Nyx stands in a desert, the least Grogmassy place she can think of, and watches as Grogmas letters appear in front of Atramor. "That time again already." she mutters to herself. In the lull of activity she pens a few letters. And she includes her Oneupshroom (works as a Phoenix Essence when eaten) with her letter to Boomingham. Whilst digging through her items her shiny helmet falls on her foot, causing her to swear under her breath. She picks it up and looks at it, wondering what she can do with it, and an idea forms where she might make someone else happy. Nyx somehow manages to finagle the helmet into the envelope to Fabian before sending it off. She sighs and turns her attention to one last letter. With the last letter written, she sighs again and sends it off, her head full of memories.

OoC: Sorry Sandy, but Nyx shouldn't have been damaged by the Ghoul F, as it was blinded (penultimate round), and that with her Natural Respite should have her back at full health, thanks. Nyx catches Catnips wink and smiles wistfully back. "I'll miss you. Please take care of yourself, and I hope we meet again." she manages as she waves Catnip off. Nyx accepts her spoils wordlessly and nods in assent that they should keep moving.

Nyx switches to her Zee's Standard, glaring at the remaining enemies as she hides a wince. She focuses another Water spell on Dune Ghoul F from the back row.

"Well, I reckon Catnip will finish off the Sand Devil, and I'll go for Dune Ghoul B as there's a good chance I'll be able to kill it" Nyx repeats another Water spell at Dune Ghoul B still through her Lullaby Wand, from the back row.

OoC: Sorry Sandy, I don't think Docken should have taken the 38 Earth damage from the "Bury in the Sand" special as he's still immune to Earth damage, and my counter should have been 36x4 not 36x2 as Nyx is encouraged and the enemy was weak to that element. "Looks like C is left for me" Nyx repeats her Water spell attack on Dune Ghoul C through her Lullaby Wand from the back row.

"I didn't think it was a waste of time, actually; I thought there was a good chance I could kill it." Nyx nevertheless diverts her attack (as before) to Dune Ghoul B.

"Yes" Nyx replies in a small voice "not quite like that, really, but almost. I don't think my story has finished, but I do know we can't choose who we fall in love with. I think we fight for similar reasons, you and I. And we have the same goals." She sighs, a sigh laden with sadness "I can't force you to stay, obviously, and I wouldn't. But I would like you to, and I think we can help each other."

Nyx feels herself getting more and more unsettled with the arguing. It's harder for her to keep control. "Catnip, please, she's old, and she's just annoyed you don't do what she says, but she's not a bad person, she's just used to commanding people like her horde." Nyx shrugs uncomfortably and turns "Namyrra, can't you see Catnip's passion here? She really is fighting for a damn good reason, and we need her." Nyx glances around, her eyes resting sadly on Atramor's motionless form "We really need her." She sighs. "Catnip, I know you want to focus on the demons, but we want them dead as much as you do, we really do. Maybe we're just more used to fighting in a team than maybe you are, but a lot of what we do in Heroica relies on strategy and teamwork. Will you work with us? If Namyrra asks you nicely to do something?" Nyx looks sideways at Namyrra meaningfully Meanwhile, Nyx prepares another Aquamarine (water) spell through her lullaby wand from the back row at Dune Ghoul A.

OoC: I used the wand in case I rolled a Shield. Nyx looks around, feeling slightly sore, but sees Catnip breathing slightly more heavily. "Brace yourself Catnip, this will probably hurt you more than it hurts me." Nyx prepares to belt Catnip with her Healing Staff from the back row.

Nyx changes her Diamond for her Aquamarine and casts a Water spell instead at Dune Ghoul A, still through her Lullaby Wand, and still from the back row.

"I really should have known..." she sighs "What the hell are they weak to?" Nyx looks from the "Earth" enemies to her collection of gems and back again, shrugging. She digs out her Diamond in the end, for is is her bestest friend (as she's a girl), and casts a Light spell at Dune Ghoul A through her brand new Lullaby Wand from the back row.

Nyx removes her water canteen and replaces it with her Sandman's Parasol, to shield her pale skin from the bright sunshine. She continues looking around as she quenches her thirst further with a Mead. "I'm good to go." she nods, resisting the urge to wipe her mouth with the sleeve of her robe.

Sorry, I hate OoC stuff, but can we safely remove the water canteens now? We're not technically in a desert anymore, I take it? Nyx raises her face to the sun, closing her eyes. She opens them again as Atramor speaks and regards the ziggurat. "It's bigger than I expected."
