  1. Ska It's great to finally see what Dugal looks like. Mikel it is important to always maintain your guard and to never travel alone, the only way to destroy these creatures is with a blessed weapon, a simple dagger blessed by your local priest should do the trick and thrust it deep into the heart of the Jivana Cusana but do not look them in the face as you will surely freeze with terror, fortunately there are only one of them in a ruin and never use any weapon, only themselves. Be safe on your travels my friend. Kcaj. Rasputin Do not fear for Darecold as what you may have thought was a Jivana Cusana would have been something else as the Jivana Cusana are bound to these ruins, nobody knows why they are but perhaps it is some form of dark magic or something more evil to do with the ruins history. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a freebuild I did for the city of Samrd'dha. A locals wine bar, it may be small but the plonk packs a punch! The rest can be found in the City of Samrd'dha topic and on Flickr. C&C Welcome Cheers.
  2. NM Thanks for posting the pics, from the angle it looked like this like a peachish kinda lipstick The vigs are a good idea, how about to keep it more open have it as a historical event, so it could be a battle, or anything else that could be historically significant to the guild, and as we accumulate more knowledge of the history we can create mocs from that too. So many possibilities, so few bricks. Also the Lerik'ai heads are the devil heads from the Monster 4 game. Mikel That history was written up a while back on here, I thought it was good but I'll have to re-read it when I get a chance to next and start writing up something for it too. Also here's something for the races/species of the Siccus Badlands. They are called Jivana Cusana and lurk in tainted ruins across the plains of the Siccus Badlands, they hide in the shadows and ambush unsuspecting victims taking shelter, the Jivana Cusana suck the very essence of life away from you until there is no more. With enough life essence the Jivana Cusana can live forever until they are banished from this world. If you need more info I can write some more, now I'm off to bed.
  3. Gabe Congrats on 1st place, well deserved, not to say everyone elses was great too Rob Great myth, love it Ska Nice additions, are those Lerik'ai summoning a fire demon? I have an entry which I'll get around to photographing later. Gex I had a lovely time at your party, a splendid host, wonderful food and it was fun to mingle with others too. (although I can't help but wonder if it's a reflection or am I wearing lipstick? ) Angeli Cool moc I have a story for the myth challenge so it's just the mocs to do, I had a moc that I was going to use but it changed so it will be a free build, I also have another moc in the works once I get the myth one sorted so expect some updates, not to mention the rest of my city is to do and the 3rd challenge, plenty of things to keep busy
  4. Damn that's sweet, I love the uniqueness and scale of it all, the plants, the scene, the dragon and story and the way you use the blacklight on your photos, fantastic!
  5. Excellent, a tidy and detailed moc, agreed about that lamp, it looks like the orcs are admiring it too I love the landscape, that swampy, marshy bit is great and those shrubs are fab and the fence, the path is awesome. One thing, idk if the owl should be there, too close to the orcs, perhaps, it could have been a carrier pidgeon/owl/bird for guards to send for help or if you could have placed it in the tree out of the way, I love having animals but sometimes I have to think about putting them in. For the photography, it's good but do you have a lamp for extra lighting? I think that would help alot. Super moc
  6. Lol, it took me a moment for it to sink in but I got it, yeah! Photography is great too
  7. Cool microscale, I'll put that on my list of builds to do for my city Loving all the progress and keep up the good work
  8. Great scene SC, loving all the details although the pooper scooper guy seems to be enjoying it a bit too much The bricks you've used for the walls are a nice subtle touch. Good job
  9. Fantastic moc and great story, love it
  10. The neck definately looks better and I like the studs showing because it looks like scales and I'm digging the colour, I'd say do body first, the spine looks good too. What kind of dragon will this be? a traditional one with 4 limbs and wings or a wyvern with 2 legs and wings?
  11. Very sleek mech, love the greebs and the shape, what are those things poking out the front? they look like dowsing sticks from that angle lol, but are they like sensor things?
  12. I have to say I've been watching your mocs but have yet to comment and seeing it all coming together is looking fantastic, I love how you've shown your design process, not many people do that This build in particular shouted out at me, the play features are great, especially the trap door and I like the hill too because it breaks up the light grey wall. I don't mind the price because it would be for me and not Jonny I'm sure if you wanted to lower the price and amount of bricks you could get away with making it smaller and minus a knight, then you could probably add a weapon rack or something but then that's what battle packs are for. I think it's great the way it is though Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more
  13. Great build! The landscaping is great, the building is wonderful, I like how you've done the fireplace and with a light up brick, bravo. My favourite part is the angled drawbridge. The Lord must be very wealthy to have such a place. Bem feito!
  14. Cool, that's a big truck for poop, we've got similar ones for our septic tanks here in the UK, they're red. I hope it doesn't have an evacuate button Looking good size works fine for me mind you a bit big for my city, for the container have you tried those 'macaroni' pieces?
