included, no really new vehicle (only bigger ones), no scenery which burns to rescue, again only two garages and the tower looks absolutely unrealistic with that much windows in it (that could be a hospital but not a fire HQ)! So please tell me where there is the big improvement which justifies to release this new fire HQ and so have much less chances to get brilliant civilian sets?! I think that this is no yellow stretcher but a yellow net like shown in this picture: Hopefully we'll see some pics of the City Runabout, the Repair Car and the Piglets Enclosure With Tractor, soon, since these three are namely the only regular City sets of the first half of 2010 in which I'm (supposably) interested! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this information, einsteinonthebeach! I even thought that the light brick has to be placed in the upper room since in the room downstairs there has to be place for toys and the Christmas tree is too small to have room for a light brick inside. Since you say that the upper room is where the shopkeeper makes his toys I wonder how much interior there might be since there is already the light brick which needs a lot of space (plus I bet that the battery box is placed next to it inside the small roof (above the shop)). I can't await to see more pics and a review and then to finally buy this brilliant and set! Klaus-Dieter

I did mean the regular minifigure, not the building toy. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the link and the short summary of the whole discusssion, Clone O'Patra! Perhaps even the rep meant the CTT since it looks in some way a bit - but really only a bit - similar to the AT-AT (grey, white minifigs, etc. if the rep does not know much about SW he perhaps even doesn't know the difference between those two vehicles). I know this sounds a bit strange and I really hope that the information is right. But it's firstly that early that imo the best thing is to wait before being that lucky about this set and then it turns out to be only the CTT or an AT-AT but not minifig-scaled. Klaus-Dieter

Hello everybody! Although this year is really not still going towars its final end, all sets for this year have been released and so I had an idea: There are now 10 years of Lego Star Wars! (What an exciting news! ) Of course there were not only amazing sets - there were some average sets, too, and even some poor sets. And the likes and dislikes of everyone of us are of course different, too. But I think that all in all there have been ten great years with lots and lots of awesome sets with great vehicles, brilliant minifigs and nice additional stuff. But which is your favourite Lego Star Wars set of all these many sets which have been released in these past 10 years? Let us know - comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
-
So I'm sorry - at least I haven't seen only blurry pics of them before. Btw: Does someone know whether the wings of Capt. Buzz Lightyear can be run in and out? Klaus-Dieter

Thanks for correcting that, Clone O'Patra! Of course the last version was included in the Hoth Rebel Base - I should know since I own it! Nevertheless in next spring it's about 2,5-3 years ago that the last version appeared - so for TLG a really not too short time when regarding how often some of the well-known vehicles are re-designed. You mean the UCS Millenium Falcon from 2007, don't you, ADHO 15? I really hope that we'll never get again such a totally overprized and totally useless UCS set (apart from that UCS sets and midi- and mini-scaled sets are imo all totally useless - but that's a different subject)! If the AT-AT will be like the UCS Millenium Falcon I will surely not buy it - firstly because it would (like the UCS MF, too) not include any interior, secondly because it would be much too huge, thirdly because I surely won't have the money to buy it and fourthly since even if I had the money I would not spend such much money on such a useless set! I really hope that the new AT-AT will be minifig-scaled and be about the size of the two last versions. And I even bet that it'll be: Since there are so many Hoth sets this and next year (Echo Base, Snowtroopers BP, Rebel Troopers BP and Wampa Attack) a minfig-scaled AT-AT would make the most sense and fit the best since you could easily add it to all the other Hoth sets and create a whole (Battle of) Hoth diorama! Klaus-Dieter

Two new ideas I really would like to see: SW Magnet Set Imperial Trooper 10 Euros Expand your Star Wars minifigure collection! including three dark grey magnets minifigs: Imperial Trooper with small gun, Rebel Mechanican (from the last version of the red A-Wing) with wrench and Scout Trooper with small gun Luke's Arrest On Endor 100 Euros Meet Darth Vader on Endor and make Luke ready for the flight to Emperor Palpatine in the second Death Star! a landing platform (that accommodates an Imperial Shuttle) on some pillars, with a small open hallway (where Luke meets his father) (perhaps even an elevator, a small weapon chamber and a small contorl room - but not absolutely neccessary) including an Imperial Shuttle with a gangway that opens in the front (beneath the cockpit), some boxes, barrels and weapons minifigs: Luke in Endor outfit, Darth Vader, Imperial Officer, two Stormtroopers, Imperial Shuttle Pilot and Imperial Officer with black suit (the copilot) Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this great review, Lorentzen! I voted for Outstanding  since this set is simply outstanding! I luckily own this one - the S@H version but apart from different tumblers there is no difference. It includes that many lovely and awesome stuff: -brilliant architecture -five awesome minifigures!!! -even one female minifig -a lovely garden with a loggia to sit outside -two nice places to sit upstairs -a great interior for the kitchen! -a lot of plants: a big palm, yellow and red flowers in and outside -a lot of accessory: many tumblers, a tray, a pan and a pot What do you want more?! Perhaps only something delicious to eat?! Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this great review, paanjang16! I voted for Outstanding  since this set simply includes everything basic for chasing criminals on the earth, on the sea and in the sky: -a helicopter -a small motor boat -an all-terrain vehicle -a motorcycle -two police men -one police helicopter pilot -a lot of accessory: a life west, a warning trianlge, two security lights and a handy A perfect a addition for all Police sets and all City sets in general! (Luckily I own two! ) Klaus-Dieter

Don't understand me wrong, Forresto, I personally don't need a second Snowspeeder, too! But you have not only to think of our point of view but even from TLG's point of view: There has always to be something new included in a re-designed version - otherwise at least those people which already own the former version(s) won't buy it. The last version of the AT-AT (which is still available on S@H) included two elements the first version didn't have: a wrong General Veers minifigure and a PF motor. So if we got a new AT-AT next year it has to - and I bet it surely will - include some new elements, too. New and exclusive minifigs are always welcome. But which could be included in this set (apart from a right torso for General Veers)?! Apart from that new minifigs aren't everything - there has to be something other new included, too. But the new speederbike is already included in the Snowtroopers BP. So?! The only content which would be really new and surely be very interesting for all of us would be - like already mentioned - an additional room for the Hoth Rebel Base and the big round ion turret. And a Snowspeeder would add a lot of playability for kids to this set (plus the last Snowspeeder was released in 2005!) - so I do not hope and do not want but I could well imagine that TLG will include a new Snowspeeder. Some interior and a cockpit that really fits three minifigs (two AT-AT Drivers and General Veers behind them) would of course be great! But I regrettably don't see this happen - at least not the interior. What should TLG include there? Ok, a floor and a gate would be a start. But what then?! Perhaps again some seats like in the first version?! e. g. an engine room doesn't sound very interesting, too. Klaus-Dieter
