Heroica RPG- Quest #96: Tying up Loose Ends
Pandora replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
OoC: Thanks Scuba, sorry I didn't notice. "Well, at least I didn't miss." Nyx waves cheerily at Barty and takes a deep breath. She stays forward and once more sends a Darkness spell through her Standard, this time at the Bum. -

OoC: so... the High Heels. Damage adjustment for the last round going to happen? Inclusion in this round? Nyx's eyes flicker from Barty to the Jinxed Ruffian. "Thanks" she half-smiles at Atramor "I'll try not to" She steps forward, and once more summons the power of Darkness through her Standard at the Ruffian. -

OoC: Scuba, my inventory is wrong - I had changed my equipment and bought some stuff before starting the quest - it's all on my stats page (even though I still haven't added in the song given by Boomingham there either) - and Nyx is wearing her High Heels, which should affect her damage output, because if they don't they need to be reclassified so that they do, as was originally intended. "I don't really want to wake anyone up unnecessarily; are you all sure about your targets?" Nyx looks at her comrades "And it's Elpis" she hisses at Atramor Nyx focuses a Darkness spell on the new Bum through her Standard from the back row. -

Heroica RPG- Quest #96: Tying up Loose Ends
Pandora replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
Nyx glares up at the 'Nightmaster', muttering "coward" under her breath. She sighs and focuses on the assembled masses. "Eeeny, meeny, miney...." she scans across the gathered ruffians "Moe." She grins malevolently, casting a Darkness spell at the Scoundrel through her Standard from the back row. -

Nyx slips carefully down from her vantage point (presumably in just the same way Patsy had done), downs a Mead, and strides over to stand next to her comrades. "Can't we just kill them all? This place smells bad. I want to be somewhere else. And that guy looks like someone I saw on a poster once." Nyx points at the ruffian who'd first mentioned the Nightmaster. -

"Well done Patsy, we are indeed new. So, have you noticed anyone else new around here? Do you know of a Wolfgang? I'd really like to meet them. Perhaps if you know who they are or where they are I might go away and leave you alone." -

"Then I shall call you Patsy. So, Patsy, have you seen any new 'thievers' recently? People you haven't seen before?" Nyx looks around the area for any unusual behaviour, always keeping half an eye on Patsy, ready for trouble. -

Nyx narrows her eyes as her mouth forms a wide grin. "I like danger, actually. You got a name? Never met a Kobold before. So watcha up here looking for in particular?" -

"Oh, ok. Well, at least I asked about the knife. So, is there anything else to see up here aside from thieves? What species are you, out of interest?" -

Pandora replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
OoC: Have to agree with Zeph, your MOC is gorgeous Scuba, really nicely done. "Dunno yet. What've you got?" she looks around, climbing level, always facing the questioner "Is that your knife? Can I have it? And what're you doing up here?" -

"That's all I wanted to know. I asked you nicely, maybe I should have just punched you repeatedly in the face until you told me." Nyx glares at the girl and stalks off towards Skrall. "Hey big guy, can you give me a lift up? I wanna get up on the roof over the fire, maybe see what I can see. Wouldya mind?" -

Nyx approaches the girl with the green waistcoat, smiling slightly bashfully as she does so. "Hello, sorry to bother you. I'm recovering from a rather epic drinking session and I seem to be a teensy weensy bit lost. I know it's a strange question but, where am I please?" -

Nyx sets down the red jug and surreptitiously pushes it away from her with her foot, looking in the opposite direction as she does so. "Sorry dude, but seriously you live in a warehouse? How the hell was I supposed to... ok ok ok, sorry. Sorry." She shrugs and turns, watching with mild amusement as Ellaria furiously scribbles a to-do list. "One more thing, I remember they weren't too keen on magic users in Strivvi. I remember I had an alias while we were there last time - didn't we all? I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure I asked to be called Lyssa last time, and it might be best if we don't mention magic. Like, at all. Especially arriving through a dirty great pentagram. So, unless there's anything else we need to do, I'm ready to go too." -

Nyx sees Larry's glance. "There's more than one..." she indicates the pile with her now empty hand, still holding the red jug in the other, though. -
Heroica RPG- Quest #96: Tying up Loose Ends
Pandora replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Hello Patricia, how lovely to see you again. And so soon, too." Nyx waves cheerily. She walks past the pentagram, eying it carefully and definitely not stepping over or into it, and starts to rummage through the stuff on the other side of the room. She picks up the red jug and sniffs. "Can I drink this?" she asks nobody in particular, and giving it a shake with one hand as she picks up a pretzel with the other. A sideways look up at her own head (that doesn't work) reassures her she has her helmet back on as she takes a bite of the pretzel. "Sho" she gesticulates with the pretzel and jug, and speaks with a full mouth "we need to, omm, excuse me, shoose a leader." she clears her mouth, swallowing "Well really I think any of us could do it, and I'd trust any of you to be leader. Ellaria, you say you've never been a leader before? Every time I see you you've grown a bit stronger, and more importantly bolder. I think this would be good for you, and you'd be good at it, too. Develop some of that inner strength stuff. Yeah, Ellaria." and in punctuation she finishes off the pretzel she's eating, grinning. -

