Yeah an exact re-release would annoy the people who've paid lots of money in the past. So a slightly different release wouldn't bother me, and would also help keep the original prices from dropping and protect people's investments.

But disappointed that the Tie pilot/guy doesn't have leg printing!? Hopefully they are prototypes. Looks like a good set though!
-
That's certainly good news regarding the MF. Whether it's quite as large as the previous UCS version, we'll have to wait and see, but I'd guess it would have the cockpit that has been shown in the Yoda Chronicles. I'll have to start saving now!

I think Luke is the same as the Cantina version, as far as I can tell anyway.
-
Even as a concept it's pretty impressive. I'm not that bothered if it doesn't actually hold up, I'd still like to see the scale of this thing given it's current build.

After seeing this I decided to have a go at modifying mine. I didn't replace the technic beans, just did my best to hide them. Unfortunately I can't add more greebling without compromising the opening of the top section, but I'm pretty happy with the result. I may look the bridge section at another time.
-
Does it still open up ok with the extra bits added?
-
Sorry, wasn't thinking. Anyway, I'd be surprised if they did a UCS version so soon after that model.
-
UCS TIE sounds good. I assume it will be the advanced. I can't see the other variants being popular enough, and we have a current standard TIE still available. Still hoping for a UCS falcon though.
-
Well my wallet is safe. I may get the t-16, but I'm not sure I like the new tusken raider.
-
I'll be interested in what you can do with this. I got a kit for my R2-D2, but the lights didn't fit very well. Will take a better look at those life lights though. Thanks

Built my extra minifig display yesterday. I needed to make something that the TIE advanced could sit on, which meant a smooth surface was needed. Still a few gaps to fill, but waiting for a few figs (B-wing etc). Still got a few models upstairs, but I've run out of room here.
-
Well this will be a very cheap wave for me. I'll probably just pick up the new tusken minifig. The micro AT-AT looks a bit odd, but again I may pick some of those depending on the minifigs. Still need to pick up a couple of OT sets from the latest wave, so that will keep me going.

Yes, the torso and legs are new, compared to the Boba that was released with the skiff.
-
I'd say it's from this scene, where there is a stormie and a bespin guard: Edit: d'oh, beaten to it!
-
I know my friend is going to buy this as soon as it's available so I'll wait until I see it in the flesh, and then make a decision for the May 4th promo, where it should be reduced a little. I agree it would have been nice to get a Lando in this set.

Looks like there's a few stickers on there, but to be expected I suppose.

Check out the 2014 thread.

I don't own a slave 1, but too be honest I've never really liked the design. Still on the fence about this one, given how much it will cost.
-
That's exactly what I said to my friend. They're probably spacing the big releases out a bit to give everyone's wallet a break! Especially with Christmas not too far away
-
Thanks. Looking forward to seeing the pics. Hopefully we'll get price and release dates soon
-
Next question for you - do you know when it will be released?
-
Looks like there is a helmet with the weapons rack, as part of one of the other mini sets within it.
-
What dates/months are these likely to be released? I know we got the last wave a lot earlier in the UK than other countries around the world.
-
Fair enough, I didn't know that. Thanks