  15. I can't remember if I ever posted in this topic. The canal boat idea could be more of a creator set. Definately think a news set would be great, the van, the figs and a news room aswell as the post office, since they didn't do one when they done the mail van and plane. I always thought they should have done a seperate taxi set too, an essential for most cities. Definately a new hospital, I missed the last one, a leisure centre sounds great but I could see it more split up, a swimming pool as a seperate set, a gym as a modular building, or you could easily make one yourself. I know this has been suggested numerous times and I know TLG has already done similar sets but I think an amusement park subtheme could work on so many levels, you have the impulse sets like candy floss seller, balloon guy, etc, small sets like a coconut shy, dunk a clown, etc, medium, admission gate, a smaller carousel then the creator one and a ferris wheel and larger sets like a roller coaster, fun slide, fun house, etc. Another, A zoo, animal pens, a cafe and entrance. You know you want them.
  16. Haha, I always love ice cream vans and planned to build one for mine and my bros city but never got any of those popsicles, they do look good, mmm, I can picture this down by the beach on a beautiful sunny day. Good job
  17. To me it looks a bit styalised, it's just my personal taste but I think something more like this would look good. If the handle were slightly wider and the blades have more of a curve it would look nicer and maybe a spike on top too. Just an idea but if you're happy with the current design it's fine. Done. Or something like the one above the mantle.
  18. Agreed, the wiki wouldn't be a replacement for EB or anything like that, just a means of storage like Flickr to organise everything better. I definately support this idea, I don't think EB would mind if we used this as it would be a bit of work to make something similar for here and even if they did we could easily transfer it over. Lord Flagg Thank you for clarifying, I thought there may have been some lenience about size, the progress of the myth is 1/5 done, once all information has been gathered there shall be a great tapestry depicting it. Master Cartographer Gex Your travels are amusing especially the snowboarding, I have yet to try this delightful sport, however I hear your vines are suffering from drought, being an architect amongst other things I have discovered a way of transporting water for uses in agriculture with the purpose of irrigation, I call it a Noria, similar to a water mill wheel in design but with buckets attatched that pour water into a small aqueduct. You may use these blueprints if you wish, aswell as anyone else struggling with water problems. Belkar Welcome to the guild of Kaliphlin it is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance and I look forward to hearing your fine tales. As for the prelude it has me tingling with anticipation of the next challenge. DaMaximus when in doubt Google Translate
  19. That's really cute and detailed, so much packed into this neat little package, the little grave is a nice touch and the trees too, the snow looks good although I think a bit on the roof would add a touch more to the moc and a little pile at the bottom where some has fallen off, with the snow plates I always thought that it makes more sense to put them on top of the 'ground' plates because the snow has fallen on top if you catch my 'drift' Fantastic little moc it would be right at home in Mitgardia
  20. I would have thought the most essential building of every town and village would be a tavern, especially in Mitgardia Looking good so far, the trans red bar and holder is a great idea for the red hot metal ready to be smithed. It's kinda hard to not associate everything Mitgardian with Skyrim but, this blacksmiths does remind me of one. If you plan on adding more things to the smith area, I've seen a cool wetstone somewhere and you could do a workbench too with a piece of armour on or a finished set of armour on display or something, I'm sure you've got plenty of ideas. The forge fire looks good I think the anvil is a bit big though. The house is coming along nicely, I do like that fireplace and the axe above the mantel and ooo pretty lights The standard is pretty cool but I think the axe needs reworked. I look forward to seeing it completed perhaps we can sell some of your fine armour and weapons in Samrd'dha
  21. Very nice LD, is the slopey thing to the left of the stairs a log store, coal bin or cellar hatch? I love little details like this. I don't suppose there is an interior? That technique for the floor is great, I've seen it quite a few times on here, it's a very nice, traditional style tavern, well what I'd imagine of a traditional Avalonian tavern
  22. Hey Mikel great idea, I always thought about some kind of Bestiary thing, there's also golems, gryphons, horses, elementals, scarabs and elephants. Giant Scorpion Giant Golden Scarab Grpyhon by Waterbrick Down and another Gryphon by J4ke Elephant by Sandy Dune Worms Robuko found these ones. About advanced technology in historical times I dare say you could have fashioned an engine of sorts using ethanol from sugar and yeast, so there's cars and planes too. Hope those links worked.
  23. Oh wow, this is amazing, how long has this taken you to set up/collect? I agree with Lorentzen about the greenery in the front being a bit bare, trees are great, what it needs is a path, I guess you plan on doing that though seeing the lamp posts and figs there. One thing though is the painted board instead of using road baseplates, genius. I thought about this but wondered how the paint held up when shifting those big modulars and what paint did you use? Cheers.
  24. Hey Bart, great moc, I love dragons but have to try and make one, yours looks awesome, I agree about the neck being a bit small but you can always add more to it, as for the weight issue I've seen alot of mocs use these for support A more recent cool dragon would be Stormbringer's Toxicrill here on EB, but it's a bit small compared to yours, I done a quick search on google and there's a few dragons on there similar in size. Hope this helps.
  25. When is the deadline for the mini myth challenge? Also, how flexible are the size restrictions? Instead of a 16x16 square could you have 8x32 rectangle? virtually the same, or other variations aslong as they total 256 studs or less?
