  1. This looks quite fun. The undefeated champion of Samrd'dha's coliseum Rakta Vasana, he wields a golden warhammer given as a gift from the Maharaja, the warhammer is magical and grants the wielder great strength. The Maharaja has wished for him to represent the City of Samrd'dha in the Drow Gladiator Games in Nocturnus.
  2. Your stories and mocs keep getting more and more interesting, I love your faction of werewolves. An idea for the roof, if you have any hinged bricks and some plates you could use those for a pointed roof, or even just plates on top of plates for a gentle slope. I like the bits of detail like the wake on ship, the raggy custom sail and the way you've made the ruins, very cool
  3. Well, firstly Falcons and Forestmen have been long overdue, as have cowboys but that's for another post, it would be nice to see them revived. I do have a soft spot for fantasy with trolls and dwarves etc, unfortunately I missed the chance to buy them, the vikings tbh I didn't really like. However with Lotr you could definately make an army of dwarves from lots of Gimlis so this could rule out Fantasy. I'd really love to see a Roman vs Barbarians theme, like the movies King Arthur and The Eagle although maybe tlg could make their sets more historically acurate then the movies. Cheers
  4. Kinda but alot better like a whipeout style, think exo force meets world racers, Was exo force an action theme? I thought it would have been more scifi, I think this whipeout style theme could be action though. Anyways, you could probably use a dice for power ups and stuff like that, could be fun.
  5. Solarpunk reminds me of an episode from The Colony when they build a solar powered buggy from scrap, was pretty cool, they guy crashed it and I loled. Anyways, with the talk of mechas and stuff like Exo Force and racing I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it (atleast I don't think so, I haven't really checked), what about a whipeout-esque theme, with a modular race track like a raised freeway, you could still have the anime style characters but with some really hot looking futuristic racers, with play features like weapons and stuff, I'm imagining the level of detail equivalent to nnenn's work just from the top of my head, this maybe too scifi though but it could be some kind of merged theme, maybes? Cheers.
  6. Anime land? This is a great moc, very beautiful, great use of colours and those trees are fantastic, I'd never thought of using those 'ribbed' bricks for the trunks, I do like the look of the plates for the leaves, I may have to give that a go
  7. Hey guys, Welcome to all new members and great job on the mocs. I've been cracking on with my embassy these past few days after finally deciding on what to do and finding some time between Skyrim and other stuff. If I can I'll get some wip pics up. Another thing that has come to mind, I've noticed that some other guilds have a list of Gods and Deities and figured we should have a list to, accompanied with some small mocs and a story, we've already got a handful, we just need some pics. After the embassy challenge I'll try and crack out some, I also want to try a dragon/wyvern and ofcourse start my city. I think now I regret doing such a big city on my own, but nevermind it gives me plenty of things to do. Cheers. Edit WIP Pics of Embassy in Konugard, Mitgardia. First floor, Second Floor, Outside, Not finished yet but almost there, interior to do, any ideas are appreciated, obviously some tiling, table and chairs, local mead and imported wine mmm, the roof is to do, it will have a kind of walkway lookout balcony thing on top with some domes and stuff and snow. I'm sure I had some dark tan droid arms to make a spindly tree, idk, I'll try and fit a tree in somewhere. Ha, I've just spied that gold jumper plate isn't sitting right above the fire (goes to fix it). Cheers.
  8. Very nice, love that sand red, the structure has a nice clean look to it and that window is a great idea! I also like the flag pole which I haven't seen yet in other mocs. Maybe some bushes and a small animal like a snake/scorpion/spider/rat. I can also imagine this to be part of a larger moc like this would be the gate keep/entrance building. The tent and path are nice too, good job
  9. Hi Si, I haven't thought of a story for the guy yet but he's still in my collection so there's hope. The oasis was a test of landscaping for me, with my embassy I've progressed quite a bit imo, with help from DC's guide, so I should be done before the deadline and maybes get a WIP pic up. Cheers.
  10. Damn those figs are nice, the detailed torsos, more capes, Gimli's helmet (lol), Lego-las' hair, I wonder how the orcs will look and the new weapons, I think I'll definately get a few sets, we'll see how much they are
  11. He'll be wearing a scabbard to try and hide the ponytail. If I come across something better then I'll use it. I like your village as you can do it all in one layout, I may have my hands full with my city, I should have done a small fishing town or something The scene with the orc sounds fun, look forward to seeing it. Cheers.