Nyx comes running towards the others, her heels clattering and skittering as she races along. "Hello, hello, I'm here, sorry." she pants slightly "Do you know how many warehouses there are in Eubric? Loads. Anyway, I'm here, I'm ready. Hello again everyone! You're all looking well, except you Skrall - hey, big guy, save your remedy and borrow my helmet for a moment, it should sort any sickness right out." Nyx extends her arm, on tiptoes, and just about manages to push her Helmet of Azzurat onto Skrall's head, where it looks a little silly. She makes absolutely sure to take it back and put it back on before walking into any warehouses, though. OoC, stats were good, until I did some last minute shopping. I've updated my stats post, so the info's all there. -
Nyx swings by the Maketplace, first to Fabian's to have her spare Amethyst and her Scroll of Sleep imbued into her Mirage Cloak, (582-50-50=482) and then with a smile and a wave she races off to Portia's, grabbing another 2 Meads and 2 Nostrums (482- [(15x2)+(35x2)]=382 gold remaining) before rushing off to where she was supposed to be.

Hey! I'm right here! I'm in the process of doing stuff, and I'll post in the quest shortly. While I'm here, can I please remind players to refrain from mini-modding, no matter how tempting it may be. Thank you.

Nyx picks up the sheet of music, unfurling it as if entranced, and looking at the symbols that meant nothing to her, before looking at Boomingham wide-eyed. "Th.. thank you" she stammers "I have no idea what to do with this, but... that you'd just give this to me, that's just so kind. Usually people expect something in return for something like this, but you're giving this to me freely? That's..." Nyx's look of amazement breaks back into the grin she usually has around Boomingham and she raises her now full glass to him as a toast. "Your good health, your majesty." She takes a deep breath, smiling but clearly trying to control her emotions. "So, uhm, yes, Atters and I were in a desert. A bit like the one we were in all that time ago, except with fewer bugs and more archdemons - we killed two you know!" Nyx nods slowly and proudly "and yes, it was dry, so thank you so much for that mead you sent, hell's teeth I needed that. I was squeezing water out of my Aquamarine just to stay alive, but water? Seriously? Boooring. So we traipsed across a desert, several times thanks to a double-crossing git, but we killed him and Namyrra raised him as one of her undead. You know Namyrra? Old, odd looking, Fenarian woman with strange habits. Anyway, she's a Necromancer now, so we had a horde of undead following us around. Do you know how much they smell? Especially in the heat of a desert. Oh, there was one hilarious bit you would have loved; halfway through a battle, Atters got spammed with some doozey and went running off into the desert on his own, arms and legs all over the place. It was so funny, I wish you'd seen it, but don't tell him, I don't think he enjoyed the "nearly dying of dehydration" bit. Oh, and guess what? That chicken of his is a bloody demon! All the more reason to cook the damn thing, although I'm less keen on eating it now. I think it talks to him, you know. Do you like my cloak? I took it off the body of the woman who double-crossed us. I rather like it, and I like deserts I think, especially the last one - it had a bar. So did you get the 'shroom? I couldn't part with a drink, but I know that booze isn't your only vice." She risks a cheekily pointed look at Larry's belly. "Anyway, I'm glad you're coming to Strivvi. It'll be good to get everyone back together again. I haven't seen Skrall or Ellaria or whatsisname the elf for aaages. Sounds like Ellaria's a lot tougher now, that's good. She's really very sweet, but I'm glad she's got a bit of oomph about her. It can be a nasty world out there and occasionally she seemed almost too fragile to leave the Hall." Nyx trails off and pays more attention to her drink again, which is still worryingly full, especially compared to Larry's. Not for long, however.
-
Nyx grins widely as she hears the voice, still facing the bar before turning around to her drinking companion and grinning even more, but with a little mischievous look in her eye. "Larry! You old goat, still alive I see." she nudges his shoulder with hers before failing to resist the temptation to throw her arms around him and hug him tightly. "It's about damn time you got here, there's a helluva lot of drink to be drunk and I need someone dependable to drink with, and there's no-one I can depend on for that more than you old man. Tell me your stories if you want, it's probably a damn sight better than your singing." And with a further grin she raises her glass to Boomingham before draining it in one and ordering yet another.

I've added you, welcome. Hello Fritzy, welcome to Eurobricks. I note that this is your first and only post. I don't want to discourage you from joining the academy, but it would be great to hear more about you as a member - for instance you could introduce yourself in the "Hello! My name is..." thread. I'll be happy to add you once you've been here a little longer and we've got to know you a little more.
-
Nyx returns from a long soak at the bathhouse to ease her muscles, and her mind, happily scented with exotic flowers and now free from the blood and sand that had accumulated in the desert. She nods thanks to Namyrra as she accepts the gold. "A fine team; we did well. Even Byblos came into his own and made Heroica proud. I've quested with you all before, and would be more than happy to do so again." and she smiles warmly before moving off to find a drink. As she walks, her eyes spy the questboard, and the name "Strivvi" leaps out at her. Without hesitation she signs her name for Quest #96, nodding to herself as if in satisfaction as she does so, before heading for the bar and a very heavy drinking session.

Thank you so much for the fun quest, Sandy. It was a great story with fun NPCs and some interesting twists. I really appreciated that you gave us the opportunity to go back into Eubric for Elphaba before she left, plus the "optional" boss battle against Namaah (who wouldn't say yes to another battle? ). You put a lot of extras into the quest for us (the clams game springs to mind) and I always appreciate touches like that. So thanks again for yet another great Sandy quest.
