They've had a potential new falcon in these videos for the last few years. So nothing new IMO. (Doesn't stop adding to the hope though).

CM4SCI didn't say it had that many pieces. Banjo did, after seeing that fake pic that cm4sci made. Maybe he knows something, maybe he doesn't. I also read (a long time ago) that the BB8 set would be to scale with the ucs R2, but that would mean it's blocky and almost half the height, so I doubt it's gonna be labelled as "ucs" and will just be a regular set. I will be happy to be wrong about the size though!

Just finished building mine. Looks great when finished, a little wobbly in the stand, but the amount of stickers put my heart rate up a fair bit, especially the windscreen! Shouldn't the pilot have some sort of joystick for flight control?

Highly unlikely they'll announce anything today, as they won't want people suddenly thinking, ooh, I won't buy all those sets today, and I'll save my money for the big thing coming later. That would damage sales of the snowspeeder. 25th is more likely (but still seems early for a sept/oct release).

I really hope they give the falcon a facelift, as it does look quite dated. If they just do what they did with the Death Star I'll be disappointed. I'll still buy it though!

Depends which country you are in. Europe gets 10% off most Star Wars sets (which has included UCS in the past). US just gets double VIP points on SW sets, and no discount. Won't know which sets have 10% off until it goes live. We know the snowspeeder won't be discounted though.

You'd think/hope that Lego would let the designers have a go at redesigning it with all the new pieces that are available these days. So if it's just a re-issue then that would be disappointing. I'm not that bothered about an interior, but for something so big, I'd rather have something structurally sound than something to look at on the inside.

The snowspeeder is unlikely to be part of the 10% deal, it's normally the older UCS sets that get a discount. In past years I've bought the previous year's UCS set at discount, but won't do that this year (hoth).

That's not the same polybag. R3-M2 comes with the stand and is a normal minifig. The May 4th promo is a buildable R2-D2. Will be interesting to see if we get more of the droids on stands.

We tend not to get double VIP points but get 10-15% discounts instead, and to see how much is the minimum spend. The dates are normally the same.

Haha, I always thought that CL was winding a certain couple of members up with that rumour. We've already seen the calendar, but I'm just waiting for the UK version to show up.

Calendar usually the UK (and Europe?) get discounts rather than double VIP so will be interesting to see what we get when they update the website.

It was in the Chinese store calendar which was posted a while back. Not sure why anyone believed different! I'm happy with it, way better than last year's promo.

Yeah IG-88 looks different. 4LOM looks great. Will be my first non-UCS purchase in a year or so.

31 stickers is a bit much, but as mentioned above, the cockpit stickers aren't full ones. Stickers (thanks to ghostmind @gaf for the picture)

I'll be buying it. Too many stickers, but that's the norm these days. It's confusing why they can make an Ideas set with printed parts but not any other set. Let's hope that cockpit sticker is not the same nightmare that the x-wing was....!

The bounty hunters look great. I'm guessing that link is supposed to be the same picture, as it's also shown on that forum.

That's a bit different from the usual May 4th minifig offering, but I do like it.