  12. Hey, that looks really great so far, the flowers and sign are nice but I think the bushes in the front should be in some plant pots if y'know what I mean. Ooh ooh, idea, use tires for plantpots? Maybes not for bushes but for small flowers and stuff, food for thought. Good job, look forward to updates
  13. Yeah, I've only really seen it on the police set boxes and it looks duploey on their but now upon further inspection I reallise it does look pretty awesome. I think we need someone to compare the two, next time I'm in town I may have to buy the robbers hideout as that's the cheapest one with it in and if you've seen the prices on bl you'll have a heart attack Anyways, I can see a new agents/spy theme coming round, especially with the movies like James Bond, Johnny English, Spy Kids, etc alla audiences could go for that, I can see TLG making some kind of grapple gun that actually fires, would be cool. Also, a real chainlink fence would be nice, the old agents set with the barbed wire pieces didn't do it for me and now those pieces are quite expensive. Steampunk, yes, if done well, I'd totally go for that however I don't think it's something TLG would do because the audience is quite small and if they did it would probably fail like PQ did Wild West, idk, Aliens vs Cowboys maybe but then would that be sci-fi? I think an action outdoors theme would be good, river rapids raft race, mountain rescue HQ, copter and off-roader, fishing, rock climbing/absailing, microlights, parachutes, mountain biking, camping, etc. Could be more like town but could also be pushed for action maybes. Also I think any kind of hunting would be against TLGs rules, just give one of those hillbillies a gun from ba and make him chase the bear or maybe the other way round Transformers could be cool if done right, but I think that might be more like heroes/ bionicle style stuff but still could work, it definately has legs/wheels. Dieselpunk I think is grating against TLGs rules again and they're more about eco friendly stuff, steampunk should be alright. TBH the action theme I cared least for were the racers, I thought they were well just a bit boring, same stuff different theme, cars/vehicles racing etc.
  14. Night time in the barren desert is incredibly cold aswell as along the coast.
  15. Mine won't be as complex as DerfelCadarn's mocs but it'll have some different pieces and stuff. Originally I wanted to incorporate a part of your village, the mill and river, however I feel pushed for time because I'm hooked on Skyrim so it'll probably just be my embassy and the river maybe, or landscaping, we'll just play by here. Oh, I hope this is alright for your char's torso, It's the only one I have close enough, do you have an image of it? Cheers LD I think we all suffer from this but I'm sure you'll come up with something great
  16. Thank you for the advice, it can get quite cold in the desert too but we are prepared for Mitgardia.
  17. Niku Thank you for the video it's a great idea to put all/most mocs of each guild into one video and the music is cool too NM Your embassy looks great, the 2 styles blend well and the touch of medium blue is much better adding a bit more colour, good job, look forward to seeing it in bricks
  18. Hey LT, that bank is brilliant, I like the hinge part used on the atm. For a car how about a little smart car? I think it's kinda european, maybe? Easy enough to do, could have a few. Also, 6 wide for a car might be too wide for my tastes anyways, 5 wide would probably be spot on but a bit harder to do. I always thought 6 wide for vans and trucks was alright but cars too big, IMO. MMM that Suzuki Wagon, we have it here in England too, alot of oaps driving too slow, if they walked they'd go faster
  19. I'd like any theme aslong as they bring out some new animal moulds, but hopefully not in the new style bear, that's so ugly If it's a jungle/orient theme then the old elephant and a new tiger would be good.
  20. Very cool moc, and your out of the box style of photography to get the Kunai? straight is pure genius also cool dragon.
  21. Thanks for the review, I'll be keeping my eye out for these in my local toy store, I'd like a couple of those masks and those sais are pretty cool. Also that golden chainsaw blade would make a cool zombie killing weapon in an apocalypse rpg. Cheers.
  22. Greetings from Kaliphlin, I'll definately be building after the official historica competition thing is over, perhaps after the comp historica could slowly decay into all out war, comps for building the biggest, the strongest and super cool war machines could be done and so on. I've got my city to build too and I'd like to get it done the end of this year but if not I'll be continuing till 2013 anyways. Not to mention that Lotr sets will be out and there will be plenty of medievil/fantasy pieces around, hopefully.
  23. This made me smile. The plume piece as blood is good "Come back I'll bite ya legs off!"
  24. Actually I never really thought about it, I might have to change it because it makes more sense if it is fresh water, just thought it was a bit different. I imagine the river to be deep and wide enough for most ships, just not the really really big ones so a trans-shipment at Barqa could be possible. Those shops are great, inventor's wrokshop, alchemist's, clothier's and wine merchant's, there's already a shipyard #17, thank you for the comments.
