Ska so Al'derak is your town, you could do what others have done and put it on the map. Like my city of Samrd'dha. And I think a travel agency is a great idea, I thought about having some kind of tourist information kiosk thing in my embassy.

Saladus al Juhtiv, your catamaran is an excellent ship to traverse the dune sea and the addition of the ballista will be great for defending our lands, quick and mobile I can see many of these navigating across the dune sea. Back in my home city of Samrd'dha we called these catamarans of the desert 'Dune Skimmers' at high speeds their light weight hulls would skim the surface of the sands but be vary of dunes, there have been many a wreck lost in this unforgiven land buried under the sands but I'm sure your navigator is skilled enough and is aware. (Damaximus, it reminds me of the lost city of Hamunatra from The Mummy movie.) -

Welcome Saladus al Juhtiv and your band of mercenaries, they are a fine bunch indeed, I Kcaj Nosnikta have heard many tales of The Nahtamatu and I have to say that it is an honour to have you in the guild of Kaliphlin. -
Yeah I know at those angles are difficult even if just using bricks it still doesn't look as good, now you could use some of these attatched to headlights and if there is a gap bridge it with a tile or should be the right size and both are available in tan on bricklink however the second one is about half the price. Is Lost Vega your idea too? If so you could choose the spots yourself, that's what most of us have done.

I wish all the best to the town of Al'Derak, I hope it to be a prosperous settlement like it use to be. I will send some guards to your town aswell, courtesy of the Maharaja Dayalu Hrdaya of Samrd'dha, but where exactly is it, I am aware of it's exhistance but do not know exactly where, could you point it out on a map please so I can tell the guards where to go. All the best, Kcaj Nosnikta (Very nice town, love the roofs and great story and picture quality is good too. The only thing is the balcony on the inn looks a bit funny with those goblets but other than that Great job!)

For me I use the sets for parts and so far have been churning out some great pieces, all those gold pieces I'm like a magpie, hehe. I'd like to see ninjago continue for a year or two but I wouldn't mind seeing something different, give this a couple years then perhaps we might see the return of the wild west theme, fingers crossed. IMO Ninjago does have the potential to continue for a few more years but I think by then it will start dying out. To me that seems the most reallisitic thing. If you guys want you could see how long other similar themes have done and try and work out due to Ninjagos success when it might come to an end. Cheers CptM

Thanks for the reply Scuba, should I be wary if a seller has disabled the option of insurance?

Thanks for the advice Gabe, I'm definately going to expand my collection and 1x2 plates I'll keep in mind, I'll make sure I get plenty. When building it I had it in my head about a small little gem in this vast desert but I do understand what you mean and I could have compressed it to just 2 32x32 bps, I should have tried it but I was getting sick of rearanging those plates once I had stuck them down. With bigger plates I do bend the baseplate but I don't like it. A new brick seperator? sounds handy will have to get one of those too. Thanks.

Good job on the map and a lovely story too, I'm honoured to have my embassy in Konugard. May I have the spot in the north east corner next to the mill? Thank you, Kcaj Nosnikta of Kaliphlin

Nice moc, good photos and lighting, I do like the shiney water, if it's a dam then it should look more dammy, some snot tan tiles to look like sandstone bricks would do, or maybe a roundy wall using 2x1 bricks and cylinders. Like it

That's a fantastic tower, great idea too. The RR Rock monster looks good against the grey stone tower, all I want though is some foliage, just a little bit here and there. I like the round bit on the tower, will have to give that a go

I'm liking it too, I'm liking everything about Historica. My embassy is just in a skeleton stage atm. I might try some landscaping, lot's of white bricks and plates for Mitgardia

Greetings Kayne, I cannot speak for Lord Dextrus Flagg but I think you are more than welcome. Please create a sigfig (army optional) showing the guilds colours, dark blue (normal blue is alright if you don't have dark) and normal red then post in the Kaliphlin guild's thread with a short story then moc away!

Wonderful addition to your city, an apothecary crossed my mind for mine, I'll have to remember that. Love the detail and colours. One thing is that corner table outside the apothecary's, it's just me though my own personel tastes where I think tables should be square or rectangular, judging from the space there a 3x4 might work a 2x4 might be a bit small also the missing piece out of the base corner infront of the apothecary and the bald apothecary but again those are my personal tastes, in my city a citizen showing their stud in public is a death sentence. Anyways this is a great build and look forward to seeing many more.

Totally agree, I thought that but really wasn't sure how I'd go about doing that, even with the lego picker-upper-popper-offer tool the plates are a bugger to get off. I know Derfel does a frame but I don't know how to do that. I'll have to give it a go in future mocs. Thanks.

Happy new year everyone, I plan on doing plenty of mocs, I have enough ideas in my head to keep me going for a while I just need enough bricks. -
Woah, awesome work. Really nice classic kinda station thar. It has a really nice clean look to it, I think you've got everything there that a police station needs, the office is my favourite part. Great job!

Hey, also rt click an image and go on properties then highlight and copy and paste into post. -
Hey guys, instead of making a thread for this I've posted here. I use bricklink every now and then and I usually just buy orders up to £30 but I can't resist the temptation of adding more and more and soon my basket is over £100 and up to £200. Is it safe to order such expensive orders and what's the general 'go about' of safeguarding it like insurance and if something does happen how does it work? Cheers.

Another idea is to use coloured paper, black or brown or even tan, here's an idea, try tea staining white paper and add some rips for a tatty look, you could find some tutorials on google. Then what I'd try and do is maybe folding the paper in half and try placing it so it's like this with the sides and front open but the back and roof is covered. Studs hold it down on the top of posts, it doesn't have to be brown just work with what you've got but this would compensate for lack of bricks and maybe free up some more. The paper can be cut to size and you could make multiple smaller tents. For lighting if you have a torch lying around or try and place the moc where there is some daylight and make sure the tent entrance is facing the light to light it up.
-
Wow, great moc! Love that gold, trans yellow and light brick, I definately need to get my hands on some of those. The dwarves are cool although health and safety would have a field day with the one not wearing any head protection in an old mine. The snot rocks are great too excellent!
-
Lord Damaximus, it is good to see embassies popping up already but there is still plenty of time for final touches. The referance picture looks difficult to copy without doing tents and stuff and if ones supplies are low you have to work with what you've got but it does blend in with Hersburker's Claw Breaker area. Good job.

-Beefeater/Yeoman Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: State Dress Uniform Type of headgear: Black top hat with floral pattern and a white neck ruff Type of facial expression: Serious/Stern Color on torso/legs: Red with gold pattern and black shoes. Accessory: Some kind of fancy halberd/staff/spear or this would be acceptable also this. -Old War Veteran Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Camo Green Decorated military uniform Type of headgear: Veteran style hat matching camo green Type of facial expression: Old/wrinkled/worn Color/print on legs: Matching camo green pants. Accesory: Walking stick/instead of an arm a special arm piece with a stump and folded sleeve. (potential for some amusing mocs) I agree with most figs mentioned but military ones with guns are against TLGs policies. Mind you that gangster one was a bit iffy, cool for us but wrong idea for kfols?
